- There are moments in life where you’ll have to make decisions that would make people either disappointed or angry, but you know it’s the right thing to do to help yourself going forward in life. With that being said, I’ve decided to cancel the Miraculous Ladybug meets My Little Pony parody project. For those have been following me for awhile now on Twitter, you may know I’ve been on and off from making this project ever since 2019. Back then, I was really looking forward having it completed as it was supposed to be the grand finale of the MLP Meets series! Now, with how much has changed in the past few years, my heart is just not into it anymore.
I’ve been working on it for 3 and a half years now that I find myself upset just thinking about it. Not only that, but I don’t find making animated videos parodying existing IP’s fun anymore. I’m at a point where I want to move forward with providing more original content. In order to accomplish this, I’ve spent the past few years coming up with stories, scripts, concepts and many, many, MANY drawings so I can prepare myself for what’s to come. That’s part of the reason why I’ve been holding off from making Ladybug meets MLP for this long. That and helped with some collaborations like AniMat’s recent Animation Lookback and some Re-Animated projects.
I thought I would take on both the future and Ladybug meets MLP at the same time, but the more I try to accomplish that goal, the more it stresses me out. Plus, I still got my day job, personal life with family and friends, my workout routine, unexpected plans and more to focus on. It’s not easy finding the right balance at times. I would feel much more relax if I just stop making MLP meets and similar parodies altogether. It wasn’t an easy decision.
I want to apologize for those that were looking forward to the final results of my last MLP Meets video. I do appreciate your patience and kindness towards the project these past few years! I couldn’t say the same for myself. Even though I decided to cancel it, I decided to upload what I had so far here. That way you could get an idea on how it would had played out.
The MLP Meets series overall was a fun journey! I honestly didn’t think there woful die a point in my life where I would dedicate most of the decade making videos based on My Little Pony. Not to say that’s a bad thing whatsoever. The Brony fandom was not only fun to be apart of for awhile, but it has helped me accomplished my dreams into making animations for fun into a reality. Plus, I’ve gotten to know so many great people that I’m still friends with to this day! Say what you want about the fandom, but If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t be in the position where I am today. I may not be a part of it as much as I used to, but I’ll be forever grateful for them for given me this opportunity to help improve on my art in the future.
I can't thank you guys enough for your support! I’m looking forward into bring more surprises when the time comes! I’ll still posts updates of progress on my Twitter page down the road. Until then, take care!

This may look like an unfinished project, but it was partially epic seeing Twilight's fear and rage of ladybugs. I guess MLP meets is gone forever. 😭 I thought MLP G5 would be the last of the MLP meets series, but I guess not. Twilight, wow. 😓 She does not take kindly to ladybugs even Ladybug at all, does she? 😑 RIP MLP meets series. You will be missed.

Sad to see this canceled, this was very entertaining. I understand the feeling of not having the heart and drive to continue making certain videos, I stopped making reactions and videos in general a few years since I didn't have the urge to make them anymore. Hopefully your future projects go well and am looking forward to when they come out!

I remember seeing this preview for the first time at Everfree Northwest last year and I was really looking forward to seeing it, but I completely understand why you chose to cancel it. I honestly am a little upset that this got canceled, but I have to admit, this preview was really entertaining. But like I said, I completely understand your decision. I just want to say, thank you for the amazing MLP Meets series, it was such an amazing journey. I’m wishing you the best of luck for whatever you plan to do next for your channel in the future. It’s a shame that was canceled, I used to see your videos back in the day but I ended up leaving the brony fandom like in 2014. I eventually came back to the fandom in 2020 and was surprised to see that you continued making mlp content. I wish you luck in your future projects.

People may be disappointed or sad to see this series end, but I think it's just a testament to how much you've grown as an animator and content creator. You've been working on this series for nearly a decade, which is an amazing accomplishment. Much like the show itself, all great things do eventually come to an end. Thank you for all your contributions to the fandom over the years. The fact that there are individuals who've grown up watching your channel is very telling. Best of luck to your future projects and endeavors!

Thank you for all of the amazing things you’ve done over the years Toucan. If you wish to move on from parody videos, then that is your decision to make. You’ve made so much wonderful content for so many people for so long that it wouldn’t be right right for others to tell you what you can and can’t make. Even though it's not done , it pretty neat to see all the processes it takes to animate and write a show. while also breaking it down pretty well too. It can be a lesson for those of us who want to get into animation. So there some good in all this . I hope your life has better luck and look forward to this channel future

I am upset this got canceled and we didn’t see the whole thing. I am upset with the disappointing conclusion, but I understand. I’ve been watching your MLP meets series for almost a decade! I love them and your others videos, you’ve improved so much! Being part of the Brony Fandom is a blessing. Being able to work with people like AniMat is so awesome! However, we all have that time in our lives when we get stressed and need to make the right decision, no matter the consequences. So despite this, I respect your decision and wish you luck in life!

Aw man. A better way to end this was a MLP Meets All-Stars/Everyone returns (including Ladybug) as the finale where every villain led by Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow would return to have one last chance of conquest with help from both Cobra Commander and Megatron and their respective armies. Twilight and her friends would have to rally everyone including the people they befriended and meet as well as Duke and Optimus Prime to fight back and save Equestria one last time in an Avengers Endgame style battle and ending. That would have been a beautiful and amazing way to end this series. I just wish Toucan can do this. Because that would be awesome.

The run was good while it lasted and it was one of the best things to have seen ever since the MLP unexpected video over a decade ago (Good lord, I am old and when I was just starting to get into the fandom). It also gave me a bit of a chance to try out voice acting which I still like here and there. For those wondering what I appeared in during its run, I had voiced two roles. One of them being a Changeling (Which I did twice). But thank you for letting me be a part of your vids, Toucan.

I kinna like the unfinished sketches. It has a unique quality that sets it apart from other Blank Meets MLP videos. Also, it's pretty disturbing watching Princess Twilight sadistically hunt down someone and revel in torturing and frightening them. Kinna reminds me of Babs Seed. LOL

It's really sad to see you not able to finish this. I never agreed with the whole twilight is afraid of ladybugs thing since it literally came out of nowhere just for one animated short I also didn’t like the implications of twilight sparkle being hypnotized Since I feel like it manipulates free will so I personally like to consider it non-canon To the actual series

It just made Twilight seem very unlikeable that her so-called "cure" made her wanna kill ladybugs.

Not to mention Twilight believing Ladybug spots are "extra eyes that watch you" thing never made sense to me because 1) It was Shining Armor that told her that.
I'm not saying he's a downright idiot but you have to admit he wasn't exactly the brains of the outfit either, especially since they were kids at the time. And 2) Twilight is supposed to be the smart one right? Why would she spend all of those years still holding onto a made up detail from her childhood?
To think that she would look it up to find out that's an urban myth after reading all of those books, but NO she still has that belief based on what her BROTHER told her when they were kids.
Way to make a smart character like Twilight into a complete idiot am I right?
