My twin sister was treated like royalty, but I got beat with belts & switches. It has taken abt 6 yrs of therapy to let that anger go. It still hurts, but I realized, I don't need "love" from the ones who treated me that way. I fight the "I'm not good enough" mindset every day. That being said, I was never jealous. I'm glad she was able to eat at nice restaurants and go on lavish vacations. I knew it wasn't her fault they chose to favor her. And I hope these 2 sisters realize that. I hope they understand.

I agree and this is also a type of being ignored that is greatly impactful in a person's childhood and mental health. If she is being constantly put under the stress of everyone else's expectations, she will have a very hard time finding value in herself and in the things she values. It is a hollow unfulfilling existence wrought with confusion about ones personal worth. This is from experience. I hope she knows she has value and worth.
@feyfox8005 If you live your life on the world stage, you world have to be a special kind of crazy to treat your children so differently by with explicit favoritism. Royalty have many laws in regards to defending themselves so we won't get any clarification, BUT, children must be seen and attend functions and he does what he can by minimizing any attention her way and maybe even bringing the attention to his more confidant child. She may have even agreed to this herself to protect her sister.
I think maybe dad and maybe even sister make sure attention stays focused on them to allow shy sister to dutifully attend functions yet not be in the limelight.
The not-so-expressive child is the way she is because of the way she is treated. Shy and less expressive people actually also need the same amount of love as the other siblings (shocking i know). The reason they act this way and appear to not want the attention/love is because it was denied to them in the first place.

By using the excuse that its just because they're royalty and that its their culture doesn't have anything to do with how children should feel loved by their parents. Watching this broke my heart. I hope she is able to find someone who loves her unconditionally.
My twin sister was treated like royalty, but I got beat with belts & switches. It has taken abt 6 yrs of therapy to let that anger go. It still hurts, but I realized, I don't need "love" from the ones who treated me that way. I fight the "I'm not good enough" mindset every day.
That being said, I was never jealous. I'm glad she was able to eat at nice restaurants and go on lavish vacations. I knew it wasn't her fault they chose to favor her. And I hope these 2 sisters realize that. I hope they understand.

As a twin, I can say that this is very true. I was the black sheep, so I know how she feels. Hell I’m still the black sheep which is the main reason why I decided to kick myself out of my own family. To any parents that have twins or more than one child please do not show favoritism because the other one will grow up to hate and resent you 100% of the time and you will regret treating them how you did and continue to wonder why that child presents/hates you so much. I know from experience. I have family members wanting to apologize to me for me to let them back into my life. But is one thing about it and two things to show I may forgive, but I will never forget; and the same with her and any other black sheep of the family. Just something to think about.

I am completely broken because of countless bad memories. My father didn't even have a reason for his behavior. He just loved his first child more, we never really found a reason for it and this makes it even more painful. When you try and try to be loved but end up disappointed...
I'm the first child, and my parents didn't like me.
They had my little sister and loved her.
It has always hurt.
Even now my mom says I won't inherit anything.
To be unloved and not know why hurts.
As an adult I asked my dad why he loved my older sister and not me...we soke, I got closure, healing. He tried in his own way to make up. He died a couple months after.
So glad I had that hardest conversation of my life with him 💘

i happened to be the favorite one and i can tell you i love my siblings so much and it hurt me seeing my parents being unfair with them; i grew up keeping my distance from my father for the sake of my siblings, i feel awkward now that we’re adults. when i reach out i ALWAYS talk about them because i dont want no one to feel left out like they used to do then.
he lives in another country now, and last year he paid for my ticket to go see him. i swear i made him promise this year he’ll be paying for my sisters, and that’s what happened.
it’s just sad that when my sister asks for a little help he still have to chat me and ask if he’s going to help or not 🤦🏻♀️ i find it plain stupid really

If she is being constantly put under the stress of everyone else's expectations, she will have a very hard time finding value in herself and in the things she values. It is a hollow unfulfilling existence wrought with confusion about ones personal worth. This is from experience. I hope she knows she has value and worth.
@feyfox8005 If you live your life on the world stage, you world have to be a special kind of crazy to treat your children so differently by with explicit favoritism. Royalty have many laws in regards to defending themselves so we won't get any clarification, BUT, children must be seen and attend functions and he does what he can by minimizing any attention her way and maybe even bringing the attention to his more confidant child. She may have even agreed to this herself to protect her sister.
I think maybe dad and maybe even sister make sure attention stays focused on them to allow shy sister to dutifully attend functions yet not be in the limelight.
The not-so-expressive child is the way she is because of the way she is treated. Shy and less expressive people actually also need the same amount of love as the other siblings (shocking i know). The reason they act this way and appear to not want the attention/love is because it was denied to them in the first place.

Tiene demasiada paciencia y fuerza de voluntad para aguantar tanto, yo abandone a mi familia porque pa eso tenian a su hija preferids, como yo era el del medio literalmente eres invisible en la familia, ahora 15 años después quieren retribuir lo que no hicieron hace 15 años, lamentablemente yo ya tengo mi familia y no voy hacer lo mismo que hicieron ellos, literal ahora me pasan llamando pa pedirme plata o pa sacarlos de problemas financieron cuando literalmente no tengo ningun recuerdo de ellos en mi infancia, ya que nunca estuvieron, solo entretenian a mi hermana, mi unica familia era irme a la calle y desaparecer todo el dia y vovler solo a comer y dormir, esos amigos de la calle eran mi real familia y nunca nos abandonamos, bueno solo cuando nos volvimos adultos y cada uno por su camino pero seguimos conectados, cosa que mis padres no hicieron conmigo, con decirles que cuando me gradue nadie fue, solo fue mi abuelita q.e.p.d., ya que ella era mi pilar principal y fue doloroso cuando la perdí pk me intente intoxicar para irme con ella pero mi ex pareja me puso los pies en la tierra, no la odio, de hecho le agradezco el gesto que tuvo y gracias a ella pude cambiar mi mentalidad miserable x una mejor, no siempre los padres se merecen lo mejor x criarte, solo estan cumpliendo una OBLIGACIÓN que ellos mismo crearon, asi de simple
