it's just constant coping and seething from me, brother. I literally have to stop myself from looking to the runes because they just lose them over and over again without using them lol
if it was any other game, it wouldn't be that bad. this is the one game where you wanna level and upgrade every chance you get at least on your first run to make it the most fun. that's also the best way to play for more casual players, which Rory is, and there's nothing wrong with that. there's a difference between being a lil overleveled by happenstance and intentionally farming/grinding to be overpowered. plus being a bit overleveled doesn't even make much of a difference if you don't even really have an optimal build and you're spreading your levels as evenly as they are. i don't understand why they don't check what levels/ upgrades they can do with the runes they have at the beginning of each recording session. it would cut the amount of struggling by half, and i'm not saying watching rory struggle a bit isn't fun, but it's too much and just getting old atp. sorry for the rant. still love the boys and the series. but yeah tldr; i agree fully.

I'm only in the start of the ep, but I really recommend to turn on the "New Items" setting so everything new you guys pick up has an exclamation point cause sometimes you pick something up and don't read it so this will let you know later that you haven't looked at it. The "recent items" tab is super useful too.

The most maddening thing about the boss fight is that nobody realized the Dagger Skill was doing more damage per hit than all the buffed fire or lightning 😂
Yeah, they paid so much attention to the damage of all the weapons and spells they used to try to optimize the best thing to take down the fallingstar beast, but not one of them mentioned how insanely better the 1000+ damage of the Black Knife ash of war was compared to anything else (especially for a measely 25 FP cost) 😂, but that's why we love 'em. At least Rory ended up using it quite a few times on the winning attempt, and the damage of the ash of war scales exclusively with faith, so it's good for their ""Build"".
They 'put the horse before the cart' quite often in pursuit of min-max'ing in this series. It is what it is 🤷♂️ The one that gets me is the immunity stuff when they try to spec for Rot resist. They put on the multi-resist talisman because it says 'greatly'. But if you compare the numbers with one that just does Rot resist, it's higher resist (because its dedicated to a single resist type instead of spreading the stat around)

Btw, something that might help with the shields debate. The parry shield had 100 percent damage block but the one you decided to use hoarfrost on is only 77, so you lose health even when blocking. if you put “no skill” on a 100% shield youll lose way less health. If not, you may end up missing the Ryan Gosling
Maybe unintentional on From Soft's end but Gurranq reminds me of a tradition from rural Wales known as 'Sin Eating'. The night before a funeral, a 'Sin Eater', often a beggar, was given a meal by the bereaved. He would eat the meal alongside the deceased, and in doing so would consume his 'sins', allowing the deceased access to heaven.
Hey, guys. In case you didn't know, Elden Ring had an update not long ago that made it so any new item you pick up goes to the first menu in your inventory. I appreciated Krupas "so i married an axe murderer" joke/reference
DANIEL the SELF-PROCLAIMED LORE MASTER keeps referring to ROSUS as ROSARIA when they are VERY DIFFERENT! ROSUS is the SHEPHERD of the DEAD and ROSARIA is the MOTHER of REBIRTH and such a mistake is INEXCUSABLE!
Personally I always get Rosus Shepherd of the Dead and Jergal Scribe of the Dead mixed up and they’re not even in the same genre. Fantasy is silly fun.
Best intro yet lads!

Rory, fair play on the heartless shout out. That thing is a FromSoftware heartless fs
The muck build: giant fingersword and a piss spell
Two handing a seal, just filthy
This slash weapon isnt doing much damage, what other weapons have we got? Lets try this less upgraded slash weapon 😂.
Thank god for Dan keeping the train moving forwards 😅.
in Vinland Saga Gav, they are trying to get to North America , Vineland, which the vikings did land in.
29:36 Yes, just when I was a child I would use the L shape of my hand to determine which way was left or right. Not any more of course...
Losing the runes is stressing me so much! love you guys but watching you slowly sidestep 60k runes is hard to watch!
Can't warp out of dungeons until you beat the boss, hero graves included
