"John Stossel Apostles with Colossal Fossils" Impressive, most impressive.
Just found this channel. I’ve been addicted the past 48 hours. Great channel.
I never will forget the chapter that they travel back in time and teached King Arthur how to make BEER!!!! I was lucky to be a kid on the 90's, the cartoon was top notch and the toys was rad as well, since I'm not from the US the toys as expensive as shit, I always wanted to have a Vinnie and his bike.
I love so much this game, I think that it deserve a remake treatment like they did with Wild Guns and Ninja Warriors, I believe that Limburger and Vinnie are the most broken characters of this game, latter is Throttle. A thing that most people never noticed are that the good and evil characters will ignore you if you're also a good or evil character until you shoot one of them.
William Zeo i know man the toys were awesome! i had vinnie & throttle but i never had the bikes 😢
There's actually some new 3rd party companies that make new figures with the bikes... Or 4th party ones (ko's) which can look presentable if you paint them.
Damn I would love to talk to the Writer wild enough to slip booze into a 90s Saturday morning cartoon show...cheers
@@TheZackofSpades
Yeah that does blow me away.
I honestly can't believe it that's just amazing they snuck that through.
@@adrenalinex4 oh man, those action figures were my favorite toys for a long while as a kid. Had all 3 mice but no bikes either. I vividly remember having them fight my Dragon Ball Figures WWE style.
This is easily one of the hidden gems of the SNES
My dad even played when o was like 9
Got my copy in 2006 shortly after I started college, VERY HAPPY with it!
You mean forgotten
Funfact: The first track you race has a soundtrack that is a snesification of Judas priest "Riding on the wind" .
Awesome game that i recommend it for everyone.
Judas priest I'm sold
Judas Priest was one of John Stossell’s apostles
Man!!!! I always thought that song sounded familiar.... you just blew my mind
Damn, it's almost the same damn song! Thanks!
I really love your enthusiasm and positivity. There’s a lot of gaming content that’s just about insulting and hating things, and that starts really pull you down after a while. So thanks for what you add to my day.
4:53 "Thanks for buying our $50 game about futuristic mice fighting greedy industrialists, now watch these snickers ads" wow this game is so 90s
Reminds me of TMNT 2 Arcade on NES with the Pizza Hut ads everywhere. There was a time product placement like that annoyed me but I find it weirdly charming now.
I remember realising what " from Mars" really meant when I saw those in this game at the time. Ugly product placement.
@@perunplague9794 Yeah. Product placement tends to be too intrusive and hard to justify. However, at the very least, it makes sense, in the TMNT universe, since the main characters are addicted to pizza.
The Game still cost 50 uss today
i'm a professional subtitler who had to watch a whole lot of BMM a couple of years ago for work, i was surprised by how well the show held up from my memories as an 8yo lolol. looks like i might have to check out the game too!
You do pro subs? Cool! What shows have you worked on? How did you get your start? Did you ever make fansubs before working?
John Stosell's Apostles with Collosal Fossils? I'd watch the hell out of that series!
Absolutely love this game as a kid!!! Born in 1986!!! Had a blast 💥 of biker Mars!! Remember me an my lil brother will rent this game from block buster, and play play an play all day
3:45 - "I would start with Throttle or Modo as they are the most balanced."
LOL! Modo is actually very OP and so broken. His bionic crash serves as a secondary turbo boost while doing a shit-ton of damage to anyone he touches.
lmao ikr, I only ever played Modo
One of my favorites on the SNES! Thanks for sharing such a detailed review so others can find as much joy
thats one of my absolute favourites from back in the day. the show as well as the game. i think this is even better than rock n roll racing
This was an amazing combat racer. A real Konami gem. Similar to Rock 'n Roll Racing, but I agree with Drunk, I'd say this one is actually more fun and has a lot more personality.
Best multiplayer snes game to me. Use to love the show and the game when I was a child. It gave me the most adrenalinic moments of my gaming life, and that was a couple years ago, not even in my childhood. I´m really glad that you finally did a proper review for this game that is so special to me, cheers from Perú
I have heard John Stossel referenced more in your videos than the rest of my life combined.
Give me a break.
it's a John Stossel reference...🙂
Gotta be slapped by David Schultz too LOL
I met him one time at a book signing after he gave a speech.
@@PsychomachineryEBM
I gotta say I never get sick of seeing stossel get smacked first on one side and then on the other.
It's a beautiful magical moment.
Sssssttosssdrunk
Great game.
Loved the cartoon when I was a kid. Beat the game as Vinnie on _super hard mode_ back in the day.
Rock on citizens!
I remember seeing this back in the day and thinking it was a kids version or rock n roll racing, passed very hard. I wasn't too familiar with the cartoon, our schools are part-time in Brazil, and, for some reason, kid's TV was only in the morning, when I was at school, lol.
Anyway, gonna give this another chance, some 25 years later
ROCK roll racing is a classic, and better game for me, but this was a fun game i played among my 300 -400 games. 😉
It won't dissappoint you. I prefer this game solo carreer over RnR racing since there's more strategy in race, compared to RnR's.
Legitimately one of my favourite SNES games ever. Found it in a bargain bin one time, bought based on the licence alone (had no idea about the game, loved the cartoon) and was both overwhelmed and overjoyed by its greatness. Could easily still play it today.
It's just too bad they didn't make a game for Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills.
Manu Ginobilis Bald Spot Good one!
Weren't sure wether you made a joke or not, but this actually exists!
I miss the crazyness of the 90s
I think tiny toons mocked shows that riffed on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles including this show with sub(aged?) Samurai Space Slugs, tho Street Sharks and Wild West C.O.W.Boys of Moo Mesa also ripped off this formula
I know only Beverly hills 90210.
You can add random words after "Beverley Hills" and you have a movie title.
Beverley Hills Badger.
Beverley Hills Ninja.
I remember playing this game with my cousin back in the day and he got so mad when he lost that he threw a cheeseburger at the tv...better believe my Aunt went Biker Mice From Mars all over his ass.
Yeah, dont waste a perfectly fine cheeseburger.
😂
L.mfao 😂😂😂
Boomer parents are scary. They anger easily, probably from the lead poisoning.
Me and my cousins sunk hours into this
Love this game. I was playing it on emulator few days ago and Modo is my favorite. The music is so cool! Great review, Drunk!
Great review loved this game as a kid playing against my cousins!
Didnt even watch the video, but came here to say that this is one of my favorite SNES game. At least on Co-op this game is perfect. So many fun times and good memories from this... Now im gonna watch the video. Thanks mr Drunk.
Had this game as a kid and loved it!!! So glad you finally gave it its own video. Keep these great videos coming man!
In case anyone is wondering, the little 'thing' you mention in the video a racer transforms into is a character from the show called Fred the Mutant. He's a bit of a side character and kinda goofy (like an Igor type personality); and usually subject of painful experiments by Dr. Karbuncle.
I love watching this show growing up. The cartoon still holds up today (the original one) even if it's a little corny at times. Let's rock... and RIDE!!!
I love the sheer amount of Stossel in this channel. No one else is bringing up Stossel and they should be
I always figured this was a simple racing game.
Cool to learn about how much detail there actually is within the game!
I remember playing this with my best friend for hours upon hours! Great great game. Ty for reminding me. ✌🏻
I think the mouse with the purple bike was the best.
God, I love this game so much. So much that I still remember the password for a fully upgraded Vinnie. And I agree about how nuanced some of the racing mechanics are, those little techniques you can master and some shortcuts that you can take (mainly using Vinnie).
Great video man, you just earned a sub. :)
Yes! I'm still playing this awesome game!
I regret have never played that one back the the days. The game tiles are so well drawn and have such a diverse palette that it genuinely looks like a 32-bit game.
I believe this game was peak 16-bit gaming era.
@@sandyamaulana2317 Obviously, it was on SNES. I'm just saying that it is so well designed that visually it leaves nothing to be desired from a 32-bit.
@@anumpreto By peak, he meant that it was the best that these systems could offer, which explains why it might look almost 32-bit.
Whoever disliked this was a Ninja Turtles fan.
All kidding aside, this game is hella fun. If you can manage to get the controls down top-notch and get used to the gameplay, you can definitely enjoy Biker Mice From Mars. Plus, I have such a crush on Charley on the show, she's definitely hella thicc.
I just discovered this game yesterday while perusing through my SNES ROM collection. It's pretty fun. Isometric racers were never really my thing back in the NES & SNES days but it's still a good game!
John Stossel Apostles with Colossal Fossils my favorite SNES Strategy RPG
This game and Rock&Roll Racing were my favorite racing games back in the SNES era. Something about that perspective really clicked with me.
Your content brings me joy. Thank you.
2:35 That would be the aforementioned Fred 😁
Severely underrated gem of a game. I played a ton of it back in the (later) SNES days. Limburger was my go-to I loved turning around and shooting people behind me lol.
The pixel art was definitely on par and ahead of its time here. Reminds me kind of a GBA game, which to me was a continuation that cartoony style from Capcom’s CPS2 games and even some of Konami’s own like Turtles in Time.
The gameplay on the other hand looks extremely derivative and bolted together...
2:40 that's Fred, a masochistic mutant created by Dr. Karbunkle to experiment his inventions on (especially the most painful/humiliating ones) and does some side jobs for the villain as well (such as being Limburger's limo driver). He speaks like Barney Gumble and whenever somebody hurts him, he asks for more.
Big BMFM fan over here. Modo is my favorite and I finished the game with Vinnie.
Thank you for reviewing it!
Biker Mice From Mars cartoon was awesome!!!!!! loved this video, took me back!
This game is simply awesome, I've played for years and years, never gets old.
Having lived near Utica for a while, I found the Unicycle Urchins from Utica to be hilarious!!! Hahaha, great video!!!!
Really. Well, I'm from Utica, and I've never heard anyone use the phrase "unicycle urchins".
I’m from Utica too! SNES drunk is so random and hilarious- like Pete Incavelia Combat Baseball!
@@NickEnlowe Oh, not in Utica, no. It's an Albany expression.
@@werecactus6 I see.
Hell yeah i used to watch this Cartoon. I love the weapons their bikes had.
*LETS ROCK. AND RIDE!!!*
I had been anticipating you reviewing this one. Probably one of the more high profile SNES games left you hadn't reviewed individually. It's a great game and I like it more than Rock n' Roll Racing myself as well. It's just got such a fun, arcade-y '90s vibe to it.
Love this game
The only kinda drunk I want to be.
Wish i hated alcohol. Ha ✌
@Xenovia Ana Medusa enjoy. I like the sound of that plan!
@@cloud9mitchellj509 You will ;) ... nah, each to their own.
@@klonewavverr2909 right!? :) indeed to each their own tho 👍
Or high on da 420
One of the coolest things about the cartridge era was how random and obscure some games and game titles would be. It was just less of a hassle to produce games back then so we were showered with some really great stuff! I remember my dad renting Earthworm Jim and I was like wtf is this?
Most most impressive to me here is that every single racer is a different design visually, which is a lot of unique sprites onscreen at once. And the game really looks nice because of this, and just some really nice pixel art in general.
Loved this game as a kid. And its still fun. I find it really great, that every character plays/drives differently. And Karbunkels grapplehook is just amazing. Use it right, and you get a speed boost at every corner. Slingshotting you to place 1 and victory.
Without watching the video: YES. HELL YEAH IT IS!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I just saw the title and even before clicking the video, I had the same reaction.
And I'm not usually like that! :D
That soundtrack kicks more ass than I remember; Good stuff.
Man, my brother and i used to watch this show. Then the video game came out and we were all in! I used to race as Dr. Karbunkle. His projectile turns the other players into a little running flower. Idk what they say when they get hit (sounds like floppy) but it made us laugh our asses off! Great memories, great game, great review!
When I got back into SNES back in 2013 I had no idea what was really out there so I just started looking for game titles of well known cartoon franchises I watched growing up in the 90s. BMFM was one of them and stands out in my mind as not only one of the best cartoons to go on a SNES outing but one of the best racers on the system too.
I used to love this game back in the day.
"Trucker Geese from Tallahassee"! Man that came unexpected. I almost spat my Coffee all over the Place :-D
Biker Mice From Mars was a very popular game in my country when I was in high school. Lots of people played it back then.
I remember renting SNES for hours (paid by the hour) with some neighborhood kids to play this game. Some of us didn't even know each other at first, and we bonded over playing this game because we all loved the show and the solid gameplay (and humor) that the game offered. Good times.
oh, thanks for the vid! I really loved the cartoon back in the day and the game.. wow it is great!
It’s even more fun and can be much faster than it looks in the demos shown! This was a beast of a game in its time and I still play it when I get nostalgic.
Biker Mice From Mars was also a US localisation of the UK's Avenger Penguins. Why they needed to redo the show when it was from another country that speaks English I'll never know.
Both shows featured a trio of beastly biker heroes who defended Big City from a villain called Doom (who looked exactly the same in both shows).
Avenger Penguins was made by Cosgrove Hall, who also made Danger Mouse, Duckula, and Victor and Hugo: Bunglers in Crime.
Great video, thank you for all of your top quality reviews of these forgotten video gaming treasures.
I genuinely think I may have been one of the best biker mice from mars players back in the mid 90's. I played this game so much, and never lost against my friends. Vinnie is by far the best character, Modo a strong second thanks to their attacks that can also be used as a speed boost and they have the best special turn speed boost that you could combo together with tapping accelerate button three times for yet another speed boost. Man i want to play this again.
Great cartoon, that would never get made today. The game still holds up today, you've made me want to play it again.
Modo was the character I chose to beat the game after losing with Vinni. I rented this game when I was like 9 and no matter how many times I tried I couldn't win with Vinni unaware of the tricks you mentioned. I beat this game multiple times with Modo because he is surprisingly the most balanced. His speed is what took me to victory. I think I'll try again with Vinni. That game is always a joy to play! Thanks for reviewing.
This was one that passed me by back in the day. I think I was too busy playing Metal Warriors...
I'm amazed at how smooth this plays at the speed it does. Visually, Konami did a very good job with this one.
This game is absolutely fantastic, I used to have an Xmas tradition of playing til 4am with my brothers. Also the music is amazing, one day ill make some covers of the tunes. We still play some races from time to time, after all these years
What a weird and creative mix. Mice and Mars and Motorcycles? Heck yeah
0:46 That one was a childhood favorite of mine. My favorite episode was when David Schultz made a special guest appearance and asked Stossel if he thought the fossils were fake.
I used to play this often. Years later i got the rom, then thought the whole time it's a crappy hack version where Snickers was disturbingly everwhere. Now i know why. Thank you SnesDrunk.
It's the little things that keep me going, like hearing the SNESdrunk intro in stereo.
"Throw random stuff together, and boom, you got a TV Show."
Good times. 😊
Total length of video: 360 secs.
Total length of "SNES Drunk": 3 secs.
.83% of the video was spent listening to "SNES Drunk."
You always bring out the best memories!
You gotta do the 360 turns with Vinnie only way you can win races with him and save the jumping attack to get that final boost for the finish line
Checking this out because I was just reading a memoir article by Jeremy Blaustein about when he translated/localized the first Metal Gear Solid game, and he mentioned this one of the first games he worked on as a translator.
This game was one of SNES pleasant surprises. I would have never rented this by myself (since i shared the same perception that most toon licensed games were bad), but since of my neighbors owned it i decided to give it a try.
Had countless hours of fun, its one of the best playability titles on the system and the music is top notch!
Now have Asahi beer all over my MacBook Air thanks to 00:46 - well played, well played :)
Best racing game ever for me! The joy when you successfully crush someone with Vinny! Since is extremely hard
Me and my 2 brothers were addicted to this game. I especially loved the soundtrack. Konami nailed it.
With Vinney and Karbunkle after getting speed boosts off of turns or mashing B button you can keep tapping the break button to maintain their boost speed which keeps building up to the point where no one else can keep up. Coupled with their acceleration speed it puts these two characters in a league of their own. Don't even need engines to lap the AI several times in a race.
This looks awesome, i remember that show
I remember playing this once in a store back in the days. I chose Limburger and proceeded to completely own each circuit due to how overpowered he gets. Fun times.
I LOVE this game, and since adding it to my SNES Mini my 11 year old nephew has come to love it too!
I actually enjoyed a lot the random ideas for cartoons in those times. They were kinda weird in a way but very creative and fun. Limburguer was hilarious with his dance in every episode and playing this game later was incredibly fun with friends even if I kinda expected that they would pick something more like a Batman game with some race modes and platforming.
I loved this game. The one guy yelled something that sounded like "monopoly!".
My personal favorite 3 random mixed things cartoon was Samurai Pizza Cats. I used to stay up all night long and watch that when it came on at like 5am when I was a kid. No joke, it was back2back with Superhuman Samurai Cyber-squad. No wonder I couldn't sleep. How could you not stay up all night for that insanity? Why was the 90's obsessed with mixing some insane absurd thing with Ninjas or Samurais?
I love watching ur vids never really leave comments but I have to on this one brings me back to my childhood I played this game all the time with my cousin hands down one of the best snes games
I had Vinnie’s red sport motorcycle toy as a kid. Love this show
A: needs to be on blu ray and or DVD
B: Needs a video game release on literally everything
C: I really want to play this again
A SNES classic! Finished it again these days. Still a pretty fun game to play!
Gotta luv that game, I have never finished it, though I have a copy... it gets REALLY hard on the latest levels...
If you like Rock n' Roll racing, u'll probably like this one as well...
John Stossel apostles with colossal fossils. Well done
I always wished Modo had gotten Vinnies bike. I love the look of street bikes more than other styles, and Modo had 2 of my 3 fav 90s styles going for him: eyepatch and arm cannon (third was long hair on dudes a la green ranger/Izod from Pirates of Dark Water(who had a front ponytail too!)). Also, he was the one with the most 'tude (and heart), just like Raphael from TMNT.
Was surprised to hear there was a sequel cartoon that finally wrapped up the series.
Love this channel and this game! ... Vinnie was THE Dude. I played the hell out of this back in the day.
His Jump increased his speed like crazy when you landed! In fact he was OP fast if you stacked special upgrades cause you could just hop the whole map with your surplus of specials. Stacking engine upgrade made him banned in my group of friends hah.
Awesome. I'm glad to see you make a video on this game. It's definitely an old favorite. Konami really was on point with all of their liscened games.
I freakin love this game! As a Kid i was so stoked about Mice comming from Mars eating Mars snacks and a cool racer from Konami
Awesome show as well, my inner kid still want to watch 90's Cartoon as often as possible :)
Utica was my hometown! Can't believe someone just mentioned it!
Josh Benoit bet you creamed your pants when it was mentioned on the office
