I wanted to make sure it wasn’t a defect on the pair I purchased so I went to a store and tried on another pair. They had the same issue. So it’s not just a fluke with mine!
Thanks for this review. Loved the sense ride 3, but had issues with the 4. It’s good to hear about deal breakers. The SR4 ended up being a great hiking shoe for me. Also is this also an ad for Ogden Made? Def on brand.
But other Salomon shoes have the same material but none of them are stiff enough to be noticeable. I think it’s the material that the tongue it made out of that causes the problem.
7:01 Nope its not just ur food, i expirienced exactly the same when i buyed them, that end of tongue of the shoelash, is horrible, i did just a 20k run with them, and the moment it went steep i feelt it, thats a 100+ Bucks for the Expirience gone, Next time i i chek the inserts before i go for a run. After that 20k (and i allways take biger shoes my original shoe size is just EU45/46 but i allways take atleast 2 size bigger), i had on the upper side of the food behind the big Toe, on both Feed a very Red spot, and i knew if i would have gone for 40-60k this spot would have killed the run. Glad to see this video, Sad to see it after i purchased them! Well atleast i got now some gardening shoes or some to go buying groceries xD
I had a lot of problems with the sense ride 4 the sock liner would slide all over the place and after a long run with a couple of creek crossings the midsole took forever to dry out I’ll never buy a Salomon shoe again

Sense ride 4 had that awful spongy ortholite insole. Luckily the new one has better one! Pulsar trail pro has similar insole as sense ride 5 and it sticks to the smooth midsole preventing it sliding around. I would put some hot glue in the shoe if it had slippery textile material facing the insole insert.

They do have that weird cushion there. Crazy, but the material got softer when I broke it in and it is a lot more comfortable now.
i had it rubbing on the top of my right big toe but as you said its not always there, i cant decide if its better loosening or tightening the lace

I wonder if it was a product defect with the tongue! Disappointing though, I was thinking I’d pick up a pair based on looks 😂

I have the same problem with these shoes, all other parts are great, but it hurts my left foot so cannot use it for super long runs..
I'm glad I'm not alone with that problem! Such a great pair of shoes otherwise. too bad.
Interesting feedback! Too bad the shoe didn't work for you. Seemed like a great shoe overall.
Any problem in durability of the midsole "
After 100ish miles, there wasn't any noticeable problems in durability.
Yo is this Johnny depp or his way better looking brother who makes me want to run.
Haha get outta here. You need to get your eyes checked! But let me know when you’re ready to start running man. I’m here for you!
You would think a tester would’ve stopped that issue before production so strange
I know. I wonder if I'm very unique in my foot-shape or something...
