Good technique for smoking things on the Weber grill. That pork loin was still nice and juicy.

Pork loin reminds me of my audition that I sent to the voice. It was great but so sad.. I knew it wasn't going to happen. I had to face the facts head on. And now I'm the regional sales director for a small software company. I love my uncle because he will always support me and I'll always support him

Both are great recipes. The smoked pork loin looks so juicy and wonderful. And the sweet potato soup looks luscious. I would be tempted to add a couple of cloves. But that's just me 😋

I really like pork loin a lot, especially when you get it tender, juicy and flavorful. I've heard of sweet potato soup but never tried it. Is it really good?

I prefer sweet potato pie to pumpkin pie, so sweet potato soup must be better than butternut squash soup, right? Gotta make it and test my theory. ☺️

Wow that soup looks like a winner. Would it make much difference in the smooth texture of the soup if I used an immersion blender instead of the countertop blender?

    • @grifentei652
      @grifentei652 6 років тому

2AKNOT I think an immersion blender would work just fine, although I'm not sure how much of the water they added into the blender - using a regular countertop blender would give you more control over how much of that water to add in to get the ideal consistency

Run the Ribalizer (sp?) ribs under the broiler with a fresh coating of sauce and you will have even better ribs than traditional, and still faster than trad, as well.

You should specify the type of dried apricots you're using. In my experience, dried apricots come from either Turkey or California, and they taste completely different.

    "Smoke and fruit"
    I saw a video, featuring a pie,
made in a 10.25 inch Lodge
    skillet, containing cherries.
    Amazing! Yes, I did try.
I wonder how that chutney would
    be, using dried apples?

use this recipe and marinate a center cut loin for at least 24 hrs in the fridge,,, the n rotisserie over fruit wood coals. Score the roast lengthwise before marinating... lots of ingredients in the sauce but well well worth the effort. basted the roast a few times while it was cooking... THE BEST PORK I HAVE EVER HAD

Never put tinfoil directly on hot coals the chemicals inside are not good for humans. Instead use chunks of wood spaced inside the goals and fire it up from one side so it burns through the pieces of wood.

I hate that they won't give you the recipe unless you pay for a subscription to their web site. Sure, it's a 14 day free trial, but watch out, they will charge your credit card on day 15. I used to be a member, but never visited it enough to warrant the monthly fee. But they use their videos to increase their revenue with money from your pocket.

I just clicked the links in the description, and the website showing the full recipes showed up, no subscription needed. They used to have paywall with membership required to view recipes, but that's changed ever since their old host Chris Kimball left.
