I bought some jalapeno and habaneros, chopped them up, boiled and seeped them in a couple gallons of water for 30 min. After that, I poured it into a garden pump spray with a squirt of dishsoap and sprayed my roof and the edges as well as under the roof ledge. Haven't seen a squirrel within 30 ft of my property since I sprayed. It's been a good month.

LOL I'd like to hear now about all of these people saying how great their repellent is. In the long run, they don't work, doesn't matter what you use, how often, the smell will just go away, and they will just keep coming back until you go crazy. The things is even if you keep them out long enough and patch the holes, they become very agitated as they know there is a space there so they'll make their way in again somewhere else.
You need to treat the pests in the old fashioned way as you would do with rats. Then seal your house and the new ones won't know there is a space in there. Your welcome

I hate to rain on your parade, but I had a new roof and capped the soffits and all wood about 7 months ago. I also sprayed half a bottle of repellant on the wood areas where they had been entering before it was capped. This morning I heard the familiar gnawing of wood in the same area where they entered before. The little buggers chewed a huge hole in my siding and worked their way under the capping. This is 7 months later and they obviously didn’t forget. The damage is not where I can get to it so I’ll have to pay a fortune to have it repaired. This time I’m going to have my repair men coat the wood in a hot pepper Vaseline mixture before they, once again cap the area. Although I don’t know how I’m going to stop them from eating my siding.

Thanks for this! I don't often get squirrels in my attic (partly because my attic is freezing cold in winter, I live in northern New Hampshire, my attic is like 36 degrees or colder in winter), I just go up in the attic every Sunday (or every time I hear noise in the attic) and make noise (air horn, clapping my hands, and yelling "HEY SQUIRREL! GET OUT OF MY ATTIC"). The fact that my attic being so cold makes it unwelcoming to squirrels is part of why I never bothered getting someone to look at making it less drafty in winter. Only downside is I can't store things with water up there, I learned my lesson on that when I tried to store a bottle of champagne up there once to keep it cold. One night I was woken up by a loud BOOM, went up to the attic, and noticed Old Man Winter decided to teach me a lesson in respect for the cold and not using my attic as a refrigerator. I never did that again.

Thanks for your video! I'm in SC, and I'm going through this right now. I ordered fox urine, a radio, and strobe lights! We'll see what happens. I've also played UA-cam videos of foxes, coyotes, and wolves, plus one that has this specific weird sound to scare squirrels. Honestly, I love squirrels, but I can't have them in my attic potentially doing serious damage and/or spreading serious diseases to humans and pets. I need to get them out ASAP because babies are born in early February, and I don't want things to get complicated. I do enjoy watching them swing through our 100-ft tall trees, though. They're so cool to watch!

We got squirrels all over our neighborhood. Run over or alive. Im thinking its due to the age of the neighborhood and large trees.
There's so many. We rescued a few babies. Darn dog brought a newborn in. Didnt hurt it judt put in his dog bed and stared at it. We took it to a rescue place. They raised it and set it free. Come to find out the damn animal lived a long full life. I can imagine who's attic he's in.

You wouldn't believe the trouble I've been having with this pesky squirrel lately. It's been driving me absolutely nuts for days. I've tried scaring it off with my BB gun, but all I've managed to do is give it a few scratches. Four days have gone by, and my patience is wearing thin.
This little troublemaker has already caused about $200 in damages to my house, gnawing on things and making a mess. I'm so fed up that I've even considered going out into the street with my BB gun and putting an end to this squirrelly situation for good. But then I remembered that in New Jersey, it's highly illegal to wield weapons, including BB guns, in public spaces like the street. Doing so could lead to my neighbors calling the cops on me, and I definitely don't want that kind of trouble.
Just today, I saw it sitting in the middle of the street, staring right at me through my window. It felt like it was challenging me or something. I can't figure out why it's so set on staying in my house when there are other neighbors who wouldn't even bother trying to get rid of it. I've shot at it five times already, but it just won't give up. Honestly, I'm starting to feel like I need to find a legal and safe way to deal with this squirrel and put an end to this once and for all.

Did they make a big mess in your attic? Could you smell it from inside your house? I'm dealing with what apparently seem like old squirrel nests in my attic, and I'm hoping they're the source of a smell I've been smelling since I moved in. I have to have all the insulation removed and replaced, but the company who came to look at it said there had obviously been holes patched with wire so the squirrels couldn't get back in, but the nests and contaminated insulation had been left by a previous owner.
