This is the best video on multiple hooping that I have watched, I have learned so much from my first time watching that it almost bring me to tears because I have quilt designs that came with my machine and have been trying to use them but ran into alignment problems. You are a great teacher, thank you for being so detail and precise for people like me that needed this.
The music is just as lovely as your work, I didn't find it distracting at all infact, the musics not playing at all while the instructions are being explained. Great job!!! Best embroidery video explaining hoop placement. Thank you.
I had purchased a trapunto design from someone else and it had a 5x7 split design to it and not very clear instructions, ( actually they were awful!) I even reached out to the designer and they weren't any help at all, I was almost in tears and ready to give up when I came across this video, I can not tell you how helpful this was for me, I am now excited to go back and give it another try. I really enjoy working with my embroidery machine and sewing machine, but even though I have been doing this for quite sometime I still need help and instruction, as I have gotten older my poor brain just stops working. Thank you for this!!!
This is the best tutorial that I have seen on multiple hooping. You make it look super easy. You've even showed us how to fix it when the alignment is slightly off. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Thanks for this very informatie tutorial. I have been following your career in ebm for many years and have yet to stitch out one of these beautiful designs. Today as I was watching how to make a window in the stabilizer, this video came up as recommended. I can't tell you how much I have learned by watching your explanation of multi hoopings. I have been doing emb for 13 years and I had used only designs that fit my small hoops. The main reason I purchased my lager hoop machine was so I could do anything. However, I was intimidated by the process, TY again, as I feel confident that I can do one of the designs that has been on my to do for 5 yrs, a clock face, now.
What a fantastic tutorial! Very detailed and showed great attention to explain everything. Learned a lot and I'm sure will be watching a few more times so I can get it right! Thank you so very much!!
I loved the video. Very clear instructions. The background music distracted me at first, but as I got involved with watching the video I did not notice it that much. Maybe next video have it a little softer. Actually you really don't need it. Excellent job.
Daleen thank you for a wonderful tutorial. Easy to watch and to follow. I've picked up a few tips along the way too. Can I say congrats on a job well done!! Hope there are many more to come.
This is just an excellent tutorial. I learned so much. You are a wonderful teacher. So succinct. Thank you for all the work you put into this video and for sharing your knowledge.
Ms Daleen, I absolutely love your tutorial. You are so thorough, easy to follow and understand. I wish I had come across it earlier. Thank you so much for sharing and giving your wonderful knowledge and blessed talent.
Thankyou Daleen! This was a fantastic video to watch! Clear & precise instructions with the background music not too loud. I look forward to watching this again as a guide for when I am stitching the design into the cushion project. Many thanks again! Regards Fay - Australia
I really enjoyed watching you do this pillow, I am now ready to start mine. I have all the supplies but didn't know how to begin the process. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much, I have watched so many times. I have a larger hoop, but don't know how to split the designs. I am just going to use my square hoop that is 8x8. I do love all of your designs.
thank you for the informative video. It is so helpful. It would help me to hear your instructions better if there wasn't any background music. Just a suggestion. I appreciate your great designs so much.
Wow! This is the best tutorial I’ve seen! I adore your designs and will be trying one of these. I love scuba fabric too, such a great fabric to work with. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. Xx
Soos altyd Daleen, is hierdie pragtige werk. Baie dankie vir goeie tutorial, dis baie volledig en goed gedoen.Weereens baie dankie vir jou talent wat jy met ons deel
Pam, check with your local fabric store. Scuba is just one of many names for this fabric, but if you ask for a 4-way stretch poly-cotton you should get something very similar. The 4-way stretch is the magic that creates the stunning puff you see. :)
Your tutorial is beautifully done and easy to understand. You have shown me a few things I have not tried before, so I shall give it a try. Love the method of multiple hooping you do. I've never seen the clear templates before. Where would you suggest looking for them?
What a wonderful video! I have done multiple hooping many years ago, but this made it fresh in my memory! Can’t wait to do it! Where can I find the design? Thank you for all the effort to make this video. 👍
Thank you Pattie , there are two sets, Raffi 1 and Raffi two at www.stitchdelight.net/search.asp?pg=1&stext=raffi&sprice=&stype=&scat=&sfil0= just click on each image to see all designs included with each set.
Ho ho, no problem, silly me, forget that last comment. I’ve just learnt how to turn on subtitles so can now watch mute without being distracted by that awful music. So brilliant video, thanks.
Loved the video and its very informative, I feel more confident in trying this. But could you tell me what weight the batting is please as I purchased some today but I think it was the wrong one.
Daleen....would you mind sharing what machine you have that takes that big 9.5 X 14 size hoop. Thank you so much for this wonderful informative tutorial. I have always been afraid to try multihooping but now I feel I have better knowledge in trying it.
what are you marking your fabric with and will the 505 glue mess with the internal parts of your machine. I do not have the big hoop on my 165E Bernina. Thanks for sharing, Very informative and I will get brave and try something different. I have all these designs in my Quilter Program should be able to just send it over to my machine?
Thank you .I learned a lot and this is very helpful .Do this work with a quilt also only there would be fabric in the back.Maybe you could do a small quilt one day to demonstrate how it is done . Thank you
Wow I am such a happy person...this has solved a lot of queries I had. So I am going to get into doing the Tudor Rose Quilt. One question...do you work with very little pressure on your foot? As I noticed it in the tutorial
do you mean on the embroidery machine ? My brother has a small plastic cover plate over the footplate, I remove that plastic plate when I work with bulky fabric or added batting to leave more room under the pressure foot yes.
Is there a way to do the embroidery design before the quilting for QAYG blocks. I would like to do a quilt that way as I find it easier for me with my bad back. Could you do some that way please.
I have a question about the new owl designs, I have a number of your collections but have not been brave enough to stitch them out. I know shame on me. My problem is I don't know which size I need to use. I have a Janome 11000 upgrade which allows you to use the macro hoop 7 7/8 x 11" going down to the 4x4 hoop. Can you help?
I am just starting my first pillow. How do I know what designs in the set I need to complete a pillow the same size in your tutorial. I have a 6" X 10" hoop. Also I found lots of lightweight quilters batting. Can you recommend a brand or store to purchase from and or the weight. I am in US. Thanks the video really encouraged me to try this.
I think she uses the 9 x 14 hoop. Unfortunately, the largest hoop my machine works with is the 6 x 10. I tried doing the 4 x 8 split hooping to do four stitch outs, which would create an overall 16 x 16 pillow, but I could NOT get the design to align for the second hooping. I've finally given up and will try with cotton and see if it works, hoping the stretch of the scuba fabric is the issue because I absolutely love these pillows! I know you asked this question 3 years ago and Daleen doesn't respond to all comments/questions, which is frustrating. Were you able to figure it out over the past three years?
@@kristinaslattery9382 Hi Yes I did. I used 6X10 hoop and chose the 6X10 size file. I only needed to match down the middle. I used the scuba so if I needed to I could pull a little here and there. I started and stopped the needle quite a few times to make sure it lined up. Also I watched the video a hundred times. Good luck
@@yorkielover714 Thanks! So using the 10" split? That gave you a 10" pillow though, right? I was hoping to do a 16 x 16. I was so spitting mad last night I had to walk away! LOL I cannot, for the life of me, get the design to line up for the second half stitch out.
@@kristinaslattery9382 I gave it as a gift so i can't measure it. I know I added some fabric to make it bigger. I also did the ruffle as she show's in the video. I cannot tell you how much fabric i wasted. I think when I took the time to have the needle move around the whole design being stitched (whichever half) I could tell if I was spot on. Using a stretchy fabric like scuba allowed for some pulling and pinning and pinning and pinning to keep it from moving. Also I made my own pillow form because it was not a regular size that was easy to purchase. I have also had to leave the machine when I kept making mistakes.
What a fabulous video so informative and well presented. Thank you
I love that you show you smaller hoop sizes not everyone has a huge hoop size this is great!
This is the best video on multiple hooping that I have watched, I have learned so much from my first time watching that it almost bring me to tears because I have quilt designs that came with my machine and have been trying to use them but ran into alignment problems. aa I am so glad you found Scuba fabric, you will fall in love with it, it truly looks amazing on these projects
This is one of the best tutorials I have seen. I am a beginner and so appreciate the time you have taken to show all the steps!
Thank you so much - so glad you enjoy it.
I've been machine embroidering for 18 years but I learned so much with this tutorial! Thx u!
The music is just as lovely as your work, I didn't find it distracting at all infact, the musics not playing at all while the instructions are being explained. Great job!!! Best embroidery video explaining hoop placement. Thank you.
This is the best tutorial I have found, I have learnt so much. Wish I found it sooner. Thanks so much. Look forward to watching more. 💕💞
So glad you found it useful Ina :)
