Cage Culture: Raising Fish in Ponds

Farmers interested in growing fish commercially can choose whether to raise fish in open ponds, in recirculating tanks, or in cages and net pens. Just a heads up from a Maryland tech who does a lot of work under water. White nylon zip ties are good for about four months under water. You need to use black poly so they don't break down over time. Hope things went well this video is three years old.

2020: Please don't use Styrofoam blocks to float river cages. That equals just pouring small plastic bits into a river. Use a solid flotation device of some kind.

i'd rather used natural organic feeding for their first 2 months,for example like putiing chicken manure 2 weeks bef.putting fingerlings in the pond and of course i have to culture azolla as their food and also a little bit of organic feeds assuming azolla isnt enough as their food....if i follow this instruction giving feeds i think its hard to gain profit....
