So I have some real shit to talk about here. Most of us know what we are in for with this song, it has serious emotional ties and pulls on the heartstrings. At 4:18 we all knew exactly what was going to happen based on the original song, that swell of the choir is very core (at least to me) to the original song. The thing to note here is this song downplays that very specific point and hangs on it for fifteen-ish seconds. It takes the original song and tinkers with the core element of it which to me is incredibly risky. The driving point in remixes is how close they are to the original but deviating by doing their own thing, which was done here but it also let me slightly askew. None of this is inherently bad, I like the song but I am interested if anyone else thought of this in a similar vein.
Maybe my favorite arrangement of all the ones you already did. Amazing work, the way you capture the original emotion of the music while giving it the frenzy of synthwave is fantastic.
