You need at least the lbody tag. The main purpose is for how it's communicated to assistive technology. It's also because of accessibility standards that I try to follow like PDF UA as an example.
Great tutorial! I did the same and ran it through the reader, but it kept reading out the bullet punctuation (it reades my bullet ">" as N G T N G T which is so annoying). How do I stop it from reading out the bullet? Thanks
If you are using the Adobe read aloud feature, you should know that it is extremely buggy and is not considered a screen reader and should not be used for testing the accessibility of your documents
Why can't you just tag the bullet point and body with a single tag? Do you really need that level of granularity with the Lbl and Lbody tags?

How would I add a figure in a nested list? Would it go inside or outside of the tag?
It would go inside of the LBody tag yes.
@@TheAccessibilityGuy Thanks so much!! Your videos are very helpful.

Hi, do we follow the same process for numbered lists? Thank you!
Yes it's the exact same process.
What if the list extends to the nest page or 2? How do you merge a single list across multiple pages? Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply! Same idea, the tags just keep goin. Nothing special about multi page lists really
I wish we could copy and paste empty tags...
But that would make our lives so much easier. They couldn't possibly add that feature 😂
Adobe Acrobat accessibility needs some insane changes. This is too complicated. Not user friendly at all. Why must the bullets be tagged separately?
Could not agree more.
