    I cant say enough good things about the S70. I've been in the Landscaping and hardscapng business for 34 years and bought a S70 machine 5 years ago. It is a like saver on your back in tight spots(less manual digging) and it is a very versatile machine. Yes I agree with other comments that the S70 is NOT a good machine when your dealing with wet conditions or ruts in lawn areas. The track machines are the way to go in that application but if you are not a young fellow like me, I would rather sit in a machine then stand on one for 5-8 hours. Just my opinion.

    I really appreciate comments like “if I went back and started over this would be the first purchase.” That’s a comment that pushes me to buy one as my first bobcat.

    You set the standards for cement contractors. The rest of them on UA-cam are just laborers. You operate and have your own equipment. The one thing the rest of these failures need to realize is you have to invest in your business / yourself, and you always look at the big picture / payback. This proves you are the best in the west from a concrete contractor and a businessman.

    My company has used bobcats exclusively for the last 20 years, both excavators and SKID Steers, but I’ve been watching you operate that case and I’ll tell you what, for a rubber tire machine that’s bad ass. You’re a pretty damn good operator-I watch the way you keep your work area clean, keep everything smooth. I watched you dig in that photo where you were cutting out the wall and you dug the front edge of your footer first-why would you do that instead of taking out the back and then digging the front edge? you kept driving over the cut edge. good video!

    • @WestCoastCustomConcrete
      @WestCoastCustomConcrete  4 роки тому +4

      Thanks bro. I originally started to dig the footing perpendicular with the hillside but eventually got stuck. It rained for a week straight prior to the excavation and the soil was super expansive.

    Is there any advantages or disadvantages between this and a ditch witch type machine?

    • @WestCoastCustomConcrete
      @WestCoastCustomConcrete  5 років тому +14

      A ditch witch is for light duty and landscaping. A bobcat is ideal for heavier work.

    • @GardenGateLawn
      @GardenGateLawn 5 років тому

      I have to kindly disagree. I owned a s70 for many years and it was a great machine. However we did make the switch to a ditch witch sk600 I have not found 1 thing my ditch witch won't do that my s70 did. However my ditch witch is way more stable and less tippy. You can clearly see it in the video and that's on level ground. Also I find even more handy in tight spots plus it floats over turf and mud with ease since its on tracks. Not a concrete guy but a hardscaper in the landscape industry. We work our machine hard and we remove our fair share of concrete. Just my 2 cents.

    • @Michaelzeleznik4765
      @Michaelzeleznik4765 5 років тому

      @@GardenGateLawn Good to hear! I'm definitely leaning towards the ditch witch, just thought I'd pop the question cuz there's a basically brand new s70 fully heated cab, bucket, forks, Harley rake, etc... 200hrs for $18,000 20 minutes from me. The DW looks much better for the landscaping application, but damn are they expensive.

    • @GardenGateLawn
      @GardenGateLawn 5 років тому

      Michael Zeleznik I hear you but they are worth every penny. I wish I would of switched sooner. I really wanted the wanted sk800 but didn't want to spend the extra money. They sold me a sk600 brand new for 22,900 before tax with a bucket. S70 also ruts yards bad ditch has low psi.
