This is that gothic cottagecore vibe I've been longing for
I’m glad I could be of assistance! 🥰🖤
YES
you are an absolute godsend for making this tutorial
🥰❤️
I’m so excited to try this and put moss rugs everywhere in my home 😍 thank you for sharing!
Of course!! They seriously make a home feel so much more comfy
this is one of the prettiest videos I've ever seen. I come back and watch it every week just to marvel at the rug!
This makes me so happy 🥹
I've been wanting to make a moss rug for some time but didn't want to figure out crocheting (a lot of people crocheted theirs, I was not about that life lmao). So glad you posted this tutorial! It has got me really excited to make my own :))
I hope this is helpful!! Let me know how it goes 😍
First video I've seen of yours and LOVE IT. Plus the dark theme and music choice made me feel like I was watching a movie or nature documentary :D
Thank you so much, I appreciate that! 🥹
Alexandria!! I have been a major fan of your work for what feels like years now and I'm so sorry I never realized you had a youtube channel!! Thank you so much for a tutorial on this rug that I honestly thought was impossible to make for some reason, now I know it's not!
No need to apologize!! I’ve been awful about posting here so I’m not surprised most people don’t know about it 😅
It’s so therapeutic to make, highly recommend trying it out!! 💞
This is absolutely amazing!!!!! Your work is beautiful. I’m curious what yarns and colors did you use? Or do you have a guide that lists the colors you used and where? I would love to make it exactly as you did!
"Keep wrapping and wrapping and wrapping until you die" 😆
It’s true 😩😂
Thank you for making this video! I just started making my own today 🙂. At first i wondered why you were wearing gloves, and then I almost tore my knuckles open from the backing 😆. Thank you for being your fabulous self.
Great video. Thank you so much, going to try this later!
Good luck!! I would love to see how it turns out 😍❤️
This should get way more attention! So beautiful filmed and explained! 🌱
Thank you so much! 🥹
ahh thank you so much for this video and for pointing me to it on insta! i've been coveting a moss rug for the longest time and to get to make one is even better! beautifully explained and styled video
Of course! Hopefully it helps. They are so fun to make ☺️
Thank you!
I just heard of moss rugs. Love your tutorial. I can’t wait to make one. As soon as I finish crocheting these blankets and cardigans I’m working on.
THANK YOU SO MUCH 💕💕
I'VE BEEN FINDING IT SO LONG
You’re so welcome!! ☺️🩷
@@alexandriabishop5548hey, can i add the russian subtitles for your video somehow? I'm russian and i think it will really help natives from my country :)
Oh, i also need to say that if you agree it will be easier for me if you add English subs or send me a text to translate. But i also can try it without text, it seems not so difficult). I just want to do this rug and to promote this helpful video...
Please tell me what do you think as i started transcribe your video... And it's quite difficult for me because I'm only learning English now😅
I'm OBSESSED!! This is exactly what I needed!!
I’m so glad! ☺️
been waitin for this one, thank u im so excited to try this!!
Good luck!! ☺️💞
Omg I love the moss rugs so much :00 Will definitely do one in the future
🥰❤️
So excited to try this out!!
Thank you for this super cute and helpful video!! I really want to try this out cause I’m planning on decorating my room with a lot of green😈😂 also just as a suggestion, the sponsor being the first thing in the video kinda threw me off! Haha maybe a quick intro to the channel would fix that! Otherwise awesome video☺️
Of course, I’m glad I could help! Green is such a great color.
Totally agree, I’m working on an intro! Thank you for the heads up ☺️💞
@@alexandriabishop5548 no need to thank me! I look forward to that awesome intro☺️
this is wonderfully explained. wondering though- how long did that little segment take you to make? i really want to make a big dreamy one for my new apartment but if it takes a grillion years i might aswell sprinkle dirt on the floor and hope for the best. also, youre awesome.
It took me SO LONG but it may just because I have carpal tunnel issues. 😅
thank you so much for this tutorial ^-^
Of course! I hope it’s helpful ☺️
It’s gorgeous and I wish to make one as well 🧚🏼♀️✨♥️ But my question is how do you clean it without destroying it? I’m allergic, afraid that after awhile it would kill me
If you seal the bottom with a glue, you can just use a vacuum hose to clean it and spray it with whatever you need to. :)
Super cute! Just wondering if you add a backing to the finished rug?
I haven’t yet but I bought a product to try out! Here’s the link: amzn.to/3z1aeYU
I don't want to use the word vibe, but I really like the vibe of your video.
Thank you so much!! ☺️
I’m going to make one for my tiny house. Thank you love for this detailed tutorial 🖤
I’d love to see!! I’m glad the tutorial is helpful ☺️🖤
Love it! Can i ask how much yarn you used?
Unfortunately I didn’t count how many I used. For this tutorial I used scraps from my last rug
where do you recommend getting yarn from and what thickness should I go for to make this rug?
I don’t have a preference! I just got about 6 different ones with different thickness levels
@@alexandriabishop5548 got thank you! This might be the debut of my knitting career
Can we use crochet hooks instead???
I’m not sure because I haven’t tried that but it seems like it may be more difficult because they don’t fully clasp around the yarn like this hook. You could try it out though!
Niceeee
❤️🥰
how big did the rug end up being and how much money did you spend on your supplies?
I’m not 100% on the amount I spent, probably around $50 in supplies. The size is about 3 feet by 2 feet.
What is the base called?
I realized I forgot to add that. 😅
A latch hook rug or a “rug making mat”
I wanna make one but all those poms i couldn't 😭
Could someone let me know what the backing material is? I have everything to start except the square mesh fabric
I think it’s called a latch hook base
I'm way late to this but it's a latch hook canvas, I got mine at Michael's but they also sell them online or sometimes at local arts and craft stores :)
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Is this washable? I want to make one of these so bad, but only if I can wash it. I would hate for it to fall apart in the washer after all that work 😢
@@vicmonty5556 definitely wouldn’t recommend putting it in a washing machine. Hand wash only for sure!
How much does this all cost??
Okay okay I just need to get materials now. But first... Graduation clothes.... And then then I will...
I can’t wait to see what you create! ☺️🖤
Have you done this? I'm thinking like you now because i want to do this so much but i have to end up my head from papie mache
What’s that white screen this called
A latch hook mat
aren't you that girl from that meme?
Yes.
What's meme?😱
Love this video but I can barely hear you, especially with the music so loud in the background. I’m trying so hard to hear what you’re saying that If I was trying to multitask (even doing housework) I probably couldn’t process the information you’re trying to get across. Just a lil bit of constructive criticism I’m sorry to have to say it just this was a really good video and could have just been that much better….
I do have a bit of hearing issues so it’s probably not thaaat bad… but I’ve been watching yt all day and this was the first video I had to turn all the way up to hear it…
I’m unfortunately unable to afford new audio equipment at this time and I’m still learning. Hopefully I can do my best to fix this issue in future videos. 😅
