Just watched the desk build video. Dude, that was fucking incredible. You're seriously talented. Please, keep doing what you're doing. I'm from a small town in the US, you're spreading very quickly!
Nice to see a video update of your computer desk. I just love to see what's going on with your setup plus I love your cube plug adaptor or whatever you call it under your desk. Wish I can find one here. Keep it up brother.
My guy, when I found your build video a few days ago, I was totally staggered. Your production was so perfect when it came to pacing and storytelling, which added so much to the final product. You're well on your way to becoming a fucking dope UA-camr. I've never subscribed so fast, nor felt so justified in doing so. Please keep this up, I love your content.
Now what will you do with over 5k followers? haha. I've gone and looked at some of your other films and I like them man, you're entertaining and your editing pace & style is nice. Keep up the work Bru!
Nice video, the shipped paint imo looks great with the rustic theme... Also, your pc should be fine, i have about the same distance from the wall (and no door on the front) and i haven't had any problems yet, i like to say it keeps the dust out! :D
You are a very talented young man..... you are inspiring...I've always thought of building something... but my brain is very scattered...not very well focused and well my patience are kind of short. One I will have to give it a try one day.
The desk build brought me to your channel, the dress build got me to sub. This video convinced me I made the right choice. Keep up the good work young man. You are great. =)
I liked to watch the desks build video. I was amazed with the skill you build this desk with. Its a very cool desk indeed, i like it. Happy to see the update video. Keep going man! :)
just go to Edit, Subtitles/CC and turn on the "Community contributions" options. so anyone can translate your videos to you, I think you the option to approve after someone send an translation. (= cheers from Brazil.
The quality is unfuckingreal for the amount of subscribers you have. I can tell your one of few who love and are so pationate about UA-cam. Keep up the great work
The title to your desk build video should be "Badass craftsman builds giant custom computer desk out of steel and wood". Seriously dude, anyone who talks smack on this build is a chump. It's a fine job and exactly what you want which is what's most important. More young men your age need to do this sort of thing. I'm really glad to see that some still do.
Small suggestion based on the phone charger: if you're not a fan of it hanging down (I hate my cables hanging personally) glue a small magnet to the end of it so it attaches to the frame when not in use. Love the build and vids!
Hey man, I recommend a fine-grain sanding block and some elbow grease on acetate sheets to go over your LED strips; they create an amazing softening effect while minimally dampening the lighting strength. Give it a go if you'd like, you could probably just cut and glue some sheets into your holes due to how deep you cut them for the strips. (Keep in my mind heat from lights)
Yo, man i'm frm brazil, and, i don't know why, your video just shows up in my recommendeds. i would like to thank youtube for the recommendation, and thank you for the amazing video. Ur fun, humble n I know u gonna be a MONSTER someday. Leaving a hug from the other side of the world, bye!
Thanks for the mention. Now that I know your renting and on the second floor I agree that getting in through the window wasn't possible. Where I work we had to cut a hole in the roof to bring a transformer into to our data centre using a crane. That was fun. For the edge of my desk I painted it with a pvc rubber like paint that leaves a thick textured coating. It eventually wears off but lasts a lot longer. Speaker stands look great. I also have a "bowling pin" style cable clip for retaining cables the I am not using.
No problem friend, thanks for watching. :) Damn!! That sounds like an absolute nightmare! Great advice on the paint, and thankyou for the compliments :)
When your doing things corporate opening the roof is just another corporate expense. LOL! I am working on a desk fr a friend. She found a metal frame and I have to make a top for it. I want to do 1" Walnut but am not sure if it is in her budget! The top will be about 700 - 900 $CDN but it will be pretty when I put a hand rubbed tongue oil finish on it (8 or nine lovingly applied coats with micro sanding and buffing in between. I have done this with a bo-staff but have not tried this technique on larger pieces. The tongue oil soaks in and hardens and makes the top hard as nails. It also makes it pretty much water proof. Any problems..sand and recoat.
Wow, I'm so late to the party, glad I found this channel though. Designing and building my own desk has always been a goal of mine but I'm in Jamaica so raw materials and tools are pretty expensive. Anyway keep it up, I love the desk, forget the nay sayers, if you build it they will come, needless to say that can go both ways.
Best thing I've found to diffuse the led light strips is some translucent silicon caulking. Just pour it in the gap and let it dry, super easy and cheap to install.
wow... i just watch ultimate desk video on my bed but still can not going sleep... because i love how your DIY video... kinda satisfaction from sound and fast-forwarding style... also you have a vibe like that Britain youtuber collinfuze...
Dude. People who want to work with you to "increase your subscriber count" are usually in it for some kinda fame themselves. Sure, if you want I could easily translate what you're saying in Dutch. Or even German. But English in itself is a pretty well known language. I think it's pretty safe to say that it is the one international language throughout the entire world. My opinion, the chipped paint adds a bit of character to the desk. But that's me finding charm into seeing used items. If you agree, just grab some sandpaper and scrape through some black paint :P I'm liking the updates, and the dog is lovely
If you get clear plexiglass for the LED slot, you can sand it down for a translucent effect. Alternatively, you can go to anywhere that rents filmmaking gear and get specially made diffusion film for relatively cheap.
have you got one of those tent mats the thin foam type cut and glue over the metal in your work area. there are vids about mounting screens on your desk your tube ends get some a bit thicker and mount them that way like a T piece that holds 2 screens just search on the tube to find them good luck you did well. For a while you'll change bits and pieces but that’s all part of learning.
about the paint.... primer will not help in the long run. You need a clear protective top coat. Use a non gloss polyurethane clear coat. Put several coat on. The clear will wear, not the paint. Also, more cats of paint will help also. There are also chemical etching compounds that can be applied. I'm digging the design !! You s[peaker stands gave me an idea for stands on my desk top as well.
yup for the paint use a self etching primer. i use SEM brand but im not sure what you have available. before you respray anything give it a good sanding and wipe it down with a tac rag after cleaning it with degreaser
I would also like to translate your video. I am from America. I can translate English to English and ebonics if needed. I also know how to just use google translate. :D your desk is what helped inspire me in making my wife's. Btw, Great job.
hey man i have a suggestion for your desk, since you are pretty good at wood working you should build some custom enclosures for your speakers to match the materials of your desk, you could just use the guts of the bose speakers, or if you want to try what i did, i actually mounted a car amplifier under my monitor stand and use that to control the speakers
As for a diffuser material you might try surplus strips of the opaque material they use in commercial florescent ceiling and cutting it into strips you should be able to find it cheap/free. Or you you could sand some plexiglas with 80 or 120 grit sandpaper.
I'm tempted to try and build something like this originally I was just going to get a slab of wood and put four legs on it but I dunno something about this just seems like a better option
Desk - "A piece of furniture with a flat or sloping surface and typically with drawers, at which one can read, write, or do other work." Technically your plan classifies as a desk still ;) Although why stop there! :D
Now that u know more about making the REAL ultimate desk, how about making a PC mounted into the desk? ;) Great job on yours already! Greetings from Brazil! o/
Could fill over your leds with clear silicone to diffuse the light and if thats not enough you could put some wax paper or parchment paper between layers of silicone. Inexpensive hack.
you should use a stereo receiver with a sub and with surround speakers. And then you'll have the ultimate desk and multimedia spot. I found my stereo in a secondhand store and don't know they have those in your country with electronics? From the US thanks
Any particular reason why you mounted the boom mic to the top of the desk? Was thinking it might be better attached to the underside of the shelf, that way the arm shouldn't hid the monitors when moving around. EDIT: Always happy to subscribe to people with good content, doesn't hurt that you're a fellow Aussie :D (Sydney here)
1: You can place a link in this video's description, so folks can go directly to the original desk video. 2: You've got some neat videos, but you're not the Beatles yet. Need to work on the videography. 3: It's your room and your life, but you are putting it on display so anyone in the world can see it. The "ASSMAN" license plate could have you kicking yourself in the ass sooner rather than later. 4: Love your desk. Neat speaker pedestals. Congrats on the new keyboard tray. 5: You could place one of those thin rubberized mats in front of your monitors, which would cover the metal and paint issue.
Ultimate computer desk wouldn't have a fancy top--just solid, smooth wood--as it would be covered in dry-erase vinyl to make it a white board. Also, no cabinet for a PC. Sure, your current one may run cool, but it's not hard to build a system that would want as much airflow as physically possible to prolong component life. I'm going to build my own desk and I'm considering slinging a shelf under the back instead of over to hide routers, hubs, and speakers. I'm tempted to figure out a way to integrate wireless charging into it as well.
+Scrivscribe Could you please give us ur table detailed dimension (hight x width x length etc) please? Ur table is amazing. I'd like to make one for me.

Nice to see a video update of your computer desk. I just love to see what's going on with your setup plus I love your cube plug adaptor or whatever you call it under your desk. Wish I can find one here. Keep it up brother.
The chipped edge on the front of the desk I feel gives it character, an aged look and feel.
Aww dang, you're making my eyes water! Thankyou so much friend, very happy to have you on board :) :)
Now what will you do with over 5k followers? haha. I've gone and looked at some of your other films and I like them man, you're entertaining and your editing pace & style is nice. Keep up the work Bru!
The chipped paint looks industrial and used. It's a kickass effect.
Nice video, the shipped paint imo looks great with the rustic theme... Also, your pc should be fine, i have about the same distance from the wall (and no door on the front) and i haven't had any problems yet, i like to say it keeps the dust out! :D
great video great desk love the speaker stands

Great your channel is doing well. Not surprised you get 95% positive feedback, as at least 95% of your content is awesome.

Thank you very much for the update
edit: please make another project just like that table.
5:06 I also have a crystal head bottle ornamenting my desk. I silver plated the inside of my bottle though, so it looks even cooler.
Hi from the U.S! Great work. Great setup you have. Oh, and Rage against the machine is awesome!
Hey there buddy! Glad you like it, rock on brother :D

Very cool desk bro, i feel like the chipped paint actually adds to your original theme of an industrial look. Looks good!
I'll have to start telling people I did that on purpose! :p
I agree! I love the chipped look. Amazing.

hello there... I’m your newest subscriber, keep it up because I really like the way you did your videos specially on how you made the desk 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have one thing to say: Great music taste!
Thanks for the mention. Now that I know your renting and on the second floor I agree that getting in through the window wasn't possible. increase your *scrivscriber* count
It would be nice to have a monitor mount, a North Bayou F80n would be great!
awesome build! You should make an intro with your logo-- maybe not go overboard like Diresta does lol
Mate, that was sick looking desk.really amazing looking desk and nice builds.job well done, mate.Cheers!!
Def inspired me to start designing my own desk!

I appreciate your choice in wall art. 5:45
MrMonochromatic hahaha, "I WAS IN THE POOL!!"
primer/paint is a great idea. but for better durability I would suggest a nice powder coat on the metal
i don't know why but i like your personalities haha so i subscribed
I'm tempted to try and build something like this originally I was just going to get a slab of wood and put four legs on it but I dunno something about this just seems like a better option

Scrivscribe I feel bad now lmao my parents just brought me a desk.. I guess I will wait a few years but now my chair is too small..
Great build ! I assume you are a Diresta fan, judging by a few things in your clips?
Thumbs up to Russel Coight, RATM, Blue Tongues and your dog.
for the LED's. Get some perspex acrylic cur out. sand it down with like a 400grit sand paper
Now that u know more about making the REAL ultimate desk, how about making a PC mounted into the desk? ;)
Great job on yours already! Greetings from Brazil! o/
Congrats, lots of guys in your age can’t do a simple sandwich, brilliant and smart! Get your "like" and I’m suscribe in your Chanel !
RAGM for the win. Consider wall mounting the screens to the vertical wood backs, it would give you more desk space, less clutter. Good Job.
Cn somwon plz translat "Use the windo' into HINDI???
watched ur one vid of the pc desk build and loved it u should also do some gameplay videos
विंडो 'का प्रयोग करें
vindo ka prayog karen
I'm happy to give it a go! Any game suggestions?
players unknown battleground been getting good view on most channels

the build of your desk was on the front page of youtube :)
Trust me, you should apply for TechSource :D
Okay okay!! Quit naggin! :p
Scrivscribe Sorry. It Was not on porpouse :)
GREAT BUILD MAN I LIKE YOUR THINKING .
Im actually planing to build my own desk, just dont have the money.
You could vinyl wrap the edges with carbon vinyl or some vinyl with some texture,
instead of repainting the desk :-)
Keep up the good work :D
its a nice desk i really want one
Primer, sure. But you should have also used poly, or some other protective coating after painting.
I subbed man, awesome video!
Jack your chair up for your arms to work at that desk height and get a footrest. Way better than the slideout for gaming.
you should use a stereo receiver with a sub and with surround speakers. And then you'll have the ultimate desk and multimedia spot. I found my stereo in a secondhand store and don't know they have those in your country with electronics? From the US thanks
Dude you made me discover C2C! Greetings froms Argentina! I'm not going to translate your vids to spanish tho...
Any particular reason why you mounted the boom mic to the top of the desk? Was thinking it might be better attached to the underside of the shelf, that way the arm shouldn't hid the monitors when moving around.
EDIT: Always happy to subscribe to people with good content, doesn't hurt that you're a fellow Aussie :D (Sydney here)
You could easily change the height of the desk by chopping more off the top of the legs. Take the top off, cut legs down, put top back on.
Hey man, you are hella funny and deserve way more subs. Keep on making them videos and you will get famous.. Might even attract better translatores.
1: You can place a link in this video's description, so folks can go directly to the original desk video. 2: You've got some neat videos, but you're not the Beatles yet. metal is oil coated to prevent rust.. did you remember to remove that before painting?
Proud of you bro!
I knew it, there is something wrong with the table height when i watch your first video
the opening music background sounds so familiar.. that the bali traditional music from my country INDONESIA... good job
YOU sir have an excellent ear! It just seemed fitting :)
how about puting a lights behind your 2 king post. just a an idea ^^
Good “Content” dude! Liked & sub
I got a USB with rage against the machine on it and AC/DC its amazing school is fun now
Man but, the high of the desk was obvius on the fisrt time I saw the video and also that the metal would be uncomfortable, why didn't you think it?
When your lens is that dirty your camera decides to put it in focus. great video though!
Scrivscribe, you have already cut steel frame once before to fit it into the room, so could you not cut it some more to reduce height?
when you increased your volume at 7:09 i decreased my volume lmao
+Scrivscribe
Could you please give us ur table detailed dimension (hight x width x length etc) please? Ur table is amazing. I'd like to make one for me.
