I would split it up to twice a day. Watch how much you are giving her. She is a sweet dog. The little goat is doing so much better. The animals look great. Wish I had that property. Thanks for sharing. Take care. God bless. ✌️🇺🇸❤️
I am really glad the baby goat is doing so well. She looks so cute in her little cast, I am glad Brandon has such a great medical background. He is a real asset to the farm.
We have a black mouth cur, high energy utility dog is how the breed is described. Mine likes to hunt rabbits and prairie dogs. My vet suggested feeding her 1/2 recommended amount twice a day. She's done very well on it.
I think twice a day is optimum. Not more than the recommended amount per day. Other farms with large LGD’s recommend raising the food dish to avoid twisted gut. Your dish could be one level higher She’s tall enough for that. The less bending while they eat the better. Just suggesting. ❤
Never owned a LGD, but I have always fed my dogs twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. Same with my house cats. 💖 I am happy to hear the little doeling is doing well. She should heal up nice and sound. 💖💖💖
Myke your LGD are very active so if they eat it I would feed twice a day. Actually if you can do self feeder and then you can still manage how much they eat at a time and keep out of the weather. Love y'all and God Bless 💕💕💕
All the farmers I subscribe to feed all their animals twice a day. You have some nice goats. I think Brandon is waiting for you. He doesn’t want to burn his farm up. Lol, God bless you and your beautiful family. Just be happy.
I feed my dogs 2x/day. Just cut it back first and see if that makes a difference. Self feeders are great too from what others have said. Seeing your green grass is great---I am currently getting more snow and high wind/gusts. Guess we are in a blizzard until late Sunday the 12th. Spring---may arrive in Minnesota in June? Seriously, we have had winter storms into May. GOD BLESS!
Wondering since Yolanda is with Brendan’s goats does that mean your does are without a guardian dog or did you move the one with the bucks over to the does. Yolana is doing such a good job with these goats.
Well the anytime feeder may encourage the goats to eat it, as you say. I think that Kevin at Hidden Heights feeds one good meal a day and gives the dogs fresh eggs. I think I would just do one good meal personally but I would check with my Vet to make sure.
Hey Mike ... I would feed her when you feed the goats ..... If you do the anytime feeder you know the goats will eat it also. If you feed her once a day a large amount the goats will eat what she doesn't
The little one looks like her leg is doing better. All the other goats look like they're doing good. Yolana looked like she was hungry and ready for her food. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your brother. Love watching all your videos. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
The little kid s leg looks like it's healing good, she's a fighter. Loving the sunshine. My sister has a longhaired German shepherd and her vet has advised her to feed once a day to avoid extra weight gain, as large dogs are prone to hip problems. God bless.
Good morning, thank you for sharing your farm with us . I only have house dogs lol . Chocolate lab/ beagle mix 71 lbs and a Shepard/ hound mix 80lbs . I feed them 2x a day . Morning and evening just like you . I know it's different for working dogs and you should do what's easiest for you . I would think putting up some kind of panel so the goats can't get at the food and allowing him to eat when needed is probably the easiest for you and your chores
Our neighbors have the same dogs and feeds twice daily. The baby goat is doing good! Happy Birthday to your brother! I would love to see what y’all did to the tiny house, bc we are going to get one and trying to figure out the design inside.
Your animals all look good Mike. I subscribed to Brandon channel and I sure hope he does film Rosa's family , I think it would be interesting and it's good to be with family. Happy Birthday to your brother. Thank you so much for sharing your life, family, and animals with us. ♡♡♡ 😀
I love watching your videos. I'm a city gal so I would 2 but the night one would be more like a snack. That way she will interact with you 2x a day still.
I take the amount of food that I would feed my dog if feeding once per day and split it into 2 meals. You can determine whether to feed her once or twice by what works best for her but as far as how much you feed that should be determined by her. Things like if you feed 2 times and she leaves food after both meals then she doesn’t need it. Other then that I go by their weight. If they are a bit heavy I cut back and vice versa. I measure food so that when I need to cut back, I don’t go overboard.
At least you like the smell of your pickle barrel. Soaking it with baking soda and water might help to get the smell out of it if you ever change your mind.
Cool hat! That's funny about the pickles. I don't have a livestock dog. I have a house dog lol. He's a Chow Chow, about 70lbs. I will say that I free feed and he does a light breakfast and periodic nibbles, but only eats his full meal in the evening. Happy belated birthday to your other brother. What is your son's channel? You've mentioned it before but I get distracted and then I don't go and search🤷♀️ Thanks for the video, it's nice to see the sunshine (I'm in central NY so winter is still here). 🌞
If she feels she has to defend her food, she will gulp . Two meals. Light meal in the evening, before work, larger meal in the morning before bed. She may decide she prefers a larger breakfast, you can change to larger meal at night. She works the night shift, most LGDs I've known, prefer the larger meal before bed, which is in the morning
Check with your vet . I wouldn't do an anytime feeder bc you don't want her getting overweight even though she will get lots of exercise . Idk I would check with your vet
I would feed your dog twice a day. It keeps her connected to you so she knows where her food comes from. It helps to eliminate predators that would be hanging around to eat her food, which helps to keep her from getting exposed to the diseases they can have. It also keeps the goats from eating her food. I know it is more effort but I think it is worth it. I would just feed her less each time.
Feed her a little less of what you feed her in the am and the pm do give her what you normally give her cause there’s nothing like going to bed 🛏 with a happy 😃 belly❤❤❤ well it is for me Lol. I sleep good that’s for sure😅
1 meal and a snack for the goats to stay out of it. or maybe fix her up like your other doggie up with your goats and feed all the time so the goats want get into it
Always a good choice to follow a vet. My bet has a big farm and she has said she feeds hers through an automatic feeder so they eat when they want (outside dogs)
I would research the dog food you are giving your dogs I was told by so many vets the colored dog food isn’t good and to do research on the brands of food your feeding, the vet’s recommended Science Diet yes it’s more expensive bc it’s a good food so many brands are not good and cause so many health problems .
I would feed my dogs two times a day maybe you’re feeding her too much at one time but dogs get hungry just like human beings. I have a little dog in the house and she has to be fed two times a day. How would you like to be feed at one time a day? Thank of your dog as a human being.
I like the anytime feeder idea. I have had many cats and dogs and they ate on demand. I have not had one fat animal ever.
Hello @Fowler Family Farm 🙂 Myke and Tonya! God bless you all 🙏
Baby goat looks better. Yolana says feed me now
The little girl is doing better
May the Lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals
Thank you so much Brenda
You have pancake now ya just need peanut butter and syrup you'll be set🤔🙋♂️❤️👍
We Syrup but gave him back to Marie over at Random Okie Farms
I would split it up to twice a day. Watch how much you are giving her. She is a sweet dog. The little goat is doing so much better. The animals look great. Wish I had that property. Thanks for sharing. Take care. God bless. ✌️🇺🇸❤️
Thanks for watching Charlene. Appreciate the kind comment
Our inside dogs eat once a day. if I had a LGD I would probably have an auto feeder so they can eat when they want to.
Yeah Im kinda leaning that way
I am really glad the baby goat is doing so well. She looks so cute in her little cast, I am glad Brandon has such a great medical background. He is a real asset to the farm.
Yes he is a great asset to the farm. Thanks Debora
❤
We have a black mouth cur, high energy utility dog is how the breed is described. Mine likes to hunt rabbits and prairie dogs. My vet suggested feeding her 1/2 recommended amount twice a day. She's done very well on it.
I have a Great Pyrenees as a house dog. Yes, I fight fur all day
I think twice a day is optimum. Not more than the recommended amount per day. Other farms with large LGD’s recommend raising the food dish to avoid twisted gut. Your dish could be one level higher She’s tall enough for that. The less bending while they eat the better. Just suggesting. ❤
Twice a day in morn then they can eat and sleep then eveing get ready for the night watch
💖💖👍👍👍👍

I think twice a day is best!!! I would give 1 egg with the food!!! It really helps thier hair!!! Glad the kid is doing better!!! God Bless!!!
😇😇😇💜
I would do an any time feeder.
😊❤💯🖐
I feed her at sunrise then at 4pm I think its much better then all at one time I think its better
🍀🍀
Glad she’s healing
👍she is doing good
We free feed my dog and she never eats it all.
2 smaller meals. Light in the morning. Heavy at night. She works at night
Very true. Thanks
I feed my two dogs twice a day no rule on it 😍
I like the goats being lively and healthy 🙂
They are all goat for sure. Thanks Deb
Never owned a LGD, but I have always fed my dogs twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. Same with my house cats. 💖
I am happy to hear the little doeling is doing well. She should heal up nice and sound. 💖💖💖
Yeah I think she will be fine and back to normal in a couple more weeks
Myke your LGD are very active so if they eat it I would feed twice a day. Actually if you can do self feeder and then you can still manage how much they eat at a time and keep out of the weather. Love y'all and God Bless 💕💕💕
💖💖🙏🙏💖💖 Happy Birthday to your brother 🎂🎂
The grass should be greening soon our is even tho it is cold today!Happy birthday to your brother 🎉your brother an mine had the same birthday !
I would recommend twice a day. Just give her a little less for dinner. Better for her digestion.
All the farmers I subscribe to feed all their animals twice a day. You have some nice goats. I think Brandon is waiting for you. He doesn’t want to burn his farm up. Lol, God bless you and your beautiful family. Just be happy.
Thanks Nanny. Appreciate it
Feed twice a day. If she’s skipping a meal it means she’s not a greedy dog and it won’t hurt her x
The goats look great.
I feed my dogs 2x/day. Just cut it back first and see if that makes a difference. Self feeders are great too from what others have said. Thats crazy…. I couldnt handle Minnesota and I know Tonya couldnt

I think I would just do one good meal personally but I would check with my Vet to make sure.
Glad the baby is doing better. She would have loved the cruise life I'm sure. She would probably be well lol 😂😂🤣🤣
Haha yeah. Thanks laura
Hey Mike ... I would feed her when you feed the goats ..... If you do the anytime feeder you know the goats will eat it also. If you feed her once a day a large amount the goats will eat what she doesn't

@@FowlerFamilyFarm Marie post the video.
The little kid
s leg looks like it's healing good, she's a fighter. Loving the sunshine. My sister has a longhaired German shepherd and her vet has advised her to feed once a day to avoid extra weight gain, as large dogs are prone to hip problems. God bless.
Yes hip issues are a concern. Thats one if the issues we had with our first LGD
Great day🐐🐑
Thanks Doris
Out for the goats
Enjoyed the Video!! I also enjoyed the weather! 🤗♥️🙏🏼
If dog's happy let it be. Nice video LOVIES GOD BLESS love you guys New Zealand

Yeah I did that in the past and it really did work out really well.
Our neighbors have the same dogs and feeds twice daily. The baby goat is doing good! Happy Birthday to your brother! I would love to see what y’all did to the tiny house, bc we are going to get one and trying to figure out the design inside.
I always feed once a day usually around 5pm
Your animals all look good Mike. I subscribed to Brandon channel and I sure hope he does film Rosa's family , I think it would be interesting and it's good to be with family. Happy Birthday to your brother. Thank you so much for sharing your life, family, and animals with us. ♡♡♡ 😀
Your welcome Gayle. Thank you so much for watching our videos. Im sure he videoed some of their trip to Rosas family
We always fed and watered ours twice a day.....
Thats what we do for now
She looks good! Your place always looks so neat and clean , that has to take a lot of hard work with all the animals.
It is part of the chores we do. Keep it clean will also keep it safe
First time here but will be back. Really enjoyed hearing all about your animals. I'm a dislocated Okie living in NC
Well do you miss Oklahoma? Thanks for checking us out.
We feed ours once a day. Usually at dinner time. Sometimes they don’t eat all of that
Im thinking of switching to that.
I love watching your videos. I'm a city gal so I would 2 but the night one would be more like a snack. That way she will interact with you 2x a day still.
👍 yep very good idea

I feed my dog in the morning and then a banana or apple slices and a few milk bones in the evening for a snack.
I feed all animals goats, lgd’s, chickens and ducks once a day at the same time.
a decent helping with an chicken/duck egg on top for the lgd’s
👍
Twice a day
👍 thanks Dottie
Give her some raw eggs in with her dog food it's good for there coats 👌🏽👍🏼👍🏼🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yeah I actually do that probably on e a week, now that im getting eggs more often I can step it up even more
You could get your teaser
Ask your veterinarian. We feed our dog once a day in the morning.
Happy birthday to your brother. An hour away it's not that far.
It's nice you have a brother right next to you.
The baby goat's leg is healing nicely.
Thanks Carmen. The baby goat is doing really good

Hello Myke and Tonya. Have a great day.

Oh man….winter is ling gone for our area I think. We will get up in the 80° today. It will be windy tho. Brendens channel is HaciendaFowler
Twice a day. Adjust to needs.

Yeah i e considered the over eating part
I would feed your dog twice a day. It keeps her connected to you so she knows where her food comes from. 1 meal and a snack for the goats to stay out of it. or maybe fix her up like your other doggie up with your goats and feed all the time so the goats want get into it
Yeah I think im gonna make a switch.
I feed my dog by what her vet has told me.
I recommend feeding twice a day. Some dogs can get diabetes. So feeding twice a day will maintain their blood sugar level!!!
Ah didn’t even think of health related reasons. Thanks Peggy.
Diabetes is not a concern for a healthy dog.
Don't recommend once a day keep the way you do but give her less so she eats all
Why didn't you take her to the vet and get her leg fixed
I would feed her once a day an on demand feeder will cause you problems with the goats
I would feed my dogs two times a day maybe you’re feeding her too much at one time but dogs get hungry just like human beings. I have a little dog in the house and she has to be fed two times a day. How would you like to be feed at one time a day? Thank of your dog as a human being.
why didnt u took ger to the vet poor furbaby take her to the VET !!!!!!!
I feed my dog twice a day. Its not good to give them a whole lot of food at one time. Its also not good to have that food sit the whole time
We feed one meal daily with an egg. Anything else you're wasting money bc the goats will eat it and it's no benefit to your dog.
