    I heard Tumeric is best when eating in combination with black pepper.
    they need a follow up to this study where they take combinations of spices to see if there is symbiotic effects and which combinations provide the best synergy.

      Haz Adiguzel Since more people understand "best when eating in combination" compared to "synergistic" the former wins over the latter, IMO.

      Curry is generally a bad source of turmeric. Get the whole spice or the pure, organic turmeric powder and ingest it with black pepper and a small amount of healthy fat to ensure your getting what your paying for (its anti-inflammatory properties).

    To raise the antioxidant load of daily consumption i have bought a capsule filler tool and use it to put spices in the capsules and take a couple with the meal. I prefer the plant based capsules made of cellulose instead of the ones made out of animal parts. But are these capsules safe for consumption? Since they are an industrial product and are usually sold in bulk with no ingredient labels.

      candy pinky Google India + Cancer + Curry / Turmeric, and a lot of links will show up, medical too.
      However, those advantages are lost when people change their lifestyle to "western style". There is also a high number of cervical cancers, which is induced by virus infection, sexually transmitted, and much breast cancers among city population, who have abandoned traditional foods and lifestyles.

      candy pinky I'm Indian👳 (from the southern region, state called Kerala where Ayurvedic medicine is derived). Growing up, I've never heard of anyone we knew of having cancer either here in the states or back in India. Many years ago, it was unheard of.. however today many Indians do shop convenience & consume sweets, order Chinese & 🍕. My great grandparents died of old age, however that is not common anymore in the western world. The diet among Indians is changing and I now do hear cases of cancer occurring, this is concern for me.

      It should help but this condition has been found to be viral in nature. Again, certain spices can be used to alleviate latent viruses from childhood in the body. Just because labs haven't discovered a name for it yet doesn't mean it doesn't exist. We are finding new bugs everyday with better tests and studies. It all takes time. In the interim, avoid all eggs and dairy. It helps. Peace

  • @fortyfour6626
    @fortyfour6626 6 років тому +1

    look at the rates of inflammatory diseases in countries that use Tumeric heavy in their traditional cuisine. You will find correlation. You will also find lower obesity rates...that may or may not be related but I personally think it is. The chain of events that tumeric sets off on a cellular level has benefits that simply start with a reduction in inflammatory markers. cool thing about all this is you dont need alot to gain the benefits. I hate Tumeric but if you add just a dash to chili or any savory foods, you dont taste it anyway....just makes your dish orange. Tumeric is an ancient medicinal spice that westerners are just finally starting to warm up to.

    HELP!, if the inflammatory response is for having crap in the blood is not good to having it? I suppose it does harm if it is chronic and in that case a little rest will be good, but what if you don't eat crap? then eating turmeric is bad? and if you have a inflammatory response, would be better to go in and out of eating turmeric instead of eating it continuously? so you clean the crap and also rest of the inflammatory response?

    Natural TNF blockers do not necessarily have a better side effect profile, they are probably just less potent so the side effects are not as noticeable.

      Yes, it IS ceylon cinnamon...you can find a nice 1 pound bag of it at Amazon for about $20....otherwise, it's about $6 for a small bottle of it at Whole Foods. I use about 1 Tablespoon each day along with about 1/3 teaspoon ground cloves which are way high in antioxidants...another good Greger video is "Antioxidants in a Pinch" in case anyone is interested.

      I know for a fact after taking turmeric pills for years that it is effective in keeping my blood thin and slick helping me to avoid heart attack and stroke. You must be extremely careful with turmeric if you are taking prescription blood thinners. You may bruise more easily with mega doses of turmeric which is the indication of thinned blood. ❤

    Curcumin or tumeric is a very drying medicine and not suitable for people with sjogren's syndrome with dry mouth and dry eyes. Curcumin is so drying that it can cause constipation in some people. Normal ginger is a better choice in such situation.

    • @rowanscmorien4761

      +1too3fore They do. Some spices can cause harmful side effects. The quality and other medical conditions can affect this, which is especially relevant if in treating a disease a very high dose is needed (unlike the amounts eaten in ordinary foods).
      Watch this youtuber's video on who shouldn't use turmeric for starters. I love turmeric, but in prolonged medium/high doses it can cause issues with the stomach. It can increase stomach acid and reflux disorders. Pepper can cause gastrointestinal distress in some individuals, though quantity is relevant. Many herbs and spices cause skin irritation. Some people get diarrhoea or a rash around their anus from eating spices because of this. Babies can get nappy rash and pain passing feces if their breastfeeding parent consumes spicy foods (sometimes even in small amounts).
