Deciding between buying northern lights or gray ghost. I have fine hair. Looking for a good hold with volume but not to the point where My hair doesn’t look natural and can’t run my fingers through my hair
Great review. I like the way you do pro's and cons and who the product would be best for. I have this product for use in my curly hair. I find if I use a tonic (like Reuzel) as a pre-styler, then this product, with just a small scoop is perfect. If I use too much by the end of the day my hair feels like a candle was melted on my head.
Great review bud, this is what I was looking for. Worked much better for me than the crystal lake. True there’s a certain slickness to it, especially after it settles and next day. Applies like 2 of my other faves o’douds n arcadian matte pastes. For my style they work similar enough for consistent result however if other products get dry I use a pinch of this as topper..ie old recipe o’douds matte paste or suavecito premium blend matte paste..so far👍
I got the latest CL now. Zach really downgraded huge. Now CL feels like a generic old spice pomade. When CL was stiffer and ball out into shape, that formula was its trademark.
ha...ok, fair enough. Your hair is shorter than usual. You always look awesome, but now your hair is too short to slick back on the sides. @@TheWorkmansPomp
Oh yeah, I got a shorter cut when I moved because I didn’t know if I’d find a new barber! I found one and my sides are a tad longer. I’m posting a Firsthand Supply review this weekend and you’ll see
Oh I didn’t think you were, most people like it longer. For me it’s too much to upkeep so I usually get a big cut and then let it grow out a lot. I moved to Ohio

I’d say northern lights

You looked pissed in the beginning, I think I’m gonna give this one a try
This or O’Douds matte paste? For thick medium length(longer than yours) wavy hair
I liked this better personally
NL has weak hold for thick med hair
Not relevant to this, but do you moisturize (regular face cream) or you just use beard oil?
I use beard oil but I’ve been using the beard jelly lately as well as using a boar hair brush. Feels good and keeps my face feeling nice!
Any favourite matte finished products you would recommend?
So far Firsthand Clay pomade!
Hi. What kind of haircut do you have in this vid?
Long on top, tapered longer on the sides
@@TheWorkmansPomp so it's not an undercut? Cheers
Nope
Great solid review as always
That's a Pro tip indeed very useful
Will def use the water tip!
The scent on northern lights smells almost exactly like Angostura Orange Bitters to me
I'm happy zach bringing the waxy side on CL. This one sounds alright, but not for me.

Man, that bums me out. I guess I got an older formula one.
If only my hair were like u 🥲
Good product but the hold is meh.
Looks like you got a major haircut, Brandon....
I got several hairs cut har har har

Thank you. Well, I was not criticizing, though I do like it long. Where did you move? @@TheWorkmansPomp
