I tried that button in the thumbnail, Instagram just lies to you by pretending that 'archieved' is short for 'archieved stories'. They do not show posts.

Brothers i solved the problem u dont get to find the archive post option right? U will only see the stories archive tap on it then you will find the posts arcive option. Ur Welcome

Nice! I clicked on Archive by mistake when I was trying to look at some insights. Looks like they keep changing the settings on IG so much...so I was just clicking on random things...and that happened. SMH! 🤦‍♂️
Btw, I'm still waiting for the post to show up. Thought it shows up immediately, but it didn't. So idk. 🤔

Try checking the ‘Archived’ section again by going to your profile, tapping the three lines in the top right, and selecting ‘Archive.’ Make sure you’re in the correct section (Posts or Stories) for the type of content you archived. Also try to reinstall your Instagram app.

Hi Jane! If your pictures have been removed and not just archived, it might be worth checking if they were deleted by mistake. You can try checking Instagram's ‘Recently Deleted’ section if they are still recoverable. If they’re not there, they might not be recoverable through Instagram’s tools.
