After spending 3 days in Singapore, we hop onto a bus in order to cross the boarder to Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Johor Bahru is the 2nd largest city in Malaysia and very close to Singapore. It is a place that many people travel too from Singapore for cheaper accommodation and massages.
This is the first time we will cross borders during our travels on UA-cam, which is pretty exciting. In this video we show you the entire process.

We were in Singapore back in January, this video brought back some lovely memories. We stayed in the Village Hotel Bugis right opposite the 711! And used the exact same route to go over to Johor Bahru for a short trip.
Normally luggage can be kept at luggage bay near the back wheel. Since there are not many passengers the driver didn't stop you from boarding(to save time). Congratulations, you just crossed the Straits of Johor which is connected to the Straits of Malacca. Prices are one third of Singapore.

There's no "No Man's Land" as the Causeway is divided equally between Singapore and Malaysian territories. So technically, it does not have a No Man's Land there.

@@grego4835 The peak hours are usually weekends. The most fuss free way in my opinion is to use the KTM train shuttle service where the is a dedicated queue for train passengers. However you will likely need to buy tickets in advance as they are popular and the ticketing website is not the easiest to navigate

Now that you made it to Malaysia..enjoy the beautiful vibrant land.. do visit Penang and Langkawi..they are one of the top places to explore in Malaysia.
We have used the train from Jb into Singapore , 5 min ride to the Woodlands check point

Did you take a visa to go to Malaysia from Singapore?
This video is not only useful but also entertaining! How long did it take for your guys to pass through the Singapore immigration and the JB immigration? I’ve read about it online and lots of people say that it will cost you 3 to 4 hours. Because of that, I consider to book the border taxi hence it only take 2 hours (immigration process included) from SG to JB but the price is pretty expensive, around 80 SGD (from online source)…
No, the process was very simple and quick, we went through both borders in under an hour😁 we highly recommend taking the bus👍

Not really whole of malaysia, eastside or sabah and sarawak in borneo island is the biggest part of malaysia... Btw, welcome to malaysia... Enjoy your stay here. Lots of contents waiting for you especially in kuala lumpur, melaka, penang, genting highland, sabah etc... Foods, Islands, beaches, mountains, cities, caves, flora and fauna etc.

Amazing experience. Just one comment, and please don't get me wrong. You are adult already and it is a "common knowledge" that filming on Immigration premises is not allowed. There are even signs that shows this and yet you still do it. Please don't play dumb that you didn't see it or you were not aware. You are probably lucky that some immigration officers will just give you a warning, but one day if you keep doing this, you will encounter an officer who will confiscate your camera and charge you with an offense. You know what that means, you have now a record in your passport that says you were denied entry to this country.
But you guys are planning going to North Korea, Iran or Israel. Why this awful 😞 countrys

Be careful of travelling between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok some night buses have kids hiding in them that go through people's bags while you sleep. Super excited for upcoming travels though! :)

At the very least between Bangkok and Surat Thani region, not sure how far south they go but I'd still be careful. I think Dan and Leanne generally travel during the day so they should be fine. :)

Recommend taking a ferry to Langkawi from Penang & rent a self drive car while in Langkawi to explore places. Its pretty cheap to rent a car in Langkawi.

U guys tried Char koey thiaw in another posting. That was wet char koey thiaw. There is also dry char koey thiaw. Have this dish with prawns, cockels & Chinese pork sausage ( commonly known as 'lapcheong' ) This dish is sold by Chinese hawker since it contains pork. Malay hawker will not sell this dish. This is one of Malaysia's top hawker food dish. Penang has the best !

Don't try to do the border crossing on a Saturday or Sunday, you might be stuck for hours. Also peak time morning and evening hours are always hectic.
