Cricket bat Rehandle - Replacing a broken cricket bat handle

- Rehandle and new facing of this SS Gladiator cricket bat that was a few years old.
This bat was in particularly good conditions, save the fact the batsmen has hit too many in the middle too hard, causing the handle to come loose from the splice! Wouldn't we all like to have the problem!
This service includes:
Cutting out the old handle.
Repairing some small cracks where the willow will blend to the new handle.
Glue in the new handle.
Shape to existing blade and shape to the players request specifications for handle size.
Remove old protective facing (unfortunately the camera wasn't running for this)
Clean off of the old glue.
Apply new facing, edge tape and a bit of tape to protect the toe.

Spotless! I use hacksaw to cut the handle out of bat but when cutting new handle according to bat size it gives me hard time. I want to buy a machine but was wondering how to make that handle holder and bat holder you have made? On what angles you make the cut? Thank you for the video.

The frame is completely home made and I salvaged an old sewing machine motor to spin it.

Can bat loose its ping after a rehandle?
It doesn't lose it's ping, but unless you're doing putting a handle in that is identical to the previous one, it does change the characteristics of the bat bit. So for example, if the handle is heavier the balance point will move higher on the bat and it will pick up lighter. If the handle is lighter the reverse.
If the new handle has less flex, you might feel that the bat has less whip in it, and you don't strike the ball.
So overall, the ping isn't impacted as the playing surface down't change, but other aspects can change to change the overall performance.
