Bachelorette Pad with Anita Rosenberg & Maryann Brandon

One of the first Barbie films was Anita Rosenberg's graduate thesis from NYU, "Bachelorette Pad." Stop-motion Barbie dolls that come to life with a romance comic book vibe, this film was developed into an ABC sitcom with Universal Studio in 1982, shortly after Rosenberg arrived in Los Angeles.
With the launch of her new book, "How to be the Star of Your Life: Lessons From Hollywood & Beyond," Anita's panel at The Last Book Store this past April 2024 reunited her with filmmaker Maryann Brandon as they share stories of the two-women crew who made this kitsch and campy short film, along with the film itself.
