what is the correct way to render, my emitter is not showing up and my textures are in black and gray

How do you remove unnecessary geometry? Since you block out the Xwing from separate pieces, do you boolean it eventually before you render an animation? (the pieces that interlock, should close geometry within the cylinders, box frame, and thus still be slowing down render time) First time thought really, any clues?
Haven't thought about it yet. Because its low poly it shouldn't really give any problems with rendering anyway. But let's say we would have a 100 of these in 1 scene, then I would just make cuts just slightly next to the overlap and remove any unseen polygons. Probably not the best way, but that's what I would do in a realistic timeframe.

Bro i need some help. I have created a oppo phone model by watching your iphone modeling video. But im stuck at selection tool. Its not selecting & unable to color selected part. Can you help me please.
Hard to tell what is exactly happening in your scene, but I assume you're trying to drag materials on selected polygons. My guess is your Boole object is turned on, try disabling it when adding colors. The materials often try to apply on the Boole itself instead of your selection.

It doesn't need to have white dots, that's just a setting I have enabled for more advanced modeling. The polygons should just turn yellow. If it doesn' t work with the loop selection, try manually selecting them while holding shift and clicking each one of them.
this is not beginner friendly, I could not figure out how you scaled the wing without C. would be helpful if you could show the buttons pressed on the left side corner or something
