3 gallon turkey bags are good for burping larger amounts at once. I use one for each strain instead of burping 50 jars...... Temp storage and burp humidity important, you do not want your bud to condensate when you burp(dew point) if buds are cold in a warm humid room....Love the content and style....

Hang dry full plants in a grow tent with a small fan pointing towards the back wall of your tent. You don’t want the airflow directly hitting your plants, you just want airflow movement in your drying space. Keep your temps at 60-65F and humidity levels at 55-60% for at least 14 days with the help of a humidifier (preferably one with a built in humidistat)After 14 days do a stem snap test and they should be ready to jar without the need for burping. The chlorophyll has already been broken down during the 14 day slow drying method using your tent. Enjoy!!😎

I've only been growing around 4 or 5 years. I trim mine first and then pull them as soon as it's trimmed. Then I hang them until the branches bend and crack. Then bring them in and break it all down into 2 liter Mason jars. And I also use the moisture packages in my jars. I'll burp my jars twice a week. That's it.
I'll do that for about 4 to 6 weeks before I touch mine.
And if anyone is interested. I started using CB antennas during my grow. 2 years ago one of my ladies snapped in a storm. So I had only an antenna in the garage. The plastic coating was coming off and the copper underneath was showing. I mended the plant the best I could, and stuck the antenna down beside the plant and used zip ties to secure it. I couldn't understand out of 4 plants why this particular one was growing so wildly! Huge with massive flowers. Turns out it's from grounding. The wire draws something from the air and the earth and does some shit to the plant. So now I pick 2 plants and use antennas. I get more yield to make more stuff lol

Trust me you only want to dry about 7 days or you'll go too dry. Get some of those little hygrometers that fit in a jar. Take a branch and trim off enough nuggets to fill a jar one third to a half full with a hydrometer in there. If it's under 62 humidity get everything trimmed and in jars. If it's a little higher then try another plant. My last grow had 2 plants where the humidity was 8 % difference. If you're between 62 and 69 I would still trim and then leave the lids to the jars off for 1 hour per day. Keep in the dark. What you don't want is what happened to me the first 2 grows. I waited 10 days and the plants were around 56 humidity. Every time I burped a jar it just slowly went down. Boveda packs work. I was skeptical but it brought the weed to exactly 62%. Better to jar a little early than late. Aim for 60 and 60 while drying.

I live in a very humid environment so I do a "relaxed" wet trim and hang branches in the tent with the dehumidifier set to 55%. Usually about 8-9 days. Then they sweat in paper bags for 3-4 days until they read the recommended 10% moisture. Then a final manicure and into the grove bags.
I prefer the one ounce bags over the bigger ones. It helps me to keep the grades and phenotypes separate. Plus its fresher because the bigger bags would get opened more often

I made an automated 5 gallon bucket I call the Burpee. It uses an ESP32 MCU and a small OLED display. Inside the bucket I have a Temp/Humidity and VoC sensor. The MCU will trigger a daily burp if the Temp is too high or Humidity is high. Using the VoC sensor, I can get an idea of how much terpenes are in the air within the bucket. This gives me a general idea of how far along in the process I am. The burping takes place via a coil of tubes lining the bottom of the bucket and are punctured. I have a small hanging layer net that hangs from the lid down into the bucket. So the actual flower is kind of just suspended in the bucket. :D Yeah I know... nerdy but I've been growing since 2006 and IT is my 2nd passion next to Cannabis. Combining the two worked out well for me. :D

50° temp. 35-40% humidity. Which I have to use a humidifier..
Takes my large bedroom at 3 months.. I agree slow it down..
When I burp it's so quick.. on off on off for a week in large bins..
    When I jar, it's ready..
I also did a 9 month cure.. just using humidity up down process..
Gotta say it was bang.. just so patiently attending..
Also done 1 month.. still good, just more attention..
Keep in mind I grow bibs.. L bibs.. lots and lots..
And I don't sell 1 bit.. I just give it away.. and it's the goods..
    Love this channel

Started with the pros at 12 years old.. I still think as a flower, it's way way up there in the whoa factor..

Occasionally when nutrients are high at harvest, I cut the plant from the soil (I like dirt). I then place them in vases or buckets filled with clean water for the last couple days…then a full 24hrs of dark in the water before hanging in the drying space.
The idea of keeping branches intact is a good one…sometimes you can learn in a lunch break with the right person, what could take years to notice on your own.

I stopped using the humidity packs, they rob the flower of good smell and taste in my opinion, based on experience as well. I get better results maintaining humidity on my own by checking the jars a couple times per day. I shoot for 62% Rh. If it's too high, I leave the lid open until it drops, if it's low, I'll put a drop of water on a piece of paper towel or coffee filter and place it in the jar. It's easy, and the flower smells & taste much better! I do this for 30 days minimum, and up to 6 months depending on how busy I am.

i do 4 days in the open till they crisp and then get them into a tub, still on branches, the lid on when you want things to get a bit moist and lid cracked to slow it down, keep it in the tub for a week or 2 and once the stems snap you are good. If the ambient humidity is higher than you want your weed keep the lid fully closed.. at that point they do into jars, and they cure as i take weed out over the weeks/months. If you can leave some buds 6 months you wont taste anything but the flavours of the buds, all that chlorophyll ends up looking brown like it was sun cured.. thats how they do it in morocco making hash they just dry it in the sun for a few days

Drip pans with water on bottom of tent serve to add or remove moisture as needed which is always at 62 percent but 63 is maybe better. Exhaust at lowest setting. working for a large farm. gotta handle 200lbs a week.
dude speaks the truth about the basics. I like to use a contractor's lumber moisture meter to check the smallest stems on the hanging (drying) plants. if the moisture reads above 17% then it's too soon to begin the cure. at 15-16% the stems won't quite snap, but I can leave my cure bags open for a few hours at a time to let the last bit of moisture escape.
I know it seems weird to check the stem moisture since I'm cutting the buds off the stem before I cure. this let's me know if the bud will dry too much while I'm off work. may not be a problem for a home grower. you could buck at 9pm of that's when they're ready.

A good humidifier in a smaller room. Closet for example. Then monitor it or get one with settings where it turns off auto when desired humidity is reached. Good rule of thumb is to go 5 to 10 degrees under and see what it levels out to.

Hopefully I can weed out some of the more time consuming concerns I have about the the process with regards to everyone else's recommendations. No way will I have a chance to open a jar consistently twice a week let alone twice a day.

I feel like curing is for growers that harvest lbs at a time with no intention of smoking but storing pot for along time so it will stay longer in stores, if your like me you get maybe a pound per plant and its doesn't spend much time in a jar after drying it because ita getting smoked.

I've found the cured buds last much longer and taste better if placed in the freezer until use. They cure more in there it seems.

I am going to try that for a small batch and see if I can replicate the old timey "Thai Stick taste".

A VPD of .9 is the dry target. < 70F is preferable! Ready to smoke in 7 days if you don't mind a little harshness. 14-21 days it's ready for the jars. If you're able to maintain .9 VPD you don't even need to jar it at all.💯✌️🦚

Everyone’s humidity levels are different, whether you reside in a high or low humidity zone, and the weather and light, temperatures. All effect the final product and its individual curing time and final taste. Therefore, until you experience yourself, trust judgment, leaning a little towards longer over sooner. Enjoy!

I have to agree with Robert Thorton below...If you keep your temps and RH in the 60 range, 14 days minimum. After several grows, I've noticed if I do it this way, nice and slow, I've never had a stem snap at 7 days. If it does, you dried it too fast and the quality will suffer. Go the distance, stay patient, you'll be glad you did. Don't believe everything you hear on the tube. Just because someone has a you tube channel, doesn't make them an expert. Use common sense, do some deep dive research from actual Agricultural scientist. Remember all good things take time. Wine, bourbon, weed

55f 55rh wet trimmed inside a vacuumed chamber to negative pressure. I focus on dew point in conjunction with vpd and total air pressure. It's actually quite easy and significantly less expensive than those cannatrol units, which are basically a raspberry pi controlled thermoelectric wine fridge that uses a wet sponge for humidity . I'm very disappointed that scam has taken off, but I think people will soon realize that there's significantly cheaper and easier ways to accomplish what they're doing.
