Not been to your channel for ages, Nick, mainly because my eyesigh has been failing with Gloucoma and cataracts but as of Monday 22nd April I've had gloucoma eye surgery which has reversed the condition and the cataract removed in my eight eye so my sight has been restored. Just the left-eye to do now but that left eye is not as bad, a stent will be added and the cataract removed and I'll have 100% vision restored. Great to see Your work again after a while, Bramley Moore Dock Stadium looks amazing. Great work as usual, Nick. Cheers.. Thanks for all your hard work filming the Stadium..
It brilliant what a stadium this is going to be when it's completed.
Great Video Again Nick.
1. East Stand - the scaffold is down fully, and 2 x brickwork panels have been added.
2. West Steps - great progress and slabs being laid at South end.
3. The 3rd corner of the barrel cladding is around 50% complete now.
4. The PVC on the West Roof has started to be added (25% done).
5. The South roof top layer is 50% done now. The West roof is 90% done now.
6. The blue green slabs in the fan plaza are making great progress.
7. The trees look Great, especially the tall, thin ones at the side of the hydraulic tower.
Just the one point for Everton I'm afraid, Nick, but maximum points to you for another well-edited and thorough tour of the works in progress. Thank you.
Interesting to see those two bridges on the west stand emerging which will border the water once its all dug out. It just looks amazing. thanks again mate.
I love that they’re going to refill the water channel outside the West Stand, next to the steps, once everything is finished on that side. That’s going to be class. They could have left it filled it & used as parking or additional space so good on them for creating what will be yet another magnificent feature.

Points of note: (Joke: I'm surprised no one has yet asked if it's a Leitch design on the building in the left foreground at 1:06 mins!)
1) They've taken down a fair amount of the shuttering and removed the temporary concrete blocks that were just inside the shuttering on the pavement, which acted as crash barriers for the cut-throughs and Tower Gates.
2) The NE Service Tower dismantling looks to be complete.
3) At 1:58 mins (and again at 8:13 mins) you can see that they've dug out a pit for the next section of the ArborSystem, for the continued line of Columnar Elms along the northern perimeter (There should be 13 trees in that line in the end).
4) At 3:54 mins, I think they have 5 glass panels left to fit on the South Stand.
5) At 7:33 mins, you can see that they're progressing with the laying of the planned Granite Setts on the southern end of the mezzanine.
6) At 8:34 - 8:50 mins, you can see how far they've progressed with fitting the dark-grey paneling between the concrete roof and the back of the terracing.
7) At 8.54 mins you can see that they've started fitting the grey 'coving' to the top of the North Window.
8) At 10:11 mins you can see that they've started paying the Polycarbonate panels on the West Stand, from the northern end.
9) At 10:38 mins it looks as though they have all the lengths of the Standing-seam roof for the southern end of the West Stand roof milled out and stacked there, even if they haven't yet clipped them into place.
10) Likewise at 11:11 mins it looks as though they have milled out and stacked the lengths of Standing-seam roof for the southern end of the East Stand.
11) At 12:42 mins it looks as though they've started the installation of fittings for the rail seating in the South Stand Lower Tier.
Not 1:06 mins but in fact 57 secs
But no I didn't notice

Well done weekly recap! Watching these videos and Everton games this year, especially towards end of season, is turning me from Chelsea to an Everton fan. BTW and just a thought, one very important reason for barrel cladding going up only where it is to date may be worker safety. Note areas below where no barrel cladding is attached are active work areas. Thanks for great videos, look forward to next week!
Barrel cladding can only be installed where the roof is finished (or nearly finished, in the case of the south east cladding). Requires the full weight of the roof.
rbro: it's mostly to do with the finished weight-additions to each of the 3 West and 3 East sectors of the 3x3 matrix construct of the whole stadium actually. If you want to understand that a little more, may I suggest you take a look at Nick's previous video and read the fuller explanation in the comments?
Great video Nick, could you have a closer look at the north and south glass for me? I think the 3 missing pieces on the north are now in and I think there might be about 4 pieces left on the south? Be great to tick that milestone off as it’s completed :)

Hi Nick great vid again mate, have they taken down some of the hoarding around the new gates at the front of the fans plaza, and are the 2 gaps 1 at either end of the west terrace for natural light underneath because they took the skylight's away. Brilliant work again nick keep going.COYB
I think they’ll fill those gaps on the west plaza terrace with bespoke pieces because the final plans don’t have ‘windows’ either side. We’ll have to wait and see.
Skylights were never planned for the plaza roof over the ‘tunnel’ - the approved plans show large stone blocks for fans to sit and admire the view. The tunnel will have plenty of artificial lighting.

At 8:52 on the north stand top flyby towards the NE corner you can see where the finished panels on the underside of the roof have bee started to be installed.

I was the same bud. Asked the question months ago if he'd still be doing as many videos once we couldn't see much inside but like you glad to see there is plenty to see and plenty more to come. Hi Nick, Greetings from a very rainy Georgia ( I think there's a song about that ). This is Another excellent video the ground is coming along at a great pace now. My TV box went down last night so I did not see the game, I will have to catch up on UA-cam, I have no idea how I'm going to get it repaired as I'm in the Caucus Mountains where you have a large fan base as I show your video's to all my Georgian friends. Keep up the great work you and the other droners keep me in touch with the city.

The final plans don’t have any windows there but an amendment may have been made. We’ll have to wait and see. Personally, I think they’ll fill these gaps in with concrete or bricks.
There will be plenty of artificial lighting inside the tunnel.
Still no seats on the lower part of the south stand ....something different, maybe great video again Nick

Majority of fans will enter the west stand via turnstiles in the tunnel under the west plaza terrace. You can then take a lift, so you don’t have to walk up all those steps if you don’t want to

Personally, I was a bit dubious about lifts, as I'm used to so such equipment and workmanship like that not being up to scratch these days, so I wasn't confident the decision to use lifts would be risked, so I will be pleased if that's the case. They'll take a hell of a pounding fan-use wise, though.

Hi Nick. Thanks for all your hard work with these great videos for us all. I’ve noticed that the fan’s plaza, when finished in some of the photos, looks like it has water running right next to the tiered steps? Is the water going to be that close, or have the designs changed somewhat as it looks like there isn’t any water, until the Mersey. Thanks. Ted
The water channel will be excavated soon, just next to the Western Plaza, connecting Sandon Dock to Nelson Dock. It’s a requirement of the planning permission (Historic England and Environment Agency condition) 👍🏻

I assume the stair access to the roof will be permanent… can you (or anyone) confirm or deny? Will there be two permanent hatches at the two current access stair locations?

Nice video again, Nick. I have a question about how the finished look will be on the south stand below the large upper glass and just above the smaller lower glass. It is currently just an open space under the seating area but what will it look like in the end? Same thing for the north stand but it is a smaller open space. Will they fill them in with more glass?
This area will be covered with black sealant. It won’t be accessible to the fans 👍🏻
@@DuncTheBlue1878 Thanks Dunc. So it will remain open (the way it now looks) but covered with a sealant. Seems like a lot of wasted space to me. I mean it will look nice enough I suppose, but still a lot of wasted space.
@@06skippy06 Yes, pretty much how it looks now but with black sealant to be added. If they were to use the south stand ‘empty space,’ they’d have to level off the concrete floor (currently a slope), add stairs and lifts, which would then reduce the available space in the concourse below. There’s plenty of space for the fans with the current plans, far more than at Goodison.

Great video any idea when it will be finished this year and is anyone worried about who will own it seeing the money problems the club has?
It's due to be handed over near the end of this year, then there will be training events, and hoops to jump through re safety certificates.
It will host Everton after the next Premier League year (1 more season at Goodison).
Personally, I'm hoping we don't get made Tenants of the new stadium, ideally we get a Wealthy owner who can buy out Moshiri and Co, and get us back where we belong, fighting at the top of the table.

Lee: it's supposed to be finished in December this year but as EFC don't intend to start using for Football until the start of the 2025-2026 season, I don't imagine Decemeber is as urgent as some might think.
The real value for buying EFC is this stadium. For EFC to thrive in the future, which one must credit Farhad Moshiri for understanding and acting upon it, with unfortunate global crises timing, the club simply MUST retian ownership. Whether that happens, who knows? It all depends whether any other interested parties beyond 777 are asset strippers and waiting like vultures or into building a long-term business.
It looks fantastic. It would be nice if Everton put two large badges of the North and South roofs so that they could be seen from the air. Or would that look a bit tacky? Thanks as always, a great video.

Everton have a 200 year lease on the full site including the hydraulic tower.
Rumour was that it could be an Everton Museum, but nothing confirmed yet.
Mr Jevman: there are no more details other than it's probably going to be a museum and cafe.
Great work as always. With alot of the main structure complete what are your thoughts on the design of the stadium. The only part I'm not keen on is the exposed terracing on the north and south stands where the glass ends.
Dan Meis has done a Fantastic job, in my opinion, there's nothing I don't like about it.😁
I grew up next to Goodison, played footy up against it's gates, had me street lit up by it, watched the main stand get built, so I Love it. I Love Everything about EFC, but at 63 I can't wait for a better watching and sitting experience after all the false dawns.💙

Forgive me if this has been covered before, i haven't seen it mentioned. Where is the press box located. Is it the back of the West Stand.
The TV and press will be in the middle of the West Stand, there's 2 levels there, TV + VIP
Press and commentators will be at the very top of the west stand
Stephen: it has been mentioned before. The press box, comprising the main TV camera plinth as one of the 7 camera plinths around the ground but also 17 'desks' will be located on the middle, lowest wide terrace structure at the bottom of the Upper Tier of the West Stand. The TV Studio is behind the glass at the NW Corner above the Pitch Access Tunnel and also at the bottom of the upper tier.

@@DuncTheBlue1878 Dunc: good day to you. Thanks for highlighting the typo of NE for what should have been NW. It was a genuine typo. No doubt you realised it was a typo due to the references to the TV Studio and the Access Tunnel. I know I have an occasional tendency for typos and although at times a single character can be significant and critical, such as NE/NW, bearing in mind how many posts and comments made, I hope that my errors tend to be minimal and non-critical. Clearly I still have room for improvement. I have made the typo correction in my original statement.
If you take a look at Stephen's original question he asked about the Press BOX, which in a sense does not exist and is a collective term, which is why I broadened the response to cover many potential angles of his open question. However, I am curious as to what document or plan diagram you are using that suggests that there is anything other than standard fans seating at the top back of the West Stand. Would you please provide me with a means to see such evidence?
They might try, but at 37 he knows not to take the really big job and get washed up like Lampard Gerrard and Rooney and be finished at 40
Kiaran will stay here awhile yet, he’s miles off his prime yet and it’s really only 4-5 jobs in the UK that would be a sufficient step up to make that risk worthwhile. Old head on young shoulders so let’s see what we can do next year, he’s taken us up this season with largely a league one side so give him a few quid……

Inside is impressive and looks like it will create a great atmosphere with the stands looking like they dominate over the pitch. The outside though, looks bizarre and a weird shape.

I think the rail seating frames are being installed on the South Stand. The most annoying thing in the world is the discolouration of the roof on the West Stand, how poor is that considering the aesthetic look it gives a brand new stadium. Also why has there been no lettering installed in the blue season with Everton across it? This was even on the design perception images? Small things but seriously big things to us as fans.
Fear not, the roof will all be the same colour due to oxidation over the next few weeks and months, apparently.
The initial concept plans had ‘Everton’ and ‘1878’ in white seats, but the final approved plans from 2020 have every seat blue. Personally, I prefer all seats blue.

I've s feeling bailiffs will be there before any players or fans.
They are only slightly down wind from the Sandon Dock sewage treatment plant which causes what is known in Bootle as the "Sandon Stink". Another bad omen is that Everton's late chairman Bill Kenwright was fated never to see the new stadium and the clubs recent
troubles probably broke his heart. In the long term global warming could flood the vicinity of the club But that worry is for junior Toffees.
