So many people commented it wasn't working. However I didn't explain all the steps trying to make the last video very short. This time I went step by step with them on screen and explain exactly what you need and need to do. I hope this one will answer any issues
I dont grind it really. What I do is I just wait a short bit for prices to start stabilizing a bit. Then I go buy a bunch of wood and fur from battania and then take it down go askar. I sell the wood and fur along the way. I buy mules and horses that should be enough go get 25 horses and 12 mules for full speed bonus for my early party. Now you can buy 100 of something that's a really good deal and then sell it along the way to wherever you're going next. Then I buy a bunch of something there and sell it and any leftover other stuff along the way. You can find good deals just by hovering over the prices before you even get any trading skill levels. It takes almost no effort to get to the point the colors are right there in your face in a town then you just fill up your inventory 3/4 of the way and everytime you go in a city you sell green on the right side and buy green on the left side. You'll always be profitable and thus always getting xp and more gold. Just do this in addition to whatever you're doing. It's free money and free xp and you were already going there. Don't grind. they all work together and tied together. The only reason I mention steel was to keep it simple, you can use any metal to lower the price, something like 500-1k wrought iron to town might do it. You can couple this together with wood and charcoal also
I do agree as I think it is a mechanic, its like buying all products at a store and selling in the world for a mark up as the supply is lower vs demand. Kind of how video cards were. However most get on me for saying that so I just called it that. But it's mechanic thats been it he game since day 1 of early access to I 1000% agree with you

Hey Flesson ive taken a break from bannerlord as I've had a lot of problems with the recent patch such as the smithing shrinkage bug and sieges seem to have gotten worse. Seems pretty quiet from the devs is there any word on a major patch upcoming? Thanks
Hey Flesson just out of curiosity would owning multiple smiths in Sanala manipulate the demand and thus the price at all? Also can confirm as a console player that I had tried this exploit a few patches ago and it did indeed bug out after one attempt, it simply just refused to acknowledge the trade after which I gave up messing with it, so good to know save & reload fixes it I'll give it another go now that I know that, I appreciate the info bro.
@@Flesson19 Ah I see so doing it midway through my current campaign would not yield the same results you got or at the very least it would have diminished returns, is that correct or am I totally off base here?
@@HypnoticChronic1 you want to find a spot where the prices are high for metals. Anyplace will work as you when you sell the steel it drives the price down, but the more expensive its worth the more xp youll get each time. Sometimes you just need to visit a few shops and see what they are paying for lets say 1 fine steel and see who is paying most and that will be the town to do it in
@@Flesson19 That makes sense, I ironically still ended up Sanala anyways because of the price. Thanks again for taking the time to answer me and if I could pick your brain on one more topic despite it being unrelated to trade I'd appreciate, as I cannot find any consistent and or credible source elsewhere. I'm currently in vassalage to the Southern Empire (both other imperial factions have lost all their holdings which we control) however, our AI keeps declaring war back to back with barely anytime to breath in between, thus we get engaged in a war then 2 other factions (typically Vlandia and Aserai) jump in and we end up having to fight a 3 front war across nearly the whole breath of the map. All of my holdings are on the western side of the map (former Western/Northern empire starting areas) so I am right in the center of the crosshairs and am unable to cover the whole breath of the area alone (friendly AI are not exactly helpful/useful), so my question to you is (if you can help) is either how do I stop my faction from continuously declaring war nonstop and or how do I prevent a war from turning into a multi front war with multiple factions? I would really appreciate any insight and or tips you can give, as I am still pretty wet behind the ears when it comes to comprehending the totality of this game.
@@HypnoticChronic1 if you have a lot of vassals there is nothing you can do. The key earlier in the game is to have a few vassals or even companion clans. With less than 10 and the policy reducing your cost to override them you can dictate wars and peace. I have 100% reduced escape chance for prisoners, so I hold them all hostage so when or if I wat to peace out, they pay me. It's the price you pay, more vassals they decide what to do, less vassals and not as powerful but you can decide. For me, until I have about 10 holdings I dont go crazy getting vassals so I control the action.
no because trade gives 50 cap per focus point and attribute 14 per point -10,if you only had 5 trade and 5 social then your cap would be 260, 6 social, 274, 7 social 288
@Flesson19 yeah i did the exploit sold my steel to the city tried selling my metal to the caravan but he just kept buying at extremely cheap prices and selling to me at extremely high prices

@@SHXMIBZ now there is a way to do it. It would require thousands if not ten of thousands of materials to do it. My friend Hero I think shows it off, let me know ifu want to se it
Do yourself a favor. Bring that skill point to 9 not 8. Cuz if you don't and you don't have enough metal (what he suggests is no longer enough) it's gonna get VERY grindy. This braught me about half way, the next fourth was decent, but by about 280 it was only increasing 4-5 levels and by 290 that dropped to 2 levels and at 295 it was half a level to a level. I got lucky and levels at 298 and with that skill to 9 it finished it off...
yeah for times sake its how much you got is equal to time. Like my first run ever I did in 9 days, I has so little metal it took me around an hour to get 300 but with alot of it very quick
@Flesson19 so I'm trying to understand the mechanic at play here. Is the caravan price getting pinned to the price in the city like the anchored settlement prices do?
@@kalan4787 right, the price of the caravans goods are determined by the town they are close to. Lowering the price of something in town will lower the price of the caravan for that good if it's near that town
kind of a shame that exploiting like this is really the only way to get the 300 perk. I spend alot of time leveling trade with every legit strat i could think of, but only got to 170

yes, I wanted to get it simple, but your 100% right since they are the same category, just like horses, war horses and pack animals. My friend Hero is the one who figured this out. ua-cam.com/video/c0o2YVNRq0E/v-deo.html&
you saved me
Woot, not everyone gets the process, happy for ya
8:06 I have 5 social and 5 focus points and I still got to 303 , can.t replicate the exploit tho ( obviously )
I had twice the metals you did so that might have something to do with it
@@blitzkrieg2928 it's the price in town that does it, when no metal in town you sell to caravan so it's expensive, then sell metal in town to drive price down to about 15, then buy metal back from caravan cheap
@@Flesson19 Thanks a lot
@@blitzkrieg2928 all good now?
Hey Flesson ive taken a break from bannerlord as I've had a lot of problems with the recent patch such as the smithing shrinkage bug and sieges seem to have gotten worse. Seems pretty quiet from the devs is there any word on a major patch upcoming? Thanks
from hat I hear not before the 14th, and maybe a hotfix, but I would assume around mid to late this month I think we will see 1.2
Great guide, but I think the first part of the video is wrong, 8 in social and 5 into trade doesn't make hardcap 302.
8 X 14 is 112 -10 is 102. 5 X 40 is 200. 200 + 102 is 302. I have a video with a graph that shows hard caps. ua-cam.com/video/c28G9z65bK8/v-deo.html
I can make it whit 6 in social?
@@germanroman7906 Must have 8 social and 5 trade to hit 300
@@Flesson19 no me la conteeeesssss
if it happens to be your own caravan, would you get any profits from it?
if at the end of all the trading you would get a % of the profit it carries over 10k
How do you get it to work in the console? I'm on the ps5 and it won't work.
your not trading enough materials, you're not driving the rice enough in town or dont have the points into social and trade
I think it would but not by a ton to justify spending that much on them and waiting as you want to do it as soon as possible while prices are high
What happens if I don’t have 8 points in social and 5 points in trade? Will it just not work?
no because trade gives 50 cap per focus point and attribute 14 per point -10,if you only had 5 trade and 5 social then your cap would be 260, 6 social, 274, 7 social 288
This only works with metals? Or thia is the worthest material to trade?
Hardwood/charcoal, also horses, my friend Hero covered them. Let me know of u want to see them

Does it count for Fat Cat achiv ?
yes it should as your getting trade xp trading
for some reason, caravans are buying for low price, what should i do
Not sure what ya mean, as you do this no time should move. You just go in and out of town, game doesn't advance
@Flesson19 yeah i did the exploit sold my steel to the city tried selling my metal to the caravan but he just kept buying at extremely cheap prices and selling to me at extremely high prices
@@NotThatGuyDoes your doing the opposite, with no metal in town then sell all but steel to caravan. go into town and sell steel to drive price down, then buy from caravan at cheap price. Go back into town and buy your steel, now the price is high again to sell to caravan
@Flesson19 ohhh so i shouldve sold the metal first?
@@NotThatGuyDoes sell all but steel to caravan, then sell steel to town, but all your metal from caravan, the last buy steel back from town, rinse and repeat
So what if you don’t have 8 in social n 5 in trade?
then you cant hit 300, that is minimum required unless you do something extreme like 1 huge trade which takes forever to get enough items to do it
Thanks for the quick response !
@@onealjones318 Thank you for watching
Has it been patched? I repeated everything to the letter and lost about 26k
U do lose a little in the full process but depending on how many materials you use, you can get 300 in 5-60 minutes. I just tested it earlier this week. This way you do lose money each transaction but get 300 very fast
my trade raised to 101 solelly with worshops... then it stoped... any reason why?
are you at your hard cap for the skill?
Do you need to have 8 social cause I only have 2
yes 8 social and 5 trade is 302 hard cap
Oh damn😢😢
Hey does this work on 1.29???
I just checked it a month or so ago and worked fine
@@Flesson19 thanks G!
I bet if you built 3 smiths in a town a week or longer in advance that this may further help to make this exploit go faster.
How did you discover that this all had to occur on the same game tick?
I think it has to do with prices changing then. If that's what you're referring to
@Flesson19 so I'm trying to understand the mechanic at play here. Is the caravan price getting pinned to the price in the city like the anchored settlement prices do?
@@kalan4787 right, the price of the caravans goods are determined by the town they are close to. Lowering the price of something in town will lower the price of the caravan for that good if it's near that town

I do now, this is an older video when I wasn't. All my guides from the last month -2 months are scripted
kind of a shame that exploiting like this is really the only way to get the 300 perk. I spend alot of time leveling trade with every legit strat i could think of, but only got to 170
I've tested it, even with 10 into social it takes me around 700-800 days to get 300 with horse trading nerfed
Starts video. Gets to 1:51. Goes back to game and refines for 2 hours. Take a smoke break. Return to video.
yeah getting the parts takes awhile
is it working in 1.2.9?
yes, I update the title and most times the pinned comment to let you know
I just can't get through the video, I cant concentrate on it
for simple sell your goods make inflation then buy them for cheaper then sell it again do it all again
Can you passively gain experience by just selling armor and weapons?
I cant think of a way since its, very hard to make a profit doing it, would need all the perks and even then it wouldn't be much
How do you get so much metal??
Even though they dont have a lot of money, you get XP for the total amount of the sale regardless if they have the money to pay for it. The more metal, the less you trades you gotta do
@@jakeroberts3070 my apologies read it wrong. Smelt pugios and tribesmen throwing daggers
