  • Just before NYE 2021 I took the Endeavour along the sea front. I've ridden this route countless times before but this time around I got unlucky with the weather, sea water found a way to kill my board.
    After a full tear down, and I really mean a full 6 hour+ refurb she's back up and running. Everything was cleaned, re-lubricated, new weatherproofing added and a fixed VESC. Hopefully we'll be trucking through 2022!
    Happy New Years all.

    Should I worry about water getting to the motors or it's not a concern? Just took mine through all possible paddles and mud, seems fine couple hours later, but definitely learnt a lesson from your video. Cheers

    The board looks factory fresh after your cleaning and refurbishment - sorry to hear of your exploits.

    Looking good again. Maybe try putting some sort of sealed internal cover over the charging cap spring catch to keep water out as well.

    hi, is there is a way to make it more water resistant so it would tolerate water better way? cover the inside with epoxy maybe?

    Hey thanks for the video. How hard was it to remove the deck?

    • @M0LHA
      @M0LHA  2 роки тому

      Removing the deck is pretty trivial but you'll damage the stock grip tape unfortunately as the deck screws are under the tape. It's not a massive issue, just wont look as good as stock.
      That said I personally changed the tape anyway.

      @@M0LHA needs new grip tape anyway. Awesome, thanks!

    How easy was it to install the bluetooth adapter to the vesc? And where did you get the adapter?

    • @M0LHA

      Once the deck is off, it's just a case of plugging it in. You can find the adapter on flipsky's website, just get the version for vesc four. I'm on my phone atm, if you can't find it let me know

    Have you considered modding Endevour Pro for partial wateproofing so you can ride after a heavy rain? i.e. by covering the wholes in the bottom and adding mudguards?

      Hey Alen, I've actually already improved upon the waterproofing. New seals, extra silicon etc but water is a massive pain - it has a nasty habit of finding any spot to ruin your day.
      Mudguards, that's a good idea. Maybe I can 3d print something. My only concern would be they'll break pretty quickly if you catch an edge etc.
      I'd be interested to see what you've done with your board if you get a moment.

      @@M0LHA thank you for sharing. I've not done anything yet, but planning to do since I'm sick of using public transport on rainy days 😭

      @@alenpln Haha, yeah I can appreciate that!
      Hopefully I wont get shot for this but you may find the Evolve GTR has better waterproofing out of the box than the Propel.
      I've been meaning to get my hands on their "GTR v2" to test it out but if the last one was anything to go by it was pretty solid when the weather came rolling in.

      @@alenpln Though I'll just mention. I generally wouldn't suggest riding in the rain. Doesn't take much for the relatively small wheels to slip out on you.
      (we've all done it, but just be careful)

      @@M0LHA thanks for the warning. I haven't received my propel end pro yet, and my current Ownboard Zeus handles puddles quite okay, the only problem is wet shoes

    Hey, can you tell me if I could use an Esk8 like Propel Endeavor Pro to get my dog to pull it ? I mean,,,can I break something if the board is off while a dog is pulling, or if it can break something if it's not accelerated from the remote control ? Thank you !

    • @M0LHA
      @M0LHA  2 роки тому +1

      It won’t break anything, but you may get destabilised by your dog if he yanks you forward. I’d suggest letting your dog run aside or in front of you on a retractable lead

      @@M0LHA Thank you for your reply :) ... I will use a bungee-like line so I can compensate the pulls ... I used to get my dog to pull me on rollerblades but wanna try something different but I wasn't sure if it's possible to use the board for that ... was thinking that something can mess up while being accelerated from something else and not the remote.
