Are we allowed to bring rice and dal to Japan(Tokyo) ? I see people reporting customs/immigration confiscating and disposing of these items as they require phytosanitary certificates for rice dal (pulses)and other grains. Also, do we need to declare rice/pulses during customs ?
As per rule yes you are not allowed to bring the above mentioned items but if the stuff is seal packed then shouldn’t be a problem (less chance of custom to notice). Worst case they will not allow and throw, not more than this.
Thank you for the tips! What are living solutions if I am coming for a ~100-day MBA semester exchange? In above video, what will change considering 100 days trip? Pls shoot a video related to Railway passes. Heard their prices has gone up by 80% :(
Hi I am travelling to Japan as a student next month. I have recently heard that rice and pulses are sort of restricted item to carry. Is it true? Or how much should we carry in case we want to?
Same here, leaving next month for Japan for studying. Had the same doubt! I heard some people have taken 5 kg before but you never know what the day might bring to us, less than 5 kg should be of no problem, I think!
