EDIT: We JUST got a HERE WE GO on Enzo Maresca to Chelsea from Fab!
(Glad I uploaded when I did 😅💙)
~Mono 💙
I’ve seen a lot of people doing this kind of vid, but you’re the only one i trust
Appreciate that brother 💙
Me too, Mono is the Don
Regardless of the optimism I have on maresca, I’ll be looking forward to his adaptability under pressure and how defensively solid he’ll make our players become because PL will definitely TEST that defensive ability. 🤞
I’ve been waiting for this one for ages. Thanks a lot, Mono 🔵
It's that time 😅💙
the battle of the bald will be legendary
Shine vs Shine, who will win? LMAO

I was literally just about to play another Chelsea UA-camrs video, then I saw your one and instantly clicked.
I appreciate that brother! But make sure to spread the love to other channels too! 🥰
The more I heard about this new manager the better I feel, let’s hope it goes well! Great video bud
I'm excited to see what the future holds for us under Enzo. Thanks for the kind words!
Definitely deserves more subs💙
Very Good video👍 Briefly explained.
Fantastic video.. easy to understand.. God bless.. hope Enzo Maresca for a long time in Chelsea and do a great job here
I'm very optimistic about this move. I think Maresca is a far better fit than Poch was for the Chelsea project.
Agree with this. A lot of the pieces of Poch's system didn't really fit into place imo, but EM seems to know how to play good possession football, which suits our team far better than Poch's chaos ball
@@wisdomnzube4121 The expert in anything was once a beginner - Enzo is a disciple of Pep Guardiola and has a far higher ceiling than Poch. It's not farfetched in the slightest to argue that Enzo is better tactically as a coach, especially considering how poor Poch was last season for us. I would be rather shocked if we don't do far better this season than we did last season.
@@wisdomnzube4121 Steady on, fella. I said he's a better fit, not that he's better. The directors want a possession-dominating team that controls the game rather than a high-octane, high risk Pochettino side. That's all.
My only question is over Nkunku on the left wing, he usually prefer playing inside but you think he can still do that role without a fullback or Gallagher overlapping him?
I think he's more than capable, and I'd imagine he would interchange with whoever would be inside of him in the left 10 position, so half the time he'd be playing there instead of a normal winger imo
So it’s basically exactly the same tactics poch started using when he was playing cucuerlla in cdm in possession and LB out of possession
Very similar yes!
@@monocfc well it started to work and we was winning games so hopefully this manager can win games straight away because if he starts off losing and drawing he will be under pressure straight away
Weldon Mono 👍🏼
Love you Mono
I see you watched his video when he was explaining his play style big up 🎉🎉
They just signed him😭, great timing btw👏
I almost scheduled it for 30 minutes later, would have been dead on if I did! 😅💙
Would have love to have seen more information about the differences of Enzos system and Poch's. May we get such a video when we we start seeing enzos system during preseason?
I'll add it to the ideas list! 😁
If he fails the sporting directors should go with him
This formation may suit Cucurella but not more forward-minded full backs like James, Chilwell and Gusto. Would it be possible to have an asymmetry to allow them to go forward? Or will they lose their places in the team?
The best player we have (if fit) not used to his strengths of shot-creating/goals in James,
Shoehorning in either bad ballplayers (badiashile), or arial weak defenders (Trev) into a lineup seems stupid
I do think we will see us utilize either Fernandez or Lavia as 3rd CB in possession, creating a base to build from.
I also think Nkunku offers to little with on the left, so if we play him (he should start since he is our best attacker) we do need either a fullback or a midfielder step up and provide overlaps there.
I do see us set-up with
Sanchez
Fofana - Lavia - Colwill
Caicedo - Enzo
James - Palmer - Nkunku - Chilllwell
Jackson
I just think injuries aside, Cucurella isn't good enough to warrant leaving out Enzo, while Nkunku and Palmer needs space centrally.
I can't take this seriously at all - Badiashile is a great ball-playing CB, and Chalobah isn't aerially weak in the slightest?
I highly doubt Enzo will go the Sarri route considering he's used a 3ATB system all season, but it anyone WAS going to drop between the CBs it would be Caicedo, not Fernandez.
Nkunku has been great from the left in the few times we've seen him there, and he doesn't need an overlapping fullback as he can interchange with the left 10 instead. Shoehorning in a terrible fullback like Chilwell is quite simply ludicrous imo.
I doubt Sanchez will play as he's a liability on the ball in comparison to Petrovic who is much calmer in possession.
My lineup in this video was one of many ways we could go about setting this team up, if I was strictly doing a strongest XI it would clearly be:
Petrovic
James Disasi Colwill
Caicedo Enzo
(RW) Palmer Gallagher Nkunku
Jackson
The RW could be either Madueke or Olise if he's signed.
The issue is we have so much midfield depth that one of our DMs or FBs will have to be sacrificed in order for us to play In Maresca's style, and that's largely up for debate as to who that player would be, and I don't believe there's a definitive answer, either.
I don’t think they’d sign maresca knowing he doesn’t plan to use both Enzo and caicedo in the team together. I’m pretty sure he’ll tweak the system . But like for like, this is what it would look like
It's pretty much confirmed at this point 😅
lol yeah I know. I was just looking at the potential lineup you’ve put up and I think maresca’s starting lineup will include both caicedo and Enzo. Otherwise, the directors probably wouldn’t have hired him.
It will be a 433 with Enzo Caidedo and Lavia. Can’t bench the club’s highest paid players..
@@alexluckoo55 Tbh even if that happens I think we are in safe hands - Caicedo can play at RB and in the middle he can act as that inverted fullback (even though he's just in midfield) with Enzo in the Winks role.
@@omoruyiodosa5495 We have multiple different options/setups that we can use with the midfield. If I listed them all the video would be an hour long!
Don't forget Casadei might jump into the team considering his previous experience with EM, anything can happen, it's just speculation.
Besides, with Lavia's injury record I doubt he'd be thrust into the starting 11 so quickly, he's been crocked for the entire season.
It's an upgrade and a good one
Time will tell, but I believe you're right.
Yes, I've seen this tactical breakdown. Along with ces, febrigas and some other up-and-coming managers. And they are all very good but I just love this man's passion about it.😊
Mate this is a positional play coach ,he cares more about players occupying zones more than specific personell that oucupies those zones so he likes a 3-2-2-3 like you set up but it would be like this instead:
Sterling Jackson James
Nkunku Palmer
Enzo Caicedo
Colwill Badiashile Chalobah/Disasi
This is the exact same system that Maresca employed at Leicester but without our biggest wide threat Reece in Midfield & Nkunku on the touchline
A quick question, will Palmer still get the freedom that he got with Poch or is his freedom going to be limited?
I would imagine so. He'd be playing a similar position (inside right 10) or off of the RW. Palmer is one of those players that is so good that he's always going to find freedom (whether that's by dropping deeper or moving into the pocket) regardless of where he plays.
On paper, this looks like a good appointment. In the real world, the pressure could be a big barrier to success.
Pressure makes diamonds, and we already have a few gems in our team 😁
How will Gusto fit into this system if Reece James remians fit
If James stays fit for the entire season Gusto will be on the bench, but will most likely rotate in as we have a lot more games next season (with us being in Europe, 2 cups, and the league).
Maresca's 54321 Gone 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Not sure if he is an upgrade compared to Poch, but I hope he does well. Probably means Gallagher is gone tho😢
I don't think Enzo will have much influence on the transfers tbh - the board seems to want a manager that would settle for anyone.
Reports I've seen have suggested that he's a big fan of Gallaghers, actually.
@@monocfcyou are probably right the board are looking for a yes man, 100% the reason why we didn’t get De Zerbi😂😂 and hopefully we can keep Galladawg, been nothing but a servant to the club
@@KingArcher141 Gallagher certainly has a role to play in this team, but with the money he might go for I fear the board may be blinded by pure profit 😓
so what happens to Malo Gusto?
Gusto is our Bench RB.
One thing is that you cannot ignore a 100mil enzo Fernandez. In all likelihood he'll play . Maybe he takes Palmers place and madueke is sacrificed
Yeah Enzo will most likely start, just wanted to throw a few additional options out there - we have so many talented midfielders that I think Maresca is going to have a large selection headache next season.
@@monocfc true. I just hope we keep Gallagher. No one represents Chelsea like he does
What about Enzo?
The fact that we are building looking at Leicester city DOESN'T SEAT WELL WITH ME.
I just hope we'll not be playing a slow predictable "so called position football "....
For me Gallagher is a hard worker I really appreciate him because the lad is humble and willing to play for us,however i really don't think he's talented. Selling him will be best
Harry winks averaged like 85 passes per games lmao how is that Gallagher role at all?😂
You clearly misheard, I didn't even compare those two. If anything, it's Caicedo playing in Winks' role in this system, and it's moreso just positional than overall "role" in the team.
Where does enzo fits in this setup?
Enzo can slot into either Dewsbury-Halls position or deeper in the midfield next to Caicedo (which I believe is more likely) with Caicedo acting as a pseudo-inverted fullback on the right side.
@@monocfc Enzo should be able to have the ball further up the pitch, and Caicedo as pseudo inverted full back sound to me like a fancy way to say right DM.
@@Laggy_McPing Well if you want to simplify things you could say that, but that disregards the nuance of his position/role - he'd be tasked with filling in at RB when defending at times, and is occupying the Ricardo Pereira role, who is not a DM.
@@monocfc so simply a Michael Essien type role of a box to box midfielder that also helps defending the right wing. Could work. Moises can handle that but don’t forget about Lavia because I think he could be key next season to support the midfield allowing Enzo to get higher up and allowing Gallagher to be sold most likely.
Enzo will be wise to continue Poch's formation that the players are used to & then slowly implement his tactics.
Shot alot bru
This team does not fit a inverted fullback setup. Reece james is either forced to play as the rcb or the DM in a pivot. He is one of the best attacking fullbacks in the world and everything we saw from him under TT will go away. Enzo and caicedo does not fit it either. One on of them has to move further up and neither of them are good there.
Palmer and nkunku are best in a inside forward position and one of them has to be playing out wide were both of them are wasted. This team is perfect for the tuchel setup and the only reason poch decided to use this was because of the injuries. It was only temporeraly
The system is fluid, the players aren't limited to those starting positions, it's just an example.
Like we saw with Cucurella and Gusto, the two fullbacks would likely swap in and out of the inverted role depending on which side we are attacking, and this could provide opportunities for James to get forward.
Enzo and Caicedo are both box to box midfielders, they can play anywhere as long as they are able to build-up from deep. We didn't see this from Poch because Enzo was shoved up into LF during build up.
On the contrary, a lot of Palmer's good work this season has come from him playing on the RW. He can very comfortably play there with Nkunku in the 10.
Terrible should've got RDZ
Few comments: Reece james has to play, the man is rhe captain lol arguably the best right back in the world when in form. Trev is GONE. The Tosin interest has all but confirmed that. U also left out enzo lol. After paying over 100million for him.....enzo is playing
Didn't leave out Enzo, I literally mentioned him alongside Gallagher and Carney. The midfield has multiple options and if I included them all the video would last hours.
CHELSEA PLEASE SIGN NEW MANAGER XABI ALONSO FROM LEVERKUSEN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE MUST URGENT !
Not happening 😭
I don't trust this guy
