Thanks VERY much! After a number of attempts to save my trusty Mac including purchasing a new battery it still would not boot in spite of the resets. I finally removed the ram, disconnected the HD and unplugged the battery again. Left it for a couple of minutes put it all back together and it was alive! Thank you!
I tried numerous tricks and just removing the charger and pressing on for less than ten seconds turned it on straight away (and without any error indications!). Thank you!
It worked! It worked! You are a genius! Thank you.... bless your hands! My MacBook was down for 6 or more months but I need it to work from home. Tried the power 10sec step, then the ram removal but I couldn’t remove my hard drive(no proper tool) ... I go back and tried the 10 sec hold on the power button then connecting the charger and it work! I have never made a comment but you have been a savior!
@@theofficialrafffso what is the cause of having to hold the power button with the power cable disconnected then plugging back in and hit the power button and then having the computer power on successfully?
OMG THANK YOU it's been like 5 years since it was last opened cause my dad couldn't open it and your trick of holding down the bottom for 10 seconds then plugging in the charger worked THANKSSSSS
Took mine to the apple store and they said It needs repairs then I watched this and took out the memory RAMs for 30 secs and put them back in and suddenly it works again! Thanks so much your a life saver! you have gained a like and I have subscribed !
I owe you my life my computer has been sitting in my closet for about a year now because I have up and by taking the back off helped! Thank you so much!!!!
OMG, can’t believe I’m saying this! It DID work!😍 I’m on a 2015 MBP, Magsafe out, power button down for 10 secs, Magsafe back in while holding the power button still and kept holding it down for about 30+ seconds and it DID come back to life! 👍Thank you so much!!!🙏
Guys im about to cry! 😭❤️❤️❤️ it did worked after more than 2 years of having it off, tried like 100+ things from other videos and this one actually worked ! Thank you so so much
THANK YOU. Macbook Pro 2011 off for YEARS. Would not show signs of life, even though charging seemed to work. Sputtered to a grey screen on your second tip but came on finally on your third - holding down power and then reconnecting the charger. Honestly, you're a lifesaver. NONE of this info on the Apple forums, unsurprisingly.
So I never really comment on videos but I tried the 1st method showed in the video and boom my 2010 MacBook Pro 15 inch came back to life!!, thank you so much!!
I tried everything by holding down buttons and so on. Nothing... Then I removed the harddrive, memory, and battery for 1 minute... Then I did the hold power for 10 sec then connect the charger and it worked! Thanks man!!
Frantic that my 6 month old Macbook Pro (2020) had decided to put itself to bed permanently. Found your advice and followed the: press middle of track pad, space bar and ON (finger sensor) button simultaneously for 60s. OMG the relief to see that little apple logo appear only to fade off again. But then another hold down of the ON button for 30s and there it appeared again, this time with the time to load boot bar clearly visible. So so grateful - yeah :)
thanks for video, any idea how to get 2nd hard drive working? as i have removed optical drive & replaced with old sata drive but on boot up, system does not detect 2nd drive to allow me to format it. please help?
OMG thank you so much. I tried the "space + press touch pad + power button" and it worked. It's like 3:30am as I'm writing this comment and fixed my Mac. LOL
Thanks! Worked for me. I'm not sure which of the options worked after I opened the case as I did all 3! Reset the RAM, reset the HD, and replaced the battery. I'd put my money on the battery though.

Don't know if you're still responding. But my mac air just died on me today for no apparent reason at all. It shows that it charges but when i hold down the power button then add the charging cable, the cable doesn't show the green or orange light until i let go. Im not good at all at fixing computers but could this be an issue ? Mind you, it was working great and just cut of for no reason i can think of Thanks in advance
No WAYY it’s been like 1 hour of watching videos and your was the most helpful.
