At last! Something to do with my bourbon empties! Great idea and execution. Thanks for warning me not to use live rounds, but I saw that part too late. Doctor says I should be able to walk without a limp if I strictly adhere to the physical therapy regimine.

😂 glad you enjoyed the video! I actually made a newer video that walks you through the build and shows some changes that make the project go smoother.

Man, you just don't know...I've been on a fruitless search for the perfect gift for my father for what seems like forever. He's a cool cat and all, but he has everything, needs nothing, and can buy whatever he wants..but he can't get one of these at the liquor store! Bullets and bourbon are his two favorite things. I'm curious to know if the casings can be bought or if I need to go on a "hunt"...? (Like what I did there? lol) Hmm can probably Google that, but if there's a kind you might recommend over another for any reason, I'd love the advice. Really like your content and admire your diligence. Thanks and please keep it up! Oh and for what it's worth, the end of this video was hilarious, and the ending of the tracksaw video (how's that holding up btw?) was my personal favorite - "Go make some dust."

Thank you for watching and the kind words! I always feel that something made is more meaningful than something bought, and I’m glad to hear your going to make one of these for your father. As for getting the casings, my family and I keep ones from shooting but that doesn’t produce enough for orders plus you need to clean them then, so I get them from Etsy. They come cleaned and polished plus I can help support another small business. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, and we do have a more in-depth video on the lamps. Thank you again for watching and “go make some dust “ lol.

What size bottle did you use? And what size lamp shade?

I like to use the larger bottles most of the time. This one is a 1.75L bottle and the lamp shade is 6" top 10" bottom with a 7.5" slant.
