I friggin love that 6-7,000 rpm slow shift that this guy does. Reminds me of a stallion picking up speed and stretching its legs. I do the same thing! It sounds amazing. No one else does it this way. I mean, I'm sure he could shift like lightning but it's all about audible pleasure here. Good driving. Subscribed.

Exactly, and I am saddened that we do not have this ability anymore on modern supercars due to DUAL CLUTCH, which sounds very odd and uninspiring. It is not just speed that gives pleasure of driving, there are other parameters , too. Who is going to tell that to Ferrari or Lamborghini. So far Porsche is the only one still making high performance cars with traditional Manual transmission. Although that won't ever sound like this. Sadly Shelby Mustang and Corvette both are now PDK

@@khaledkhan1741 we had both a 2014 gt500 and 2020 with the dct. Driven both, I’ve always been a fan of manual. But the one auto id take over it is the dct like whats in the 2020. It’s more fun to me than manual, as long as I use the paddles though

I'd love to know how you managed to capture the car exhaust audio so well with that GoPro. I have one but when I put it on my 07 GT500 I pick up so much wind noise it's hardly usable. Did you use an external mic? If so, which one and where did you place it?

You fail to understand my statement. I never said the engine in the new GT was a F1 engine. I did state that it was a race proven engine. Both statements are true. 2014 turbo or super charged 1.6 L 15,000 rpm 90° V6 that produced 600+ hp with energy recovery systems that bring the total hp to 750. These engines are intake and fuel restricted and could produce over 1000 hp if unrestricted. "Double restriction on fuel consumption: fuel quantity for the race limited to 100 kg (-35% from 2013) with fuel flow rate limited to 100 kg/hr max" So again to those who disparage on a use of a v6, your belief that only a v8,10,12 should be used is ill-informed. There is more friction with more cylinders, more moving parts to brake and more weight. All of these things are less than desirable. Good day.
No, my comments stand. There was no topic shift. The thread topic was as disparagement on the use of a v6 power plant. I had originally addressed those statements made and are still present. I did so with facts based on the foundation thought process that Ford presented. I did backed up their ideas with real world racing engine technologies. To present evidence as to the viability of a v6 power-plant in no way is a digression. Very loud doesn't do this car justice. He comes to Cars and Coffee in Toledo and does a pull past everyone at the end of the morning. It is painfully loud.

Funnily enough I think you’ll find underneath there are quite a few bits engineered by lots of other countries. Off the top of my head, the brakes are Italian, the chassis was engineered by a couple of people from lotus (uk) and the gearbox is British

It disgusts me. Ford fucked the GT40 legacy by turning the new GT into a marketing stunt to promote "Ecoboost". This car deserved a howling V8. But that's what happens when marketing men in suits make decisions for performance automobiles.
The V8 is the heart and soul of the GT. The aesthetics are just an added bonus.
The back-pressure sound from the exhaust when he lets off of the throttle is classic Ford awesome.. Love that sound!
I heard that's actually bad for engines. Something about negative vacuum sucking oil through the piston rings causing oil consumption. You're supposed to either shift into the next gear or into neutral from what I was told.

Yeah youtube is definitely a wonderful thing. You can always go back to the past. The new Ford GT is obviously an amazing car, but its engine will always be disappointing.

Im with you. Unfortunately Ford is now all about their ecoboost engines or as i call them, EGOBOOST. Because thats all they are there for. To boost Ford's ego. But anyway, this car should have had a 3.9L ecoboost 9000 rpm V8. It would have been perfect.
Yeah haha but still a v8 will be against le mans regulations. but still I think the whole ecoboost is extra lame with a little bit of lame sauce on the side. but I think if ford wants to shoe their raw power for that car I think the 6.2L v8 would have been very nice and aggressive haha
A turbocharged V8 would have made Lemans regulations as long as it was under 4 liters. A N/A V8 could be over 5 liters, look at the C7r. There is a rumor out there, thats saying the upcoming GT500 is actually gonna have some kinda ecoboost V8.

If I remember correctly, it has Ford racing headers. It's definitely louder than a stock GT.

Love that throaty sound your GT gives, doing those ramp onto highway accelerations probably had you between 110 a 120 mph, only trouble is that law enforcement loves to pick off cars like yours with their laser guns or instant on radar, loved the though !

Everyones gonna hate me but this sounds so much like my mustang GT with a corsa besides that nasty let off between gears. This video is amazing tho, let me say that. The color looks great on the car, the old man ripping it, the way this was filmed with go pros on the outside of the car this video made me feel like a kid again. Now I'm going to drive my baby GT lol (2018 Mustang GT)

+Leon Kamen yall are missing the concept here. The point is he's not racing there's not a track are any pressure to do so; thats not the point at all. In person yes I would advise him to pay more attention to the timing of his shifts. That is a lot of car that is highly undervalued and out of respect for the car I personal believe he should consider paying more attention to his shifts. Sorry everyone on UA-cam can't agree with my opinion, that sucks for you but what I wanted out my comment was for the driver to recognize he can be better and to be more mindful to the vehicle.

Give it time, the GT will be in the same category. Some vehicles slowly become classics and build value over time for some unpredictable reasons. Others, like the GT, are viewed as instant classics and will command above-market value when new on the showroom floor, and the price will never look down. Unlike the 60's muscle cars though, I doubt with the exception of signature vehicles (Shelby, SS, etc.) and age aside, anyone could predict then, the market desire and price they would fetch today.
Im not a ford guy but i love the ford GT, i saw one last saturday in downtown ATL for the first time. It sounded godly. I couldn't catch up with the guy to talk to him :(.
If I drove anywhere near those speeds in my Mustang,I would have been busted for sure. He wasn't wide open but he was doing at least 145mph.

What are you using to record the sound for this video? I notice there are GoPro cameras but they always make a rattling noise even with the adapter, and there is no way they pick up that clear of sound without wind buffeting.
It's already been proven. Hennessey teams clocked this car at close to 300 miles per hour. check it out. this build is so nuts.
