fyi, the GSOR 1008 has good apcr pen on paper, but when u look at the garage statistics, it has a MASSIVE pen drop over distance. Just something I don't think most people notice about it.
Did i hear the tanks they are offering in the boxes with one of them re named IS-3 i from is-3A so you will get that tank if you have all the other ones like i do vs just getting the new tier 9 if its a guaranteed tank after 50 boxes. If i heard that correct that's pretty low of wot because obviously nobody has a is-3i
when i first played WoT... i have to contest with 200-260 ping... in DSL connection. I lived in the philippines and yeah. HK server is a must and i did decent under those ping. there's a story of a tournament that involved pilipino players in WoT. they played in our local ISP so the ping is high. 100-200 at min. when they played abroad and experienced the sub 50 ping. they're so used on the 200+ ping that they screw up alot in the shots and movement.
@@blumac9801Not as bad as Armored Warfare, though. Any premium you can't buy off the "tech trees" requires "fragments" from 50-100 loot crates, which in total run 100+ usd.. It's ridiculous over there
The HK server always does that with the delayed spotting issue. So you learn to play always lit XD. Also your ping is only 20 higher than what we play at on the HK server. (250 ping is 20 more than NA for us here.) Thanks for coming here to do a review.
When it comes to the crates the ones released here I feel are the best of a bad situation. No OP tanks in them but no really bad tanks either. Likewise with this event WG have clearly put a lot of effort in, opposed to the shamrock event which was basically nothing. If WG was to put the experimental equipment or scraps in the loot boxes I would feel differently as that is very pay to win.
If they put Bond/Component in these boxes of greed then I'll surely delete the game. The currently situation is already close to unacceptable. Want new tank? GAMBLE IT. Meanwhile, they don't give a fuck about all the current problems of the game. Our game is getting closer to its final day by this greedy company.
I had none of the premiums in the crates. Bought 100 of them. first was the KV-4 KTTS and second was TL-7 AND the one right after that was IS-3A. So i would say i had good luck today
Same here. I ended up with over 300k gold and all the new prems from this past Xmas :kekw: 8/9 months later, I still have well over 100k gold (free xp conversions, some extra prems, etc). Looking forward to getting another 300k this Xmas LOL
On console you can buy the tanks, buy them in packages, or buy them from crates but the crates already give the equal amount you paid for them so you can only get better stuff.
Im not sure about others but personally i only get 5 boxes if i have the money for it as i find that i tend to get a prem tank from it. I dont mind the other resources in the loot boxes, as a free to play (mostly) it helps with progress. Im still grinding out T9 for my first T10
The ping he gets is still better then what I got when I was young using an umts-stick at my parents place. Only option we got in those days. Talking about 330ms most of the time with spikes to over 1000ms. This was during WoT Beta times. Glad they are over xD
I've started playing WoT as a kid in 2011 I think, and I was playing it for hours up until 2015 or something like that. And since then I was on and off of it. Playing for a week and then stop for 3-4 months. And the last few years I played it just around Christmas for the Holiday ops event, they felt kinda cool and nice. And now with those loot crates, I don't think I'm coming back. I know that I am one in 100 million (or idk how many players they have) but all those loot creates give me the feeling of those "free" mobile games like raid shadows legends and stuff like that. I'm not gonna lie I bought loot crates first time when the Obj 703 and E 75 TS were added, and I remember it like yesterday, I bought 11 boxes, not expecting anything, and got the Obj 703 and E 75 TS from the 11 loot crates. Every year since then (2 or 3 years) I bought a few boxes, also not expecting anything, because I don't play the game almost not at all, and I was thinking that (20€ or something like that) is not a lot for the gold and the possible premium tank that you get. But after seeing your videos every few months about loot crates, I think I'm out for good. I say again, WoT to me (now in 2023) seems like the kind of mobile game that you get for free, play a few games until your "beginner bonus" runs out, and then it starts bombarding you with crates and all kinds of things for "real money", and then you uninstall it. Good luck in this game, guys, but I'm going to uninstall it as soon as I finish this comment.
I've taken the opposite tack, continuing to play WoT but never again spending any money on it ever since wargaming _[sic]_ lying/cheating/stealing from me in the wg/Verizon T78 Bundle Debacle, not to mention both companies' horrible customer service departments who love to give you the bum's rush. I recommend to everyone to continue to play as long as you enjoy it -- it's still a great game -- but never send wg any money, there's no guarantee you'll get what you paid for. But Dario I respect your decision to leave, all the best.
12:30 I used to live far from EU while being part of it, due to living on a french island. I had 230 ping at best on servers, when I first went to live in France and experiencing 10ms of ping was really weird at first when you're so used to play with 0.2s of lag
At this point with how many events we’ll be getting with boxes we’ll get to the point where it’s just every day there is a box you can buy. Like at least we got an actual EVENT with this one and not like Shamrock days where we just had boxes.
I hit the Jackpot with 50 Crates, I needed the TL-7, KV-5, and the KV-4 KTTS and got all 3 with about 8 Million and 7 of the Red Crew Books so it was pretty loose slots for me and very happy
The tank is amazing! I just got it and got the same equipment and same crew skills as you, and the tank is near perfect for me. It has good enough mobility, ok armor, a great gun, just wish it was a bit more accurate though, but damn, this thing pumps out damage faster than you think lol

Started WOT while I studied abroad. I would LOVE for WG to allow one server switch per account. As an American, my resting ping on the EU server is 120 ms.
Marathons was a great way to introduce new tanks into the game because it was fairly easy to get 60% or 70% discount and acquire a new tier 8 premium tank paying around 25€, but these loot boxes are lame, forcing you to buy tanks you don't like to play... I hope WG will go back to marathons soon enough.

You're lucky, QB... my Asian friends told me about a week ago, Asian server was a landmine because of WG's unannounced horrible new MM (I think Dezgame already mentioned it), and if the players did not strike back so hard, then WG would left that mess there 'til today.

Remember when you could buy new premiums right of the store? For a tier 8+ that's been awhile. New nations coming, buy the new premium for it and get going. Now? Hope you get lucky in some crates. I bought 5 the last time and got the Jap TD at least.

This tank is better than vipera, there is no tank in the game that i hated the most that the vipera, trash accuracy and aim time, i really regretted buying it. 🤦♂️
If I wanted to "blur the line", I'd probably just play a medium. For a tier 9 td, this thing has a low-ish caliber, low-ish base pen, low alpha and a poor base accuracy/dispersion. I think GSOR with it's 320 alpha at tier 8 and a much better final accuracy is probably a bit better tier for tier (?) as an ambush sniper. It's true that all tier 9 premiums thus far have been unimpressive, but still for a 120mm caliber gun I'd like a 400 alpha at least, a base pen around 270 and base accuracy around 0,35 being a tier 9 TD ... Sure it has an autoloader, which is useful. Doesn't appeal too much tbh with these stats, idk.
I think what he meant by blurring the line is the matchmaker advantage. TDs usually gets matched up to TDs, and we all know that TDs are usually a campy class. If you play the TL-7 that can blend into a medium, your team essentially has one extra tank when it comes to competing medium-tank-only locations. This is a huge advantage. Sure you can go play a medium tank with your preferred stats instead, but matchmaker will counter you with an equally powerful medium on the enemy team,
@@Joe-rj7wo I guess he implied that. Anyhow, TDs come in 2 tastes mostly: ambush (snipers) and assault (to all effects and purposes turretless HTs). This one lacks accuracy to be a good sniper and lacks armor to be a brawler. So it's neither. On the other hand, due to having a turret, some armor, mobility and low alpha it's really more of a MT with autoloader and it can be played as such, although its base dispersion factors suck compared to a typical medium (and it cannot use a vertical stabilizer). I personally wouldn't be too excited to use it in close combat against nimble meds with good stabilization, only in certain situations. Whatever.
Well QB, even playing from Singapore, the Asia server is horrible. the ping went from average 10-25ms to 50ms, then when the server doesn't want you to play, it goes up to 200ms.
I just got one of these, unfortunately. Was hoping for an IS-3A. Anyway, it seems custom built for someone like me who stopped advancing their US TD crew at the T95. Everything my crew has already is on the recommended skills list.
Yeah, that's a TD just in name, this needs to be played as a medium. Looks like something perfect for my playstyle, but while I don't mind paying for premium and/or Plus, yeah, I'm not forking over money for loot boxes with no gold in them.
Hmmm, how to make yourself better in competitive multiplayer: Use "Training Weights" by torrenting everything under the sun to push your ping thickness up.
Thanks Will, I've spent enough over the years on this game, but now have a garage full of expensive but rapidly outdated premium vehicles. Until WG buff my oldest T34 Heavy, IS6, & other more recent T8 premiums, to a properly competitive level, I'll pass on buying any current premiums, as they'll inevitably end up the same way very quickly.

I wholeheartedly agree that Wargaming is ramping up on the monetization of their games and although I am very interested in getting new tanks I feel that having to spend the preposterous amounts with all that they offer is getting way out of hand. Not just the absurd bundles with gobloads of gold and or premium days now also the special premium subscription that gives you nothing but a few perks that can be fun but also a bit over the top. Competitive mode? Feels more like 'look at me throwing money at the game to win'.
Well, I must admit, for all these unlucky years that I played, I got TL-7 in 8th chest, T44 in 9th, and IS-3A in 14th... Im not going to complain on these
I play with 200-300 ms of ping all the time. I live in Asia but choose to play on the EU server because I made my account when I still lived in the UK.
I love the gsor 1008 its one of if not my favorite premium tank, i own quite a few premiums. HOWEVER i hate this tl7, the reason i love the gsor is because it feels more accurate i love the gsor for its consistency the lt7 doesnt feel consistent at all
i know the pain of hong kong server ping i have so many times where i ping drove way too far out and died or missed an easy shot to the delay but its like 10mins ques in Australia server or worse ping on my na account, its a painful choice of consistent games of mediocre to bad ping or very few games on good ping
I've been playing wot for 8 years from Argentina I've always played with more than 220 ping in all my games it's bullshit but hey it's what it is. Good games bro.
The problem in Asia Server is because the Hongkong server has very bad connectivity and has lot of issues. WG Asia has been neglecting the server. It used to be located at Singapore and has pretty connectivity. Now it's pretty neglected in Hongkong. Everytime i play with a ping of 150-250ms while in other games i have around 50-70ms. I already tried to contact WG Asia and well.... Still no replies and it's been 5 months now and i still try to contact them. I hope WG HQ will do something.
Um, TL-7 hull traverse is absolutely not correct, the tank runs too slowly considering it has better stats than the Skorpion or GSOR 1008. Is it possible to report the bug?
I don’t have have any concerns over the loot boxes. Yeah, I will buy a few, just for the hell of it to see what I get. Yes it is gambling on what you get. But based on the games my kid and grandkids play. They all have those little 5 or 10 dollar bundles you can get. If your lucky you can get some skin or whatever with it. Just WG doing what the rest are doing.
WarGambling executives and ownership care about four things: caviar, vodka, potatoes and money. Caring about what the community wants or the optics of their decisions are two things they do not concern themselves with.

The key is not what the number is its consistency, if your connection is consistent but like 300 or something then you should be more or less ok

The TL-7 is a pretty fun tank to play, if you don’t mind the sluggish acceleration for a small tank at it’s tier.

Got both this and the Chieftain in 75 boxes. Don't have many of the others so I am pleased.

Omg that's the Tower Ladder 7!! Only ever saw it twice on the EU server and nobody knew how to call it, but it sure kicked ass.

Ping is usually the time to the server. So the full delay is 2*Ping or in your case about 500 milliseconds (to send and receive a packet from t=0)

Bought 15 boxes for $14. Got it in the 3rd box. I like it.
FYI - As a retired Network Engineer I can confirm that Ping IS to and Back, it is a 2 way measurement.

No one force you to buy crate. Be a little patient and a couples of month later you could buy it at the store.

All these OP T8/9/10 stuff puts me off playing those tiers so I'm going back to playing tier 6.
ICYMI the May event is VE Day i.e. the end of WW2 in Europe. Hence the x5 bonus on or around that day recently.

I just got one of these, unfortunately. Was hoping for an IS-3A. Anyway, it seems custom built for someone like me who stopped advancing their US TD crew at the T95. Everything my crew has already is on the recommended skills list.

Looks like something perfect for my playstyle, but while I don't mind paying for premium and/or Plus, yeah, I'm not forking over money for loot boxes with no gold in them.
Loot crates once a quarter would be fine. I'm not getting any loot crates this time. They do seem to be over doing the loot boxes.

Hmmm, how to make yourself better in competitive multiplayer: Use "Training Weights" by torrenting everything under the sun to push your ping thickness up.

Thanks Will, I've spent enough over the years on this game, but now have a garage full of expensive but rapidly outdated premium vehicles. Until WG buff my oldest T34 Heavy, IS6, & other more recent T8 premiums, to a properly competitive level, I'll pass on buying any current premiums, as they'll inevitably end up the same way very quickly.

I wholeheartedly agree that Wargaming is ramping up on the monetization of their games and although I am very interested in getting new tanks I feel that having to spend the preposterous amounts with all that they offer is getting way out of hand. Not just the absurd bundles with gobloads of gold and or premium days now also the special premium subscription that gives you nothing but a few perks that can be fun but also a bit over the top. Competitive mode? Feels more like 'look at me throwing money at the game to win'.
Well, I must admit, for all these unlucky years that I played, I got TL-7 in 8th chest, T44 in 9th, and IS-3A in 14th... Im not going to complain on these

I play with 200-300 ms of ping all the time. I live in Asia but choose to play on the EU server because I made my account when I still lived in the UK.

I love the gsor 1008 its one of if not my favorite premium tank, i own quite a few premiums. HOWEVER i hate this tl7, the reason i love the gsor is because it feels more accurate i love the gsor for its consistency the lt7 doesnt feel consistent at all
Majority of us on Asia server have a 190-210 normal ping to the Honk Kong server
That's my everyday ping, probably a big reason I'm not even at 50% win ratio. LOL

I play on NA from Australia and ping is 240 odd. But playing for 12 years you get used to it.
This tank is not good enough for me to spend cash.
i know the pain of hong kong server ping i have so many times where i ping drove way too far out and died or missed an easy shot to the delay but its like 10mins ques in Australia server or worse ping on my na account, its a painful choice of consistent games of mediocre to bad ping or very few games on good ping
I've been playing wot for 8 years from Argentina I've always played with more than 220 ping in all my games it's bullshit but hey it's what it is. Good games bro.
The only content i care from WG is "full techtree rework", where they make every single tank to be up to the 2023 standard.

The problem in Asia Server is because the Hongkong server has very bad connectivity and has lot of issues. WG Asia has been neglecting the server. It used to be located at Singapore and has pretty connectivity. Now it's pretty neglected in Hongkong. Everytime i play with a ping of 150-250ms while in other games i have around 50-70ms. I already tried to contact WG Asia and well.... Still no replies and it's been 5 months now and i still try to contact them.
I hope WG HQ will do something.
Um, TL-7 hull traverse is absolutely not correct, the tank runs too slowly considering it has better stats than the Skorpion or GSOR 1008.

As an ASIA server player…. That SU in the last replay is classic ASIA. Majority of players have 0 situational awareness.
Anything above about 60ms (milliseconds) ping starts to degrade performance I find.
I don’t have have any concerns over the loot boxes. Yeah, I will buy a few, just for the hell of it to see what I get. Yes it is gambling on what you get. But based on the games my kid and grandkids play. They all have those little 5 or 10 dollar bundles you can get. If your lucky you can get some skin or whatever with it. Just WG doing what the rest are doing.
