This is wonderful! Michael J. Murphy was my mother's uncle. I had the pleasure of meeting him for the first time in 1989. My grandfather always said that Michael had the gift of telling the tale. He was a delightful man.
thank you for uploading this gem of south armagh. my maternal great grandfather came from Mullaghbann. Peter Mac Parland a horseman. married Rose Treanor (of glenn, north of newry) in newry cathedral. Peter is buried with the Treanor's in newry " An Lur ".
Beautiful story. Really enjoyed it. Pure history without ghastly poltics of the last 50 years. As an English amateur actor akin to Pete Postlethwaite I like to vary Northern Irish accents when potraying them. This rural sound is much gentler than Belfast.
How many editions of' Ulster in Focus' still survive ? I would be interested in viewing the 70's edition that featured Belfast's 'Giant's Ring' as I and several of my school friends appeared in it .

It was truly awesome meeting up with him and Alice back in 1989. I wish I had more time with him back then.
This is just wonderful. So important for future generations. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoyable watch 👌🇮🇪

Marvellous, reminds me of my Uncle John and Dobbin, Hannahstown's last working horse!

Why is it when you see an Irish name you just see trouble and hassles .
Bruce Burns because you are xenophobic and enjoy stereotyping ?
Maybe you have a good reason to see ( troubles and hassles ) when you see a Irish name !
thats what you see, what a silly comment, get a life.
