@@John-pp6xy 3rd person is not easier lmao. you have no sense of direction of when your front end spins out and you need that in asseto, if your in third person you cant see your front end, you can only tell by moving the wheel if you still have front end grip, 3rd person just gives you the feeling that your more in control because you can see more, but if your playing a realistic sim 1st person is always a must if your looking to be immersive. 3rd person deems no advantage other than field of view

I know a few games where the 3rd person angles are kinda Meh and make first person more enjoyable and then the first person is done well enough you can actually kinda get a feel for the car and it's length for handling. Some games first person is horrible and just ugh.

My first car in high school was a E30 325is (car was 11 years old when I got it). It was pristine condition, lowered on TSW 5 spoke wheels and Racing Dynamics suspension. I loved that car. I worked at a fancy steakhouse valeting the nicest cars all night long, but at the end of the night, I’d get in my little E30, and felt like it drove better than any new Benz, Aston, Porsche, etc I’d ever driven. Man, I’d love to have that car back!

Hell, one rich kid had an E30 M3 with E36 M3 motor! 🤯
It’s not hard to drift irl tbh, I work as a drift instructor and 90% of customers (regardless of how long it takes) can eventually find the balance and sweet spot to hold a continuous drift around a cone - from there it’s just expanding and developing it to higher levels
@@sail1900 Third person in this video is from a replay, it's not the same camera you would use while driving, as for the physics, different mods can be very different, there is pretty much no limit to what you can do with them.

Keep in mind, if you have something like TrackIR or VR then driving first person is usually better. It gives you a better sense of the cars movement and grip. The only trade off is spacial awareness of the car which can easily be regained with experience in any particular car. So over all it just ends up being better, at least in my opinion. I bet you'll find plenty of other sim racers that agree with me though.

the right questions is: "could he do that in third person?" It is a lot easier to drive in first person when it comes to Assetto Corsa. (The third person scenes on video were replay, he was in first person all the time)

I play GT7 in vr with a sim racing setup, and it's one of the greatest VR experiences you can have. Between the wheel, the vr, and i good 3d audio headset, and it's crazy how much it feels like you're in these cars.
This is honestly impressive... I just got my 1st wheel (Thrustmaster TMX) 2 weeks ago and have been primarily playing Dirt Rally 2.0 and FH5. Im learning how to drift in FH5 and though I knew it would be a challenge, I didnt anticipate that it would consume me 😂. I'm all RWD, no AWD, so im in the cut fr, really trying to learn this artform. I know its just a game, but i respect this man cause i promise to those of u who do not know, this is NOT easy. Every milestone ive made in drifting feels amazing, was never much of a gamer so didnt think i could feel that way about one but ive put a lot of effort in with this wheel. DR 2.0 is more realistic simulation wise, but i have very good settings on Forza so its still a blast and very challenging... I know this is a long one, but this is the reason why i started typing: i want to know how TF he stays so sideways!! My next goal is being able to hold a sharp angle while drifting and its been my hardest task yet. Conquered transitions in the last few days, but this i cannot get so far. Its an art man im telling u, superb skills 💯
Actually most racing games if they have good physics feels wayy more natural than 3rd person you can prob get a better angle in 3rd person but you get that natural instinct to turn when in first person
Yeah when your playing this game most players that record their gameplay will be using 1st person while the camera shows 3rd person. it’s pretty sick tbh because if you’ve ever owned, used, or just watched you’ll see how much skill drifting really takes. i love playing this.

it's not really harder in first person, you get a lot of feedback from the wheel, once you get used to how the game works you can get comfortable on any cam you want, the rest is practice

Yea it takes a while to get used to what works for you with the dead zones and practicing constantly to get the flip and regain traction, too much gas, spin out, too much wheel turn, spin out, press the breaks too hard or forget to gas then turn. Yea
I only drift in first person, only way I can actually gauge body roll and angle properly, hood view is pretty good but I spent years in 3rd person just blasting into walls way too fast 😂
I can't drive in 3rd so honestly I like the 3rd a bit more in videos at more cinematic I have to drive in first or I can't drive at all respect to the 3rd person players of racing games

That car is remarkably understeery, for it to not snap too far in those conditions it’s very well set up considering how slow his steering input is
in assetto you can put a "track skin" without it being slippy. You can drive on a snowy road with 100% grip on it, exactly as a dry track

Not at all, it’s called the BoxCam mod which gives you different camera options to make replays look way cleaner
