An artist can develop skills and become one of the finest around (sports, drama, singing, etc.,). But what makes that artist so very special that they stand above the rest?. It is 'who they are'. There is a love inside of them which radiates to anyone near them. It cannot be manufactured or taught, a person must be born with that quality. That singer who makes you cry when you hear her sing, find out 'who she is' and you will discover she is a beautiful and wonderful human being. I know this was a long lead in but that's what is going on with Paige. She is an amazing basketball player and 'who she is' turns her into someone who can lead with compassion and never be doubted. Example: When Paige passes the basketball to a player that player mentally goes 'into a zone' because it is imperative they make the shot BECAUSE PAIGE PASSED THE BALL TO THEM. I will repeat myself, it's because of 'who she is'. Think about who you know in your life who can do that to you. There are not many. When you find one your heart will let you know. Paige is very special.
Everything you say in this video about Paige could also be applied to Caitlin Clark (three level scoring, high processing, passing ability, elite basketball IQ, can always get to her spots and has the quickest release in the game), so I'm not sure why you say Paige is going to have the best pro career, but only speak to Clark's popularity. Clark is popular because she is so skilled in the areas you laid out in this video. For example, you could also make a reel of her shooting over the tallest players in the game also seeing as uconn's system is to let paige iso every possession, yeah obviously she doesnt defer from that...
You entitled to your opinion...weather she is the best player or not she's not going to be marketed by the NCAA as the best player in college basketball. They were on her train for a minute but after she lost that championship game to SC and had those injuries they quickly moved on to Catlin Clark and they riding that one out😂
@@politicallil7060 I don’t really care if how the ncaa views her because she already proved why she was the best winning all awards she was eligible for as a freshmen, something no one in history has done before, UCONN is the team that lost to SC not Paige, the same way IOWA lost to lsu and not Caitlin. I still stand by my statement ❤️🩹 the ncaa only markets people with big personalities.
Nice, but you missed a couple crucial things. She is the best clutch performer since DT, and she's become elite defensively. She also finshes at the cup( myriad types, both hands, both sides of the rim, through contact). You could do a A+ highlight reel on all three of those attributes that no one, especially Clark, could touch. As an aside, her 44% career 3 % is 7% better than Clark's and her mid range game is better than any one in the draft does anything. She's as clear a number as there's been since Stewie. Clark's best thing is 3s, she's not as good as Paige. He scoring and assists are a function of massive TOP and ridiculous shot volume, and medium efficiency at best. She's also a dumpster fire on D and has a far far less impressive record in the clutch and against top 20 opponents. This year alone she's shooting 36% and 29% from 3 against top 20. Clark is a basic box score stuffer, at a far less efficient rate than Paige, who's a liability on D....not a #1 pick and certainly not higher than Paige.. . that's practically criminal.
She is all that and a bag of chips to hear you tell it...but she let an undersized guard smoke her in an NCAA championship game she is no DT because that never happened to her.
@@politicallil7060 The same way cc was yelling “get this girl off of me” to her teammates when playing uconn because nika muhl was glued to her. Also, Paige had 1 turnover the whole SC game. This or that, her numbers are better than any guard.
@@violetforpb she didn't yell it, she said it in the huddle... and she still went off in that game, even while tightly guard. and having low turnovers is great but also easy when you barely tough the ball...
Clark is a far better clutch performer. I'm not sure what your "far far less impressive record in the clutch and against top 20 opponents" points to, seeing as she's had two more full seasons than Paige, while playing in a much more difficult conference. Consider what she's asked to do for her team. I think we all saw the buzzer beater, the March Madness run, etc etc. You could also 100% do an A+ highlight reel on Caitlin finishing at the cup. Clark's scoring and assists are hardly a function of shot volume and TOP - if that was the case, teams would just let her go off and they'd win every time. But she has an incredibly ability to break down defenses, thus creating the best shot for herself or her teammates. What she's been able to do on a team nowhere near UConn's level of talent points to the fact she is an all around offensive talent and leader, just just a "basic box score stuffer." You don't have the level of team success she's had if you're only a three point shooter. You also cannot accurate compare Paige and Caitlin's efficiency using pure fg%, as Caitlin shoots much more from the three point line - this is not at all the only thing she's capable of, but she's such a prolific three point shot creator that it's often more effective for her to take a three than a midrange shot. But her midrange abilities are just as strong as Paige's. Whereas you'll notice that Paige can knock down open threes, but is not as adept at creating them for herself. The three is far from Caitlin's only ability - if you watched even a single one of her games you'd see she shoots from every level, and is perhaps an even better passer than she is shooter. This video insinuates that needing to work within UConn's system is a detriment to Paige but I see it as the opposite - she is able to be so efficient because she's not carrying the offensive load that Clark is. As for defense, you're kidding yourself if you think Paige is any more of an effective on-ball defender than Caitlin. They both can read passing lanes well, and Caitlin is a hell of a rebounder, so they are both effective help defenders.
You are the one who should be embarrassed, you are NOT watching other teams with better guards, LSU, Pao Pao of South Carolina, Clark of Iowa. You're just living in the past. IT's NOW.@@violetforpb
@@mplou699 fun fact, Paige has higher PPP, ORTG, PPSA, and EFG%, than ALL of who you mentioned, her EFG% is the HIGHEST for guards in the country. this isn’t numbers from the past, the season JUST started for her and she’s averaging numbers higher than anyone after being back from surgery and away from the game for over 600 days, and they played 5 ranked opponents (tomorrow will make it 6) unlike many teams ranked above them who have played 1 or 2 ranked teams, and have played MORE season and were HEALTHY. also, you know what that means? her numbers will continues to rise day by day. injured or not she had better stat percentile than anyone, including cc, whom I adore. it’s just the truth, idk why you’re pissed off she’s the best.
@@violetforpb Paige has .08 PPP more than Caitlin, and .03 PPSA more. Do you realize what a miniscule margin that is? It hardly points to Paige being significantly more efficient - it could change after half a game. And her efg% is 60.3, while Caitlin's is 58.9. If Paige's is the highest in the country, Caitlin must not be far behind. While averaging significantly more points per game. And if we want to talk stat categories, Caitlin has more points, rebounds, and assists than Paige. She also has a higher Player Efficiency Rating, more Win Shares (both offensive and defensive), and a lower defensive rating. Paige isn't better just because of a couple categories you handpicked

Great job! Fair and balanced analysis.
It's gonna be a shock pick at #2 that's the wild ♦️ card right there...
Nice job on your video. Kudos!
Paige is going to thrive with the spacing in the W.
PB was the best young player in the country before her injury. She might have been the #1 pick in 2024 over Clark if it wasn't for the torn ACL
