Please ... I love the Orient Express! but I speak English and I would love to understand. Please can you put captions for this in English? Please. Thank you.
Varius types of Hellenic State Railways' locomotives were used for hauling the Simplon Orient Express. For Greece was not something extraordinary of a train but just a long wanted connection with Central and Northern Europe. However, during the years following CIWL changed the original route or even suspended it. Anyway, about your question, one locomotive of prewar era that probably and obviously should have been used to haul the Simplon is Κγ (Kappa-Gamma) series of SEK (ΣΕΚ). One last remaining in "good" condition is located in Drama Railway Museum in Central Macedonia, Greece. You can see here some more images (unfortunately also this docy is without english subs but soon this will be settled): ua-cam.com/video/QNAtDILvWjQ/v-deo.html
Why bother putting the title and description in English if the documentary itself isn't in English, and subtitles aren't available? There's no point in watching if I can't understand what's being said.
In many cases it is Google that shows it to you in English. In fact, if I forward some videos to friends via WhatsApp, the title in WhatsApp appears in the original language
Absolutely stunning work - both the restoration of the coach and in the telling of the story. Bravo!!!!
