How to draw a 3D Piston in AutoCAD ( English Instruction)

Hi, I'm a new subscriber and i appreciate your videos so very much but one thing i'm not clear on is if it's normal practice to modelling everything in one .dwg? all the other software's use one part file to sketch and model one part then we add all the individual parts into an assembly file.
