Dinning Room Ceiling Light Replacement DIY

Video Tutorial demonstrates how to remove then install a new light fixture chandelier or in the dining room or living room.
Tools & parts needed:
screwdriver, electrical tape, wire cutter, wire connector, light mounting bracket or crossbar, contactless voltage checker, Zinc Plated Nipples, hex nuts

STEPS:
Turn off the power at the breaker
Twist off old light fixture by counterclockwise
cut off the old electrical wire and remove the old light
Line up holes on the guide plate to the holes in the flanges that come off of the electrical box.
Put the wires through the nipple.
Screw-in guide plate.
Take the ground wire, which is always the copper bare wire, and attach to the ground screw.
Wrap it around and tighten the screw so if the light fixture slips out of your hand it will hold.
connect electrical wires black to black and white to the white wire.
Twist wires together using an electrical connector.
Screw-in new light lamp.
Turn the power back on.
