i luv em!! iv been trying to curl my yarn braids forever and the only this thats worked for me so far is wrapping the braid around a pen a twisting it! that works well but takes forever!
I'm still on the fence with which I like better...it took me the same amount of time to do both. The wraps definitely look more like locs, but for some reason I think I still prefer the warn braids...the take down is just so terrible!
Maybe it's just me but I don't understand the push your hair up part. I tried pushing my braids up and they didn't go any where. I'd really like to do this style but I cant seem to get it.
@nae0420nae i just tryed them yeasterday to go to a concert and they actually stayed in and looked fabulous!!!! there still really curly today as well!
@MultiCreativeme I let it dry over night, but they were still damp in the morning so I blew the rest dry. The curls lasted a few days, but once they fell they had a nice wave to them, which lasted until I washed them.
Wrapping the yarn around my yarn twists was easy . . . What I can`t figure out is how to push the hair up to make the spiral lol . Maybe I`m just impaired .
thanks! I recently did yarn wraps/loc extensions...which I have a tutorial for coming soon...they look similiar to the yarn braids. They still took a while to install, but I think taking them out will be much easier! Thanks again for watching!
@sexualbutterfly I agree the takedown is HELL! lol It literally took me alllll day the last time i did them to take them out. So unfortunately I do not have a good solution for the takedown..yet anyway.
your yarn braids are too cute I think I may put some in once I have some time. Curls came out nice as well.
Im so late but just started using yarn. Cant wait to try this. Very cute & creative!

Very nice, im going to try that technique on my yarn braids, thanks for tutorial.
Beautiful! (now you see how locking your own hair will look,
when locking it 4good :) )
:) thanks for sharing this is very clever. I am a little bit co-ordination challenged so I will use coloured yarn to differentiate.
Glad I could help and I hope you like your results as much as i did!
give it a try its fairly simple and gives such a different look!
love this technique but I'm curious won't you get the same results curling with rollers or twisting tight then dipping in hot water.
Very cute. I want this done to my hair.
I love this method!
i think i'll use another color to make sure i dont cut mine lol... i love outcome of the look....
awesome. Just beautiful
thank you for sharing this i been trying to curl my yarn braids!!! this the 2nd time i put these and i been trying to get them curled!!!
Nice job!!
They do this at the African shop is so much better than sitting going through all the rolling and more affordable

Thanks for this video! beautiful!!
you are braiding in the yarn or wrapping it around the section?
Maybe it's just me but I don't understand the push your hair up part. I tried pushing my braids up and they didn't go any where. I'd really like to do this style but I cant seem to get it.
Since you have done both, which do you like better yarn wraps or yarn braids?
I love your hair....and your video was awesome, you let your work do all the talking....very self explanatory.....i loved it!!!!!
Do you think this could work on mini twist?
Great job

So pretty
How long did the curls last ? This looks cute .
OMG so cool! very creative!
Can u make it straight again by dipping them n hot water again
theeteeteerockstarr great question.
they come out better than when you just braid and dip them
omgoodness u favor me....never thought i say that or meet someone who looks like me...hi beauty!!!!!
Beautiful!!!
Just found out if your braids are larger you have to use 2 or three more strands to do the pull up part of this
@MultiCreativeme I let it dry over night, but they were still damp in the morning so I blew the rest dry. The curls lasted a few days, but once they fell they had a nice wave to them, which lasted until I washed them.
so freaking beautifil
Sorry.. get this same effect by braiding or twisting small sections and dipping them in water as well :)

@MsEmptybox Definitely do not do this on your natural hair only with extensions and synthetic hair.
very nice.
Nice! Thank you!!!
how long did the curls last?
Shai Wilde about a week and a half...the curls just fell as the days went on.
thanks! I recently did yarn wraps/loc extensions...which I have a tutorial for coming soon...they look similiar to the yarn braids. They still took a while to install, but I think taking them out will be much easier! Thanks again for watching!
