How many of us LOVED Lisa back in the day . that vocal tone , breathe control and FACE was made for the camera. SHE HAD THE X FACTOR... its sad she wasnt a huge star in the U S A . she is an ICON in the U K..
How many of us never stopped being a fan and 25+ years of producing amazing music? Saw her in concert in 2020 and she steamed up the stage as one would expect.
It’s one of those songs I used to listen to three times in a row. Also, I feel just like Black Pegasus does this time, all the points he made and that dancing. 🕺👍😎
Saw her in 92 in SF!! Took my now deceased sister. I paid extra and we got a second tow table and it was a small theatre! She had already had so many hits...I'm really surprised she played there....and believe me I was first in line to see her. Any comments from people? And he has to know this song!!
@@ursulabklyn_mia6148Man, ever since I watched that performance, I can't help but to shout this every time while I dancing when I hear this song now 😆...
Our Lisa is from Rochdale and is still in Rochdale. From what I know, we're both small town girls from Manchester, she has a beautiful singing voice... her talking voice is completely different, very strong Rochdale accent lol she's the best
Not mixed ethnicity, she's been described as a "blue eyed soul singer". English by birth. Grew up listening to soul music (her mother's favorite music).
You gotta see her do this live at the Apollo - it’s one of the most epic performances. The whole crowd is dancing with her. She’s a Northern English girl. ❤
When this came out in '89 it was huge, played on every radio station and packed every club dancefloor, Lisa has a great back catalogue, The Right Time All Woman Change To name a few, she also did a great duet with Barry White singing this track Also check out Coldcut ft Lisa Stansfield with their biggest hit People Hold On 🇬🇧
Lisa Stansfield was a fantastic singer. Class act. I bought this CD this was on, and it was a rare one, in that I loved every single song on it. I think this came out in 1990, just as I came back from Germany to UK. She came from same town as Mick Hucknell, and same time frame, must have been some great music in the local clubs with those two, b4 they got famous.....
Lisa is English and this is from her first solo album. It came out when I was in my mid 20’s and it was played in all the bars and dance clubs. Loved this song!
I used to sing this song all the time especially as a single mom to my son when we would ride together in the car. He was so cute! He would be in the backseat about 3 years old saying.. I’m right here mommy! I’m right here!! He was still a happy boy even if we didn’t have much! We had each other! ❤
In most the reactions I’ve seen to this song, not only did the reactor immediately recognize it but a lot of them always assumed the singer was black because of her vocals. This song is a classic.
Early 1990....This came out when I was stationed in Mannheim, Germany in USAF....I remember black female soldiers coming into the BX/PX looking for this cassette/CD......they said to the clerk, "Who's that white chick who sounds black?"
This song came out in the 80s. It was a banger 🎉. When it played we rushed to the dance 💃🏽 floor Lisa Stansfield is white, English not mixed from northern England (raised in Rochdale)
She has so many great songs, she also sang this number together with Barry White. This is another one of her songs, Lisa Stansfield - In All the Right Places
I love this song such a vibe. her voice is soooo good. Lisa was one of the voices I gravitated to back at that time. Brings back so many good memories. She was massive in the UK charts. She made her debut, smashed out a few massive hits over here and then disappeared just as quickly, still very memorable.
Not to be pedantic, but it had to have been in the 90s that you were in Greece dancing to this, cos this song wasn't released till 1990. Btw, I'm going to Greece for a holiday in May.👍
Lisa is English, from Manchester. She also sung this as a duet with Barry White, who worked on one of her albums with her. Absolutely huge here in the early 90's.Fabulous voice. 👌🙂💜💐🇬🇧
White women in England love their soul music. Dusty Springfield, Lisa Stansfield, Josh Stone, Amy Winehouse, etc. Always loved her because she is kind of jazz, pop, soul, fusion.
Pegasus you need to hear "All Woman", very powerful song from Lisa! Thanks for this reaction bro 👍 Lots of love to you and your beautiful family, coming all the way from Trinidad ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
She's English Born & Bred(White), a Northerner (like Mick Hucknell).. She's a Legendary English Soul Singer from the late 80s & Early 90s! You should cover Her HIT "ALL WOMAN" THAT'S a PROPER 'SOUL' RECORD! - You'll love that!(Great Lyrics & Sentiment!) ..She also Sang Live with George Michael at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 92?(after he died) at Wembley. That might be worth Reacting to.. But her other records are Great aswell & Worth a Reaction! "Never Never Gonna Give You Up" being one
She is from Manchester, Lancashire, England but brought up in Rochdale. (Fun Fact - brought up close to where Gracie Fields was born (ROchdale). (Gracie Fields' surname was also Stansfield.) I am wondering what happened to Lisa I haven't heard about her for a long time.
One of the best female vocalists ever, I have been fortunate to see her perform live on many occasions and she never disappointed. Many others have alluded to different live performances but I have to recommend her duet with George Michael for the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in ‘91. They sang ‘These Are The Days Of Our Lives’, whilst Lisa performed ‘ I Want To Break Free’ on her own, wearing a headscarf with rollers and pushing a hoover as a nod to the Queen video. All of her back catalogue is phenomenal but the Real Love album is one of my all time ever favourites and recommend you to react to any other performances by Lisa 😊❤
See how much music is sampled?! I used to watch Showtime at the Apollo regularly; Lisa Stansfield’s performance of this song on the Apollo was epic; she was nervous at the beginning; you could tell; the whole theatre was on their feet for her; it was wonderful ❤ Why would you think she was mixed? She is British. By the way, many of us rocked the short hair in the late 80's and early 90's if you had the face for it :); did the big earrings and flashy clothes look.
Finally! Let me tell you @Black Pegasus you're in a treat with Lisa! What can I say, very powerful, distinctive & soulful voice, Lisa and her music were very present throughout the 90's. All Around The World remains her biggest hit and although she has other and maybe even better songs, she never topped the success she had with it unfortunately. You should definitely react to more of Lisa's music, so fingers crossed there will be more from her, from you in the future Cheers ;) ✨🌎
This song was so incredibly popular at the time especially for us youngsters who loved to dance. This song hit the right spot between pop music and clubbing music but for me her finest song is ,"Change' it was her growing up song for me such a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice
so glad you mentioned how P Diddy spent most of his career using other peoples talents. Lisa's voice and vibe are sensational. love this song and I know all the lyrics just love to sing along with this song.
She is British....Love me some Lisa. I still play it to this day as the entire album is LIT. Check out her performance at the Apollo LIVE...girl got a standing ovation!!!

Single released (from her Arista debut album) 16 Oct. 1989. Recorded in 8-track studio behind her parent's house. Vocals recorded in two takes with strings added at Strawberry Studios, Stockport, UK. FGS listen to originals NOT pathetic copyists - those that CAN do, those that CAN'T just ignore them!
2 number ones, 16 top 40 hits, 8 top 40 albums. lisa is huge in Europe. Sang with Barry White and George Michael too. Fans have been waiting 7 years for a new album. mainly soul but she's did house music and even Northern Soul with her Carry On track from the album Seven.
Dang... I know this song, but never knew any details about it. I don't remember the initial leadin, but the moment she started to sing the lyrics, its unmistakable.
"This Is The Right Time" and "You Can't Deny It" were also very big hits for Lisa Stansfield. I'm glad you reacted to this song! It's awesome isn't it?
P. Diddy almost Had to keep doing covers to keep paying back sting for the rest of his life. He did not get permission from sting police to use the track "Every breath you take" in the I'll be missing you song. And when he was sued by sting..the court ruled Diddy has to pay sting $2,000 a day Everyday every for the rest of the rest of his life, Sting definitely not at the Dirty parties. 😀😀😀

BARRY WHITE is LISA STANSFIELD's idol. This song, in its sound, tempo, melody and orchestration, is almost a tribute to him.
I always loved this song. Her voice is amazing and the music is real.
So fun to dance to...back when there was love and friendship.
Lisa's live performance of All Woman at The Royal Albert Hall 1994 is a favourite of mine and a joy to watch and listen

Aaaah. LISA - was so in lust with her when this song came out. Such a great jazz and blues voice ...
One of the rarest songs about female accountability. Later on other albums that had to change to sell records.
She is also an actress. I recently watched Miss Marple and she was on an episode. Love her! Great voice! This song is from 1989
Her “Time to make you mine” song AND video would make you blush BP and in the best way. 🤩
Dancing to this at Heaven in Houston TX back in the 80's was at times a dream, the song is silk and goes well with a cheap drink night!
