I cant say for sure, but I believe both are just only visible to you. For shiny drops, they just last forever for you. Boxes is probably just visible to you. Always stay mindful when using mods in Multiplayer!
I can confirm, only the one with the mod reaps the benefits. The shinies for example do not stay forever on the ground for others nor can others see the icon you have set up for your drops.
Technically, yes. Has anyone been banned? no. From all the people I know that are modding, no one has ever reported of being banned. As long as you don't use mods that alter gameplay experience online with others (one shot weapons for example) you should be safe using mods. I have personally used mods for over thousand of hours in World and Rise without any problem.

Awesome video and mods but to name a few like Permanent Shiny Drops and Camp Item Boxes, how would it work if played in multiplayer?
