FUN FACT: It's a track tradition in Interlagos ( Brazilian GP ) to climb the structures or knock down the barriers in some sectors to invade/trespass the track, which is against the rules but very much appreciated from the teams side, they always throw gifts and merch to fans and most drivers show up to say hi and enjoy the moment, everyone expects that, since it's happenning for quite awhile now ;)
Lewis' stylist is also the stylist of Zendaya and sometimes, Tom Holland. No wonder that up until a few years ago, Lewis had a bigger following (or recognition solely by name) in the US than any other driver
“No one quite like him in the paddock” is not always a good thing, I once saw a picture with a bunch of dinner forks, one was bent and unusable. The caption on the picture read “ just because you are unique does not mean you’re useful”. Is anyone anywhere wearing the clown outfits that Lewis is hucking?
@@nomiguda what I mean is that his success on track helped him get a stylist that also works with Hollywood people, not the opposite. People who follow celebrities and their fashion normally go looking for who styles them and might have come across other clients.
@Kym Illman Number 13 isn't exactly correct. Teams cannot spread the excess weight across the car for added weight distribution. They MUST add the extra weight to the seating area. This is to ensure there's no performance benefit from being "light".
Laws vary by country, of course, but in the US (and I suspect we're not alone) in addition to the passive "release" printed on tickets that allow one's photo to be taken/used where also the concept of an "expectation of privacy" that's key to deciding if a person's right to privacy has been violated should the issue go to court. No one can claim such an expectation if they are in the midst of a major public sporting event as part of a crowd of many thousands of others.
5:58 Lando in Mexico 2019 with Jarvis ,performance engineer(well known from the video Oh No Me Shoooesss! ),William Joseph- his race engineer and his mechanics doing their post-race 'salmon' pose. Hey Kym, can you make a playlist for your channel where you have all the "things you need to know about F1" videos please! it would be so much easier to find them all. :) thanks
I'm just imagining the hilarity of Kym running to the background to move the white statue around, get himself back in proper frame so you can see it, and then running back between takes.
Ahh memories of a wrench pumping oil in jaques villeneuve s , cold start.mtl gp. Shot on a hasselblad swc . Damm the earth shook. Want pics of the Renault's turbo. Damm nice exhausts and downpipes.
I would to sit and have a chat with Kym. He's such an interesting, no nonsense character. His ability to throw shade without you knowing is an art form. Ha ha. #staypassionate
... about the terms of use. It says that their likeness could be used for advertising or promotion. You used their likeness in a book showcasing your photography. I would think there would be a difference, legally? FYI, I love your photos and am incredibly jealous of your job being a recreational photographer myself with an awful job (LOL!). Anyway, I totally agree that if you go to a sporting event you might see your picture somewhere and am on your side of this. I am, although, very curious of the wording on that ticket's terms of use. Oh well Best wishes, -Eric 🏁
Hey Kym, I've got to correct you an #7, at least for the Montreal race. The type of contract that you are referring to where everyone "automatically" accepts something (anything really) has no legal value here. The law in the province of Quebec actually prohibits such contracts and renders them totally invalid. Not sure about the rest of the country or other countries where F1 holds races. Regardless, I still love your videos and can't afford tickets to a race anyways 😀. Keep up the great work and I can't wait to see your photos taken with the R3!
The WA tourist board probably doesn't like your travel tip. Did you see that recent video with the aboriginal translator woman who didn't translate anything?! I think it was with the WA guy.
@@rozelynjenkins1811 did you see the last pictures of Verstappen at the beach? The fact the statue changes places so many times is brilliant.
I thought one time it would be a person who moves, just for laughs.
Wonder what they were reading?
I noticed the 'moving' statue as well! :)

I saw that Olav Mol got a pass to enter every race ever. He got it from Jean Todt when he hit a milestone in the sport.
Forgot Binotto. That's a Kim Illman worn Ferrari shirt.
I was waiting for the last shot to be that white mannequin wearing the shirt. 🤪

I would suggest his successive championships gave him the notoriety, not what clothes he wore
@@nomiguda Yeah, it's a bit silly to think he's famous for wearing really stupid outfits. He's famous because he's successful.
Lewis has a stylist? He just wears same costumes off the rack/ catwalk / not really a style - unlike say Westbrook or others. I’m just old and uncool.

2016 Bottas was just a different animal
can't wait to see what he can do in Alfa Romeo if given a decent car with no pressure on him
Was he though, really?!
The white mannequin is kinda freaky. Looks like the casts of victims at Pompeii. Is that art? Or your naughty playtoy? 😁

Exactly. A bit surprising Kym got this wrong. You can see Lewis bulked up between 2018 and 2019 because of the change.
Danny Ric now represented by CAA, one of the biggest sports/entertainment agencies out there
That manneqiun moving a bit mad yanah like man really put the effort to change its position every time the video cuts mad loce your content btw
Glad you picked up on it
Loved this new style of editing... amazing video as always, Kym!!!

What's that ghostly white statue that keeps moving about. 😂 Had me thinking for a second I was losing my mind.
Kym, you are being stalked by the figurine.

Another great video. Nice to see you at home instead of a hotel Kym. Love the moving sculpture! Are you planning to attend any pre-season testing?
Love ya little mate in the background 😄

Thank you for sharing that photography permission bit. I had no idea.
No worries!
Hi Kim. Once again thank you for sharing. I like your seated white man. Gets around, doesn’t he 🌞
I’m glad you noticed. Took some effort
If you watch, McLaren's "Unboxed" on their UA-cam, you often see Lando do that.
Loving these videos so much, it's my winter break entertainment!
Kym doing the blaggers an absolute solid by having pictures of the media accreditation cards xD
That’ll do no one any good. They’ll soon find that out.
Magic...so looking forward to next season with you Kym...your passion is infectious...Cheers.
Interesting facts! But i was kept amused at how often the white mannequin moves around! lol
Lando is always tapping that crossbar into the garage in the Mclaren videos, feels like he's done it in every episode last season
Thanks so much do for sharing this information some I knew but most I didn’t. Keep up the great work and sharing of the great pics!
HEY THAT WHITE STATUE OF GUY SITING IS MOVING AFTER EVERY CUT !!!!
Never get enough F1
Love the moving statue in the video
Would be good to see video ranting the 2021 helmet designs. And mentions of the new helmets throughout 2022
i love how you always move that shots and things in the shot around .. lol
Do you work for a paper or do you fly solo? Just wondering!
I enjoyed your version of Elf on a Shelf.
I feel your pain with WA and our situation, but at least you got to travel
Did you know Vettel wears a lucky coin in his racing shoes, every race ?
Please take a picture of it if you can. ;p
Love the vibes of this video!!!!
Hamilton's clothes goes from "good" to "oh god that dont look good on you"
..yes, he looks ridiculous most of the time. Dare I say freakish .
He is a celebrity with an outstanding car. That’s the best thing I can say about him.
Mate its the same CRAP with covid here in canada. I FEEL YOU ❤ id love to say hi if ever youre at the Montreal GP (if there is one)
Love the vid, as always! Have to say that the Pompeii victims on your floor are a bit creepy. Yikes!
It's good that Kym gives away the shirt but first wears it in for you.
Love your videos! Can’t wait for F1 ‘22

looking great Kym! Keep safe my friend!
Does the waiver apply to celebrities who are at the track?
How many of those mannequin do you have? Or, do you keep moving that same one around?
Great info thank you :) the ending lol sadly I'm too big for the shirt hmm
@5:58 kym wasting our time by making us slow down the video and rewind and pause repeatedly because it apparently helps with the UA-cam algorithm
Fascinating stuff learning how it all works.
The WA tourist board probably doesn't like your travel tip. Did you see that recent video with the aboriginal translator woman who didn't translate anything?! I think it was with the WA guy.
kym .. do you use multiple led drivers or just one for that magnificent LED strip on the cieling ?.. just wondering lol
WOW yuki is only 54kg and i thought i was light being 59-60kg in my late 20's
Can’t wait for F1 new season.
Great content as always, Kym! TIL I'll never do F1 because I weigh 90 kilos :(
By the way, greeting from the rest of Melbourne as WA is a separate county in mind hehe hopefully we see you in VIC :)
Hey Kim, Do you know anymore on the testing in Barcelona ?? If it will be open to the public etc
No public allowed I believe.
@@KymIllman Ahh that’s a shame. Thanks for replying 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 love the vids.
What's with the white seated reader moving from place to place in the room??
They changed the weight added to the car to be the weight added to the cockpit. Because it was deemed unfair by heavier drivers.
Enjoyed the Video Kym!!!
The flying finn
Damn those are some cool, wierd and fun facts 😂
Would love to win the shirt as I’ve been a Ferrari fan for the best part of 40 years.
👌 great content Kym 👏
I spent half the video examining the room
im going to silverstone on quali day
6:10 who else thought PLAT meant Platinum 😂
Would really love to win Lando Norris' signed photograph. From Philippines.
Haha the white statue is a bit creepy
Yuki's a featherweight. About as much as one of my octogenarian relatives.
Ooh, a Metteo Binotto signed team shirt. Does it come with a wig? Sorry Kym.
This vid is not for a person with OCD...will go crazy with that moving statue behind...
07:55 Velocity is measured by "Km/h"; not "Km/hr"
Both of them are the same, aren't they?
Kilometres per hour?
Is the single frame of Lando @ 5:59 an Easter egg? 🤔
Can you make a video about Fernando Alonso?
Wow, great offseason content! Keep it going! I’ma try to win me that shirt
What size is this Ferrari shirt?
4:29 does that mean they all wear/have the size of helmet?
Wow interesting facts
Good video Kym
love your channel
Nice video👍
Travel Tips are back. It's been awhile.
What’s with that dude in the back reading the book, he’s moving so much
He couldn’t get comfortable
Amazing content
5:58 is saw that photo which race is it from? 😅
Mexico 2019
Lewis is heavier than Verstappen and Stroll? Hard to believe, someone's got to be lying 😅
Verstappen is super skinny. Lewis has junk and thighs. I was thinking the same thing though.

@@qrda3315 Good point, that would make more sense, tbh.
That white mannequin looks creepy
10:03 tha 🅱️oss
Does anyone else desperately want Kym to a house tour ?
Not at all
Really admire WA for staying closed to protect it's vulnerable people... We opened in QLD, now a bunch of people are dead...
hahaha .. I love how you are always moving that little white man around your place .. lol .. very entertaining ;-)
