I lost my daughter 15 months ago at the age of 13. I'm not mad at God for taking her but my love for her, which is also unending deep despair and impossible longing, is idolatry. I don't know what to do. With no other kids I am considering monasticism.
Hello, my name is tania, if I had the gift with words, I could say something that could console your hurt, but I don’t have such words. I am a mother of six, praise the Lord they are all alive, but, my parents lost five sons. This is a true story we were told by Bishop Filoret, who went on to become Metropolitan Filoret of the Orthodox Church abroad. In early Russia, a man was traveling, evening found him in a village he knew no one. He stopped at a house. Because there was no light, he thought he would not knock on the door but rest in the wagon close by. He fell asleep quickly, but was woken up by words and a very brilliant light from the porch of the house. When his eyes were adjusted to the light, he realised they were two Angels of God. One was Angel of life and the other an Angel of death. They were discussing the child that was just born, as to at what age this new born will die. The Angel of death insisted that he should die now, but the Angel of life said now, let him live. After a few minutes they agreed that he will die at the age of 21. My dear friend in Christ, it seems that we are born with a time of our death. Please forgive me if I have spoken out of turn and upset you. tania.
Your Father does not commit evil. That is blasphemy. I'm sorry you're hurt, but death isn't the end at all. Not even close. Christ saved everyone. You, your daughter, etc. Nothing you do will ever nullify that gift, nor will anything you do make you deserving of that gift. But THAT is the good news. That you are loved by a Father that has never and will never commit evil and that has saved you and your daughter from an eternity of sin.
I am so so sorry for your loss. I could not imagine how deeply sad and in despair you are and I would be too. I don’t think it’s idolatry. It’s love and that is the love Our Father has for us. Please understand that you will see her again. She is away from this evil world full of sin and He saved her from the upcoming tribulation and hard times. I will be praying for you and God’s guidance in your life. I hope you find His divine joy and love and peace. 🙏☦️

I’m a half hearted Christian. God will tell/ask me “let’s read the Bible”, “let’s talk” and more. But I say to myself I’m playing a game or something else. To be honest I feel ashamed sometimes. God please forgive me, a sinner.
I struggle finding faith, I feel I believe but some part of me always fights so hard to sin and revert back to disbelief. I dont know what to do really.
I have been half hearted for a long time, struggling, yes, but nonetheless half hearted. Over drinking, sexual immorality, fits for rage, cursing, and definitely Not Loving My Neighbor. The other night, The Lord allowed me to experience a terrible vision. I steered face to face with a real demon. He looked wholly dedicated to evil. He had a human face and miniature goats ears. We had eye contact. I saw his expression. It was cold as ice. When I awakened I understood that I had been in the presence of a real demon and this was obviously as a result of my half heartedness towards our Merciful Father in Heaven. I have understood clearly now that by daily drinking alcohol I have been flirting with the devil, flirting with death and damnation. The Lord knew I needed this shock to shake me out of my half heartedness. We all get what we ask for. May our daily actions not ask for death and damnation. Let us run to the Loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ and worship Him with daily obedience lest our hearts be extinguished and our souls die. We need to be the new creatures that He created us to be, filled with His Love and walking with Him.

I don’t understand what this means, in the context of my own life. At 60 years old, I have now abandoned all of my worldly dreams and desires. I live entirely for getting right with God, walking as best as I know how to walk with Jesus in the Holy Spirit, working hard to pay my debts, and caring for my family that God gave me to care for. If praying to the Theotokos is a "Cultured" man you are just ignorant. It's been the tradition of Christianity for millennia. Stop with your modern doctrines and heretical beliefs,.
@@henryconner780 it’s been a tradition of men… where is the Bible does it say that we should ask Mary to pray on our behalf??
Thank you for these short teachings Father, I was a protestant who was struggling fiercely with my own passions just a few short months ago and I am now on a straighter path and about to begin catechumen at my local parish. This was due, in no small part, to your teachings. Thank you so very much.
I did that a little over twenty years ago, and I got a dose of grace that lasted for about two & a half years. One night, I gave in to cigarettes again, & then my passions all came back. My advice is to hold on to that grace & protect it w/ your life. I was from a nominal Catholic family though, & started going to an Orthodox parish when I was twenty. My early twenties weren't very typical I guess. Wish you the very best!
@@russellhoward3866 Thank you and I wish you the same. And amen, I really need to guard the precious grace that has been given to me. I really appreciate these words.
Father... your practical wisdom on living our walk with Christ is priceless may God's blessings continue to be on your message and may it fall on the hard hearts that need this message in our savior Jesus name amen 🙏

Thank you Father spyridon for your inspirational videos...Amen all glory be to our lord Jesus Christ
I admit, recently during my sinning it starts to feel like no conviction is near me, I just know my deed was wrong and I want to repent to never stray from God yet I fear that I am becoming spiritually dead in christ
same for me. you are not alone. read Psalm 51 and ask God for a new heart.
I’m a half hearted Christian. God will tell/ask me “let’s read the Bible”, “let’s talk” and more. But I say to myself I’m playing a game or something else. To be honest I feel ashamed sometimes. God please forgive me, a sinner.
Christ bless you all!
I’m a sinner and even less than half hearted. May lord Jesus Christ son of God have mercy on me.
As always, most inspiring as The Truth of Almighty God always. is. May God continue to bless and keep you Father.
I struggle finding faith, I feel I believe but some part of me always fights so hard to sin and revert back to disbelief. I dont know what to do really.
Thank you father for this message and may christ have mercy on us sinners
Thank you Father Spyridon.
Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on me a sinner.
Amen ❤️🙏🏽☦️
Blessings to you.
🕊
Thank you Father🙏
Truth and Love....❤
When I got to my church they ask me who taught me about orthodoxy and I say from the lord through father spyridon
Lord I give you my heart...Amen 🙏 all glory be to our lord Jesus Christ
A lot of people are not willing to say how much Gods means to them and what cost would they lay their hearts on the altar for God. Most people don’t understand what discipleship means. Such an important message Fr. Spyridon. Thank you. 🙏🏻
Dear brothers and sisters.
Please pray for me. For 15 years I have been struggling with debilitating sickness that's made my life unberable. I am in my mid 30 and would love to still have streingth to serve my Savior and Lord.
Jesus is my Healer. Thank you all 🙏🏻
Please also pray that God grants me strength to go through this valley with humility and thankfulness.
Please also pray that the fire of Holy Spirit would be with me.
God bless you all, beloved. 🙏🏻
This is true gospel
thank you father God bless
Thank you father Spyridon so true to remind us and myself to answer the call of Jesus to deny ourselves take up our cross and follow Him it is a hard and narrow road few will find it. His promise I will send the Helper the Holy Spirit the Spirit of Truth and another scripture (there are many) the apostle Paul in Romans 12 verses 1&2 lays it all down for us and me. Thank you again brother for reminding me God bless you.
Hans from New Zealand
Father, could you please make a video about mental illness and OCD? God bless
Thank you, truly
Father, God has truly blessed you with a command of language, and us by association. May I awaken, with His help, to these meanings and may I truly take my life into account, freed from shame and despair, and act with hope for God.
Thank you father
I will not reject Christ, our Lord
the timing is crazy
God comes in many forms. In many times, and moments.
After being saved from many bad habits, thanks to God, I found myself committing to one tonight that I have yet to kick. Feeling as I did it i had a feeling that it isn't where God wants me to do anymore. It is below me. Incredibly enough this video was the first one to appear on my home page. Message recieved.
Praise to Jesus Christ.
Thank you Father Spyridon.
Praise God

DEEPLY APPRECIATE YOUR HOMILY SO MUCH AND GRIEF ALSO. BE BLESSED DEAR FATHER
Father, i don‘t know why but i‘m always falling for sins. Sometimes i say to myself, it was so unmecessary, but i keep failing.
Please pray for me so i can find a deeper union with christ☦️
Father Spyridon, your words are for me often times the antidote to the toxicity of this world, thank you deeply !
What did a young man say...let me go bury my father. And The Lord said...
Me, a sinner, thought this while listening.
❤
Thank you Father. Message well received.
May GOD bless you Father ❤🙏
Thank you. 💜💜💜💜
My desire for wealth, knowledge and power sets my limit in my heart
I am definitely not a half-hearted Christian, but not so sure about three-quarters hearted.
Just joking, God bless Fr. Spyridon ❤☦️
Thank you.
Thank you fr
Words of wisdom thank you
this made me really think about myself and where i stand
I really truly liked the background place it s full of god connection it is living the nature the sound of the birds the stillness the atmosphere of contemplation thanks it s makes the preach more authentic and alive ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Christ is Lord ☦️
Based priests like the wonderful Fr Spyridon are who I look up to for enlightenment, guidance, wisdom and strength.
Men like these, the Saints, Mother Mary and most of all Messiah Jesus of Nazareth, King of Kings are who we are to look to, not celebrity culture.
Worldly ways can never compare to God’s way. God bless you Fr Spyridon ☦️
Father, thank you for sharing these wise words. God has blessed us with your insight.
Amin!
Am I to abandon my home and family that God gave me to look after? Believe me, there are times when it would be easier to walk away than to hold on…but is that what He really wants us to do? God help me. Help US. ❤
You are to take care of your family sir, God wants you to watch over them if they are relying on you at all. Check out these NEW TESTAMENT Scriptures. II Corinthians 12:14, II Thessalonians 3: 8- 12,. Keep reading the Scriptures for answers and guidance from THE LORD.
Christ already saved you, as He did everyone. If even the devil hinself isn't saved then Christ died in vain. Nothing you do has ANY effect on your salvation. Living a righteous life doesn't mean giving up comforts or things that you like. In part, it means not being subject to those desires, especially to the point where you stumble in your relationship with you Father...
@@googleplaynow9608 utter blasphemous heresy
@@googleplaynow9608 "If even the devil himself isn't saved then Christ died in vain." I hope you're intention is just to lift this man's heart up because Devil CANNOT be saved for he willfully rebel with full knowledge of what will happen with Humanity. It's like saying a murderer is not a murderer because he is a nice person. Also, the Devil cannot be save because he is not a human, he is a fallen angel. There is no way of repentance for an angel.
May the pain of the world be taken from us in the loving arms of our father, in the glory of his son and the sacrifice he made for us and in the name of the holy spirit that compels us to do the good works of the almighty. Pray for us, ora pro nobis, magnificat anima mea dominum, in nomine patris, et fili, et spiritus sancte, amen.
I can barely even call myself half hearted. I have been real weak.
Your talks bring great peace Father
Amen, Amen, and Amen. Please Im asking for prayers for me and my family. Thank you everyone💗🙌🙌🙏❤
Im ready to give up everything for Christ
Cause he gave everything up for us 🙏
Well said sermon 🙏 Shalom
I’m not an orthodox Christian, I would say I’m more of an evangelical Christian but even so I always classify myself as a follower of Christ. Just wanted to say I appreciate the videos u make. The topics u touch on that I struggle with or have questions about help a lot.
God bless all
I haven't even been half-hearted lately--maybe quarter hearted at best. Just adrift, lost in sin, floating like a jellyfish without conviction, humbleness, forgiveness or love in my heart for Christ. (It's the norm in today's world.) I'm turning towards Christ again no matter the difficulty. Lately I have been seeking validation from others although I tell myself otherwise, I have been deceiving myself. All I need is God's commands by re-cultivating my relationship with Christ--that is all. I don't need others validations. I just need to re-cultivate my relationship with Christ. Amen. All glory to Christ and His followers.
Be kind. Do what you can. That's all.
Without God, we can do nothing ourselves.
My limitation is in my desire for other people’s love. I want to feel dependable to people so much that I forget God should be my greatest priority.
Strong and important message. I love your videos
Forgive me for I am a sinner
