Right - the remote works for UA-cam and music apps, but not VR apps. Trying to play a VR app-game and the remote turns on Spotify.
Switch it to game mode and turn sideways

all this does is control the volume in ios but it's a game controller for Android unless someone knows how to configure it for ios basically is just a volume control

Ok i watched this video.. I can pair my controller with the phone, and it does the same functions you have shown here with the volume and play video mute etc.. but it doesn't work or do anything in actual VR program/games..
Try different combinations: 1. Press @+A and try the remote 2. Press @+B and etc.
what combination has worked for you? These combinations are when the phone is already paired and your in the VR app under "game" mode.. Game mode doesn't seem to do anything at all, but in "key" mode that is when i can control things like the volume etc.. THe mouse function I would imagine would be the best feature of the controller, but the mouse function doesn't work on i phone
Please look at the descriptions on how to change to different mode. There's a way to use mouse function.
macdaddypimpping mouse function doesn't work on Iphones. If you can get it to work on an Iphone id love to see it.
Somehow it says Utopia Controller will only works with iCade apps in Apple Store. Let me do some more research on this.

My favorite part of your video was when you were trying to get your wifi to work. Ever hear of video editing? I was hoping you would mention how to get the bluetooth remote to work with VR, since I believe that is the main reason people buy these things. You put on the goggles, and then any interface that requires you to touch the screen becomes useless...

Dude you had me psyched thinking you really got it to work. So everyone can get the controller to do that, its in "media mode" but even if you switch to "game mode." Try going up /down/left/right ins game, or make it do anything ins game besides change the volume or exit to the home screen. From what I love heard it works great with android though. On iOS the only useful thing it does is snap a photo remotely, so you couldn't tape it to a cheap selfie stick and take selfies woohoo.
Android works well with this controller. Apple blocks majority of 3rd party devices for game play.

This is not a game controller. All it does is give you volume control and some transport functions. It controls absolutely nothing in the app itself, and that's why people are saying it doesn't work. It would probably help if you stop advertising it as a controller for the VR headset. It does nothing to interact with the apps themselves. At least on the iPhone. I've tried all modes and it is paired correctly, and I'm on my second remote now after having the same exact problem with the one that came with my headset. It's not a problem of user error. It's not because the unit is defective and needs replaced. This hardware is simply being sold as something it is not. If it really does work for games, why didn't you demonstrate that in your video?
This game controller works on my Android smartphones and some VR games. Unfortunately, Apple blocks out most of 3rd party device to control their products. Which is sucks for Apple fans. I have tried this controller: ua-cam.com/video/uzf1_XqEaus/v-deo.html which cost me $49.99 and that still won't cut it.

The one i got is a total Fake. got it from walmart. the controller is missing buttons and the packaging is covered in Spanish. I can;t find any evidence of it existing anywhere online The product number on the box is MIC-VRB04
It does work, you have to put it in game mode, by pressing the @ button and B at the same time, if you don't do that then It will do what your talking about

The reason why so many people are saying their remote doesnt work, is because it doesnt work properly!! I have two of these and one wont pair to any device. Just because the one you have is working doesnt mean the product isnt flawed.
What, you didn't see my video that proves it works? If you bought on that didn't work then go return it to where you purchased from and get your money back. My video doesn't lie.
My pad isn't doing anything to the phone or VR apps and games. The phone says it's paired but I'm not getting anything from the controller. Any ideas on what it could be, would help me a lot! Thanks!
Have you follow my instructions step-by-step? What part did you get stuck? Did you see your controller under bluetooth setting at all?

HELP! So I connected the controller to my bluetooth, and when I put my phone into the virtual reality mask (or whatever its called), I am not able to use the controller. Guys! I got it working after a long time of struggle. If the pointer doesn't appear after holding @ + D, try taking out the batteries and putting them back in. This worked for me.

In other words if you buy this (for how it’s mostly marketed) VR headset use, the remote is useless. You can’t use the remote to switch apps, click, in app select etc.
It will full control on UA-cam VR and Music Play, Skip, Previous Track, Mute, Play, Pause, Volume Up & Down Control. Must use @+A combo only.
What kind of phone I have to use
This works with the iPhone, turning up and down volume and turning on music, but NOT with any of the VR apps I download. I have pressed @B which is game mode but it doesn't work.
Blame on Apple for not allowing their devices to use with 3rd party devices.

This remote simply doesn’t work properly for iPhone. It only volume button, or the home button. As such it is useless for a mouse or controller replacement.
Blame on Apple not the remote works fine on Android.

Try to toggle your bluetooth from your phone on and off. Turn of your bluetooth and then install batteries on your remote to scan for bluetooth device.
The bluetooth on my remote connecting to my android smartphone keeps cutting out. I keep having to connect it every few minutes. But the bluetooth connecting computer and phone stays connected for a long time.

Mine says it is it s paired it shows on my phone but won't connect I have two and neither remotes work so it must be a defect in these remotes are something can't be a coincidence since I have two not working with remote otherwise the system is fine until I need a remote.
Finally it connected went to another video and the comments somebody said they had to switch the button from android to ios back and forth before the bluetooth would connect. I did it and it finally connected to my phone. Weird but it must be a defect in that button they need to look into that.

This thing presses the power button no matter which way I position it. I can think of a few MacGuyver ways to solve this, but is there a good way? I'll try taking a cheapo $1 case and cutting out the tiny slivers of plastic over the buttons... that shouldn't be too heinous!

Is it the same controller? Did you get it from the same store? When you install batteries into your controller blue led light should start blinking right away. Check your batteries first.
