  • This is a short tutorial on how to fix a leaning tree, we had an oak that was leaning heavily from Hurricane Ian in September of 2022.
    This is how we fixed our leaning tree with items we had in the garage.
    Highly recommend that this is done asap after a storm as the water table is still high and the ground is wet.

      When I watched this video, I was thinking how respectful he was toward his wife, when 90% of these "macho" men DIY videos have to dis their wives, even (especially?) if they're not around. What is that about with this population of men? And then there was YOU... What does that say about you?

    I make polispast ( blocks) system to rise bended trees. Bigger tree - more blocks.

    Oaks are beautiful tree until they cause damage to the side walk and those roots also damage your sprinklers.

    Good info, but I would reconsider where you have that oak planted.

    So how long do you keep supports up? I used stakes 3 in ground vortex stakes and 3 ratchet straps to upright a 5 year old maple tree and I concerned there is too much tension on the young maple. The tension is all on one side of the tree.

    Very very dangerous dude. You never wanted to put her in sight of ratchet rope!

    • @JaysonJudson
      @JaysonJudson  Рік тому +1

      It’s really not a ratchet rope, it a tow strap with 32,000 pounds of breaking strength.
      I was confident that it pulled a jeep out of a ditch that it could handle the tree.
      And the angle of the camera, when I was moving she wasn’t near the tree.
      Appreciate you watching and your comment

    What did you use to cut the notch in on the smaller 2 by4

    • @JaysonJudson
      @JaysonJudson  Рік тому

      I didn’t cut a notch, I used screws to go from the 2 by 4’s that were on angle to the ones around the tree.
      Obviously making sure they never went into the tree.
      If you wanted to cut a notch, you could use a miter saw if you have one.

      The councilor who took the credit for planting these trees is probably gone after 1-2 terms... short term gain ignoring long term pain...

    Why didn’t you just dig around the left side of the tree relieve the dirt and then the tree would’ve stood up by men pack it down after the tree straight
