That's why I love history. Every time you think you know something new things will come up. I think India as a country needs to start developing its own labs with highly advanced equipment also we now need to introduce history in engineering subjects too. It's time we start using science and tech very seriously so that we can reduce the time and increase the findings.
The southern part always intrigued me not because of the small lessons we learned in our NCERT books but because of their connectivity to the different nations in their golden age. Also, the navy they had at that point of time tells a lot about their development. This country is way way older than what we think and we were developed in the whole parts of Bharata .

Practically Tamil language will be much older than Sangam period. First people should understand what is sangam and why it is needed. Sangam in Tamil means high level meetings, conferences and debates etc. Carried out with kings, poets, creators, subject matter experts in all fields in Tamil language. And what was the necessity to do that? Because Tamil was already very old language and intention is to save the language from other new language influences that's the reason sangam was performed. So by common sense limiting the age of Tamil within Sangam age is completely wrong. Tamil should be dated back even before IVC. And even related with IVC. Some places mentioned in sangam poems never existed in Tamil Nadu but it is there in Pakistan and Afghanistan IVC sites. Sangam poem represent the life of Tamil people in that area.

Kindly go through in depth about ," Tholkappium "
This is the oldest Tamil book available which is dated between 300 BC to 200BC.
I am from Madurai and my school was just 500 metres away from the great Tamil Sangam, where annual literary conferences and competitions were held.
Modern days use technology to ascertain the age by carbon dating etc.
But my Tamil professor had his own method of determining the age of Tamil.
First we have to remember is "Tholkappiyam " is a Grammar book.
Also it is a revision. The book says as the old Grammar book of " Agattium " written by Agastiyar Sage is no more valid and the Grammar has to be revised.
Now we have to see how a language develops. Human initially convey by signs. Later with sounds...usually mono syllable.
Then di syllable, tri syllable. So first stage in development is Words.
    Words followers sentences.
Remember each stage might take few centuries..
After sentences form prose...combinations of sentences to convey meaning.
As human start using extensive prose , will be bored and go for poetry.
When many poets start written poems in their own way, decide to write a code, or Grammar books which everyone must follow.
Grammar is the ultimate stage in the development of a language.
So if Tamil had a Grammar book 2300 years ago, just guess the age of Tamil.
Can anyone tell me the age of Hindi Grammar book and the name and Authour of the Hindi Grammar book?

      @bala7483 Рік тому +19

      @@2005Navina hello uncle,
The earliest form of Sanskrit is that used in the Rig Veda (called Old Indic or Rigvedic Sanskrit). Amazingly, Rigvedic Sanskrit was first recorded in inscriptions found not on the plains of India but in what is now northern Syria.
Between 1500 and 1350 BC, a dynasty called the Mitanni ruled over the upper Euphrates-Tigris basin, land that corresponds to what are now the countries of Syria, Iraq, and Turkey. The Mitannis spoke a language called Hurrian, unrelated to Sanskrit. However, each and every Mitanni king had a Sanskrit name and so did many of the local elites. Names include Purusa (meaning “man”), Tusratta (“having an attacking chariot”), Suvardata (“given by the heavens”), Indrota (“helped by Indra”) and Subandhu, a name that exists till today in India.
The Mitanni had a culture, which, like the Vedic people, highly revered chariot warfare. A Mitanni horse-training manual, the oldest such document in the world, uses a number of Sanskrit words: aika (one), tera (three), satta (seven) and asua (ashva, meaning “horse”). Moreover, the Mitanni military aristocracy was composed of chariot warriors called “maryanna”, from the Sanskrit word "marya", meaning “young man”.
The Mitanni worshipped the same gods as those in the Rig Veda (but also had their own local ones). They signed a treaty with a rival king in 1380 BC which names Indra, Varuna, Mitra and the Nasatyas (Ashvins) as divine witnesses for the Mitannis. While modern-day Hindus have mostly stopped the worship of these deities, these Mitanni gods were also the most important gods in the Rig Veda.
      Hindutvas Sanskrit’s rich history??
Unfortunately, while their language, religion and culture is celebrated, the history of the Indo-European people who brought Sanskrit into the subcontinent is sought to be erased at the altar of cultural nationalism. Popular national myths in India urgently paint Sanskrit as completely indigenous to India. This is critical given how the dominant Hindutva ideology treats geographical indigenousness as a prerequisite for nationality. If Sanskrit, the liturgical language of Hinduism, has a history that predates its arrival in India, that really does pull the rug from out under the feet of Hindutva.
Both national myths, whether Arab or Sanskrit, attempt to imagine a pure, pristine origin culture uncontaminated by unsavoury influences. Unfortunately the real world is very often messier than myth. Pakistanis are not Arabs and, as the Encyclopedia of Indo-European Culture rather bluntly puts it: “This theory [that Sanskrit and its ancestor Proto-Indo-European was indigenous to India], which resurrects some of the earliest speculations on the origins of the Indo-Europeans, has not a shred of supporting evidence, either linguistic or archeological”.

Such people have been responsible for the cover-up of such findings across the country. Even their daating reports are fudged and do not reflect the actual period of antiquity. Now we see a definite change in the ASI department to really open up such sites and excavate. It needs huge funds for such works and budgetary allocations are being provided on case basis.

Many people don't know but the Indus valley civilization is divided into 3 major eras.
The earliest era dating back to the Neolithic age (New stone age).
But the proper golden age of Indus valley is said to achieve around 1300 B.C when it properly entered into the bronze age.
Ancient Sumerians were the first to develop metal smelting and entered the Bronze age. Indus valley as a direct trade subsidiary followed after it.

Nobody just poped into existence out of the thin air.
There was always migration, even in the pre-historic era.
But it is a fact that certain groups remained in their local area long enough to develop distinctive racial features.
There is a reason an African, Chinese and European person looks apart.
You cannot deny the biological difference that is visible to everyone.
So a Dravidian is still more native to any other migratory group because they developed local racial features according to their environment.

According to Tamil legends, Arjuna marries the queen of Pāndya Kingdom.
According to Tamil legends of the Sangam era, Alli Arasani was the only child of the Pāndya king. She learnt Yuddhavidyā in a Gurukula. Once Neenmughan (Nilamukha) usurped Pāndyan Kingdom but Alli Arasani led the Pāndyan army and killed Neenmughan. Thus, she succeeded her father and became the queen of Then Madurai (ancient Madurai that was submerged by the sea). She reigned over the Pāndya Kingdom, extended up to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was well connected through land route and Tāmraparṇi River of the Pāndya Kingdom used to flow into Sri Lanka before 7000 BCE. Arjuna came to Madurai following the Aśvamedha horse. He
wanted to marry Alli Arasani but she sent the Nāgas to kill him. Arjuna somehow entered the palace of Alli Arasani in the guise of a Nāga and slept with her. He also tied Tāli on her. Finally, Arjuna succeeded in marrying Alli Arasani. Alli Arasani was also considered to be an incarnation of Mīnākśī.
Interestingly, ancient Tamil Sangam sources refer to the date of Rishi Agastya and the first Sangam around 11226 BCE, which perfectly reconciles with the archaeo-astronomical dating of Vedic and post-Vedic literature.

Panini clearly indicates the three distinct stages of the evolution of Sanskrit i.e. Chandas (up to 10000 BCE), Samhita (10000-7000 BCE) and Bhāshā (7000 BCE onwards). The Sanskrit of Chandas was the Vedic language of Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda. During the period of Chandas Sanskrit, the grammar was limited to the rules of Sandhi and context free grammar only. The language of some suktas of Atharvaveda belonged to the transition period (11000-9000 BCE) of Chandas Sanskrit and Samhita Sanskrit. All Brahmanas and Upanishads have been written in Samhitā Sanskrit around 10000-7500 BCE. During the period from 10000 BCE to 8000 BCE, Sanskrit grammar has been evolved to an advanced stage. Consequently, Bhāshā Sanskrit came into
existence around 7500 BCE. All texts written in Sutra style or Laukika Anushtup meter had been composed after 7500 BCE

After Mandhaata there was a division. In the Ikshvaku dynasty, only the eldest son ascended the throne.
