Apparently most of them are pre-primed ... that’s really annoying for stock nerfers that just want a solid primary out of the box and don’t wanna bother with spring upgrades (even if I recommend them )
A gear up recon showed up in my locals listings with darts for $35 , was a little far away, checked it couple days later for $175... I guess they did some research
just for the record i don't think its worth $40 but i do think it would be worth $30-$35, and here's why. first off i'd like to say though i don't think you should include the price of shipping in your main blaster price (although you could still mention it) since the majority of consumer level people are likely to pick it up at a local store rather than buy it online. -alpha troopers nowadays cost $27~ to have shipped ($25 before shipping), considering that thy come with the blaster a weak folding stock and a 6 shot mag an extra $13 isn't all that much for what this comes with -this one has a larger plunger tube and has been specifically reworked to take full advantage of accusative darts -this blaster also has the new style drum mags that have been entirely redesigned to stop jams (something that other reviewers have mentioned but you curiously left out of your review) -this one also a costly modification to their injection molds by the way of the attachment point in the front -this gun also comes with a new design of stock that mimics the form and function of an exceedingly popular worker stock -also keep in mind that accustrike darts are extremely costly to produce since they have to be precisely manufactured unlike comparatively cheap elite darts that have a pretty high tolerance for error since they already aren't designed very well aerodynamically, so anything that includes them has to either include less of them or cost more to compensate for the price of the darts (not that i don't think they should try to work on making them in a cheaper manner btw, they need to fix that problem for all of their darts) also, adding this note in after fully watching the video before posting but i DEFINITELY think they need to ship blasters in full boxes if they can be easily primed in box, not shipping in a full box for something like this is a major oversight i understand a price that big is jarring but companies aren't magic either, i agree that Nerf has been over pricing blasters but this is just something i can't agree with given all of the work and effort that's been put into making it a good product while also trying to keep it as cheap as it can be
With the Accustrike gimmicks, I'm surprised they went with the Battle Camo Stryfe instead of the Accustryfe. But then again, it seems like flywheel blasters are kind of antithetical to the Accustryke shtick.
Yeah, it's kind of weird that Nerf put the "Orange Rapidstrike" or Stratohawk in that line. I love the battlecamo look, and I wish they put the stryfe in Accustrike, and made a BattleCamo Rapidstrike! It would look pretty sick.
@@RealBeanMan I know I'm a little late, but putting an orange stock, one of the Modulus style fake scopes and a faux-barrel on an OJ Stryfe before loading a 12 dart magazine with Accustrikes would pretty much do that.
Great video, Drac. Just curious, would you be able to do a comparison between identical blasters where one has been primed for a long time verses a fresh spring? I keep running into that problem, too.

@@James_Mular fair contention. Thats why I like the idea of testing just how much it can effect the spring. Id love to see drac do this. Hes in a good place to perform this test for the community
Here I thought my Alphatrooper being primed was just a random accident. Same thing, ordered online and when it came it was primed. I have never been so damn disappointed in a purchase before. Out of the box the first shot got an amazing 10 feet range. A replacement spring fixed it, but its still bullshit I had to shell out more money due to shipping incompetence.
