Aggresive setup is the way in this matchup. You gotta pressure aatrox with ignite antiheal and hydra.
If you build deffensive he just outheals you in all-ins past 6.
It was only her movement and reaction time that made it snowball in aatrox favor.
Also naayil is fuckin beast.
riven basically can only go an aggressive setup, the champ is strongest in early laning so she needs to snowball it. not that there arent matchups where you have to go stuff like dshield ofc

Hey Mr challenger Aatrox one trick, the problem with Riven E is not about ad scaling on a shield (there's a ton of ap scaling shields, why would it be more toxic than Diana).
It's about she can spam a manaless dash that gives her a shield for some reason. That implies she can theoretically never die as long as she jerks her e button off, if she's tanky enough.

At least his Shield has to have a target and he can't use it to run away from you unlike riven who gets shield on demand and is a dash. Imo a shield should be used for you to engage not to run away
@@lasmariasdc2278 that was my idea for so long - make riven receive a shield only if she dashes to opponent, but if she dashes away, shield wont appear

sett does it true damage and ad for example ; if u have ad + hp items you can do 3k+ true damage if you hit center but if you don't hit center you still gonna do 3k+ ad damage if enemy has 0 armor it literally scales with ad and hp

If your q gets to the point where you can use it every 3 or so seconds you cant use it anymore since it does take time to use all 3 q, so extra cdr is pointless
@@alex2005z Not, really. Shojin has like barely value on Aatrox because both his Q and W counts as CC ability iirc, so shojin’s value is not that high. Aatrox’s Q doesn’t work like Riven, its cooldown only start to count down after you uses up all your Q, while Riven’s Q starts its cooldown the moment you use Q1

the only broken thing in riven moveset is the shield in the dash (?)
It can go to down to ~2 seconds while being up to 400 hp on top of being a dash and with the uptime of her shield it’s basically permanent

It’s not bait because of the item itself, it’s bait because it’s dogshit and nerfed to the ground
It does really mediocre damage and Jak Sho is way better for sustain and Hydra also does goredrinker’s job, but better. A duck flies, walks and swims, but it’s bad at doing all of these. The same goes for Goredrinker at sustaining, dealing damage and clearing waves.
