In order for Dyslexia to be more favorable, than not; it still has to intersect with opportunity and circumstance.

This concept of controlling which difficulties a child should experience because this is the parents' role is delusional and unhelpful. The idea that we as parents somehow control the outcome of a child's life is BS that parents have been indoctrinated into over the last 50 years. It comes from FEAR. It is important for a child to go through whatever drama, turmoil and suffering it needs to (determined by the universe) but it is the parents' job to give the child the tools, philosophical viewpoints and strong foundation for the child to deal with it.

You do.... just like a general, can let his soldiers go crazy, he tells them it's gonna be ok and it's part of being a soldier. Mind you these are 25 year old soldiers. You're the general for your children who have no experience in this world, you're all they have, you can't control the life they have but you can control the life they have at home. You're one of those parents who doesn't take care of their kids and wonder why they dislike you. Children are future adults, if you're life is too important, don't expect them to care or be nice when they're the same age.

It's his book 'David and Goliath". Its a wonderful book describing the advantages of those person having a disadvantageous situation than those having the upperhand.

it's a cute story, but i bet more dyslexic people fail than succeed. and right on cue, the interviewer mentioned there are higher percentage of dyslexic people locked up in prison too
