You cleared the code! Of course, there is no code run a readiness check lmfao!
You have to drive for a little before you know if the light is gonna stay off for sure....I clear codes all the time but the light comes back on after so far thru a drive cycle....
Erasing the code with the OBD tool would clear the service light. So you really don't know if its fixed at that point and time.
if is not fix the light will come back on
Right on this guy is telling watchers that this is a fix and is not if you don't know the difference take your ride to a shop.
It would pop back up if it isn't fixed
But if it comes back on or not then you will know
You have to drive it some to know for sure if the light will stay off, I clear codes all the time but you have to drive so far thru a drive cycle to know for sure if it's fixed....
Guys this is replaceable under 15 years warranty in some states like CA, I got mine replaced parts and labor free!

After resetting check engine light there is a drive cycle for the ECM essentially you won’t know until it cycles.

Actually 10 to 15 miles unless it was completely disconnected then it would come on in a few seconds

Prying on connectors like that is not a good idea not only that but spraying that cleaner into the intake while its running can screw up the mass airflow sensor. The mass airflow sensor is a hot wire sensor when you spray liquid onto a hot wire sensor it fries the sensor and the resistor in it.

PO122 code on my '98 accord. Was performing fine prior to my smog check on 6/18/22. SMOG place was having problems with their machine but my car did pass smog. Haven't driven my car again till 6/29, when code came on. When smoging, do they move the tps sensor??? Don't really have money to repair, so looking at what could have caused this code to pop up.
I just failed a smog test and had two fault codes pop up:
P0122 - Throttle/Pedal position sensor/switch "A" circuit low
P1504 - Idle Air Control (IAC) circuit malfunction
Is this a major problem?
Will it cost me a ton?
I recently had my spark plugs and air cleaner replaced as well as the Mass air flow sensor serviced. Could there be a correlation?
Thanks for posting this. Would the TPS code affect the shifting of the trans? It currently won’t shift past 2nd gear most of the time. It has the codes for the TPS and air temp sensor.
It can definitely cause it.
It can be transmission speed sensora input/output

I get an intermittent P0122 and P0222 Code. Engine light and EPC come on with “Engine fault: workshop!” I use regular gas even though I’m supposed to use 91 or above, although I didn’t see any improvement in gas mileage around town. On a highway yes. When the lights are on, the car runs bad almost like a misfire and the two electric fans come on full speed. Shutting off the engine will make the fans still run for about 2 minutes, then come off. But restarting leaves (the engine light on, and a flashing tire light that will go off once I drive it a bit. Driving the car goes 15 mph 1st gear, 25 mph 2nd gear, add 10 every gear up to 4th and it’s stuck at 45 MPH, with 5th and 6th behaving the same as 4th.
Should I clean the throttle body or is it time to replace it? The throttle body is in the front by the hood latch by the fans and is a drive by wire. Once this is all done, I can get the car to speed upwards of 80 on the highway no issue - gotta love the 2.0TSI engine. It happened twice. Just don’t want to drop another $1k into this VW If I don’t need to.
I should mention the intake manifold was replaced due to P2004 runner bank 1, car drove normally but had this engine light on that would come on and off at least 10 times during a 30 minute commute. Intake manifold was replaced and Saab and Volkswagen decarbonised the engine to get rid of the gunk in there for 70k mls.I did. other services afterwards like changing the rear differential oil, brake fluid flush, and coolant flush because the local place I took it to clearly didn’t know what he was doing and it was a dark purple brown when it should be pink. I have 73k about, is it worth it replacing the throttle body and throwing in a new air filter or new air filter and have them clean it?
Had the same issue with our 2009 Passat 2.0T sedan that had a bad throttle body. We would get limp mode that wouldn’t let you go beyond 15 mph and the same lights except no tire flashing light just a cruise control symbol with an exclamation mark.
How did you fix this problem?
All you did was delete the code that might work but you would have to do a drive cycle after anywhere from 40-100 miles if the light stays off ur good or if it turns of if you don’t delete it ur good
I'm getting the same code on a 2013 Volkswagen Passat SE. Will this fix my issue?

Anyone know where the TPS is on a 2007 Mercedes CLK? Is it in the gas pedal in the interior?
I am getting a p0068, p0122, p0223 on a 2007 Saturn Vue any ideas?
you can see the rpms still sitting at 1000 at the end of the video in park, therefore the issue was not fixed.
The engine is still cold lol
Thomas my 2001 tracker shifter wont shift all the time clearly so I've been using the emergency release under the panel. I want to fix it but cant find the video for a tracker. Could you please help me.

what do you mean clearly. if it is grinding a l;little then check the clutch reservoir, its on the firewall near the driver. if it is low, then you will grind a little trying to shift. it takes dot 3 brake fluid just like your brake master cylinder. its called clutch ,master cylinder.
It stays in park until I hit the lever under shifter to get it into gear

No it isn't a quick fix. You just erased the symptom...IE - turned the light off. If the sensor is no good the light will just come back on. You could have just as easily showed just the erasing the code part and made the same claim. Shame on you for trying to look like a hero by using sleight of hand to fool the ignorant...Also, vacuum leaks and EGR valves have nothing at all to do with this code. The code is exactly informing you that the problem is an electrical continuity problem, nothing to do with cleaning the throttle body or other illusions....Maybe....tightening the connections would do the trick "if" they were loose, which they almost never are, but most likely the TPS must be replaced because they are usually electrically worn out by the time this code is presenting...
